I had high hopes for this place, we have a similar place in Houston called beard Pappas, and the beard Pappas are about orange sized filled cream puffs for about the same price as you get this small sized item. I had the raspberry lemon, and in my opinion it was way too sweet for the quantity, I wish it was not as sweet. They are beautifully presented. Friendly staff.

Hazelnut, citron (lemon), raspberry, pistachio. Passionfruit not pictured but was the best!

You must must must visit Popelini if you're ever in Paris. This is my absolute favorite dessert place ever. I was never a big fan of cream puffs, but decided to try Popelini out since my boyfriend loves them. The first flavor I tried was passionfruit and I literally stopped in my tracks. I was speechless. It was one of the most delicious, beautiful, flavorful, bright, and perfectly sweet desserts I ever had. I also tried their raspberry, pistachio, vanilla, lemon, and hazelnut flavors. All of these were wonderful, but the standouts for me were passionfruit and raspberry. The mini cream puffs are filled with light cream and topped with beautiful sweet icing. They weren't the most affordable desserts around. For 6 of these magical things, it was 14 euros. I came here twice, the first day of my trip and the last. For tourists who do not speak French, don't be scared! The cashiers I encountered were familiar with English.

The strawberry cream puff was one of the best bites I had in Paris. The cold cream was perfection. I tried another one later in the trip that was also good. But that strawberry mmmmmm

I normally don't like cream puffs but these were amazing!

We came here after reading a recommendation from reddit and we don't regret it! The outside window is sooooo cute! and the inside decor is spotless and very simplistic. The creampuffs are slightly pricey, I forget how much. I usually don't like cream puffs in america cause I'm not big on "cream" but I was blown away here. We liked it so much I had to get it again before we left paris! We got a few, but my favorite was the salted caramel and the white-chocolate strawberry one. SO creamy and SO delicious. I do recommend you eat it right away as the cream is chilled and it helps avoid the cream puff being soggy. We also got some more fruit flavors like passion fruit but I'm not sure if I really liked them as much. Highly Recommend! Pop in for a cream puff or two :P

    Love their cute shop

Sweet Jesus, is this place for real? I've been wanting to try their choux since i saw the photos on Instagram- every single flavor was out of this world delicious. Forget the macarons, these petit choux were AMAZING. Can't wait to go back. I would LOVE for them to open one in NYC.

The mascarpone cream puff was super cute and delicious!! We were randomly walking by and decided to pop into this place and see what they had-cute cream puffs galore!! Btw, double check the hours. We came on a Sunday at 5pm, but yelp said it closes at 3pm. FYI!

This establishment is incredibly cute and colorful. My eyes lit up when I saw the display. The cream puffs are sold in boxes of 6 for 14 euros or individually for a reasonable price. However, if you purchase less than six expect to take your puffs out on a napkin. I went for the box of six mainly because I was not going straight home and the packaging is sturdy. I love that they slip a sheet that has all their flavors in your bag before you leave. Otherwise, I would not have remembered what I asked for lol. Overall, I rate them 3 stars because service was just okay and the cream puffs were nothing spectacular. I thought the filling in just about all of the flavors I tried were off in one way or another. I bit each puff once before I tossed them away.

Another win for the Paris food tour. This was a quaint little shop with super fancy eclairs. While I may have forgotten what I got or how much I paid for it (yay for honeymoon brain), I'll say that this was super cute and worth a visit.

    YUUUMMMMMM!

Yuuuummmmm!!! We went back over and over on our trip to Paris. Their cream puffs are AMAZING!

A little pricey for the size but 100% worth it. The flavor of each puff was off the charts (I had one of each besides the coffee and pistachio flavors). The cream filled every puff perfectly. I liked the praline and citron flavor best! The filling in the citrus one is extremely tart but the topping is sweet and gives the puff an overall great balance!

The cutest shop! My brother and I ran into this store while roaming the streets and fell in love. The place is modern, clean and the staff was welcoming! We ate them as soon as we walked out. Pricy, but delicious and a Paris must.

We…read morehad finished lunch but were looking for some sweets before heading back to the hotel for a breather. I noticed this place was close-by, so off we went. Fou isn't a large space, really only enough for a queue to form and the staff to stand behind the counter. Unlike a traditional pâtisserie, there is no baking done on premises here. Instead, they import bakes from other pâtisseries and pastry chefs and sell them here. They had a good selection, with each having a label that tells where it came from and/or who the pasty chef was that created it. We decided on three pastries and a slice of cake - they were running a special where if we ordered three bakes then we could get a fourth for a discount. Each of the bakes were quite good - my favorite was the lemon which had great flavor while also being intricately decorated. Overall though, all our selections were high quality. Service was fast and friendly, and overall I had a good experience at Fou de Pâtisserie. It's a great option to get Paris' "greatest hits" from all over the city.

All the gorgeous pastries have signage indicating the maker of the treat. I visited this location as well as the location within the BHV on Rue Rivoli while I was in Paris. They both offered a lovely selection of treats! The caramel brûlée pâte à choux was quite possibly one of the best things I've ever eaten in my life - a sweet caramel cream filling and a crispy brûlée sugar top. I also tried the pistachio tart (salty, not very sweet) , the pear and almond tart (very fresh, not super sweet, and gorgeous), and the chocolate praliné tart (very rich, dark, and indulgent). Overall, this is definitely a patisserie that I will seek out on a future trip to Paris!

Angelina, Paris, France -- April 12…read more Our family of four with kids ages 9 and 10 stopped here for lunch after visiting the Louvre, drawn in by its reputation for having the best hot chocolate in the world. We were looking for a place to relax and refuel, and the experience felt a bit mixed overall. Arrival and First Impressions The space is elegant with classic Parisian charm. The line moved quickly, and we were seated with a great view of the dining room. It felt refined but still comfortable. The Highlights The famous hot chocolate lived up to expectations, thick, rich, and almost more like a dessert than a drink. We also had French onion soup and an éclair, both of which were very good. The pastries were clearly well made and thoughtfully prepared. The kids had chicken tenders, which they enjoyed, even though the tomato sauce was a bit different from what they expected. The Challenges The biggest drawback was the price. The meal felt expensive for what we ordered, coming in at €154 for a fairly simple lunch. Service felt slightly rushed as they moved tables along quickly. Final Thoughts We would likely return if we were nearby and specifically craving the hot chocolate again. It is a classic Paris stop and worth trying once, but the value may not justify going out of your way unless that signature experience is high on your list.

It really tastes like melted chocolate with a bit of milk mixed in to make it more drinkable. We went at a bit of an off time, late morning and it wasn't overly busy. We saw our server once and I couldn't recall who he was when it came time to get the bill. I asked a hostess walking by for our check and she told me to ask our server while walking away. We were able to flag another server down eventually but the whole process just took too long. The tables for four have chairs that don't quite tuck in causing for a bit awkward seating. If you like really thick hot chocolate, give it a try but otherwise ok to miss this one. Plenty of good hot chocolate throughout the city.
