I had high hopes for this place, we have a similar place in Houston called beard Pappas, and the beard Pappas are about orange sized filled cream puffs for about the same price as you get this small sized item. I had the raspberry lemon, and in my opinion it was way too sweet for the quantity, I wish it was not as sweet. They are beautifully presented. Friendly staff. read more

You must must must visit Popelini if you're ever in Paris. This is my absolute favorite dessert place ever. I was never a big fan of cream puffs, but decided to try Popelini out since my boyfriend loves them. The first flavor I tried was passionfruit and I literally stopped in my tracks. I was speechless. It was one of the most delicious, beautiful, flavorful, bright, and perfectly sweet desserts I ever had. I also tried their raspberry, pistachio, vanilla, lemon, and hazelnut flavors. All of these were wonderful, but the standouts for me were passionfruit and raspberry. The mini cream puffs are filled with light cream and topped with beautiful sweet icing. They weren't the most affordable desserts around. For 6 of these magical things, it was 14 euros. I came here twice, the first day of my trip and the last. For tourists who do not speak French, don't be scared! The cashiers I encountered were familiar with English. read more

We came here after reading a recommendation from reddit and we don't regret it! The outside window is sooooo cute! and the inside decor is spotless and very simplistic. The creampuffs are slightly pricey, I forget how much. I usually don't like cream puffs in america cause I'm not big on "cream" but I was blown away here. We liked it so much I had to get it again before we left paris! We got a few, but my favorite was the salted caramel and the white-chocolate strawberry one. SO creamy and SO delicious. I do recommend you eat it right away as the cream is chilled and it helps avoid the cream puff being soggy. This establishment is incredibly cute and colorful. My eyes lit up when I saw the display. The cream puffs are sold in boxes of 6 for 14 euros or individually for a reasonable price. However, if you purchase less than six expect to take your puffs out on a napkin. I went for the box of six mainly because I was not going straight home and the packaging is sturdy. I love that they slip a sheet that has all their flavors in your bag before you leave. Otherwise, I would not have remembered what I asked for lol. Overall, I rate them 3 stars because service was just okay and the cream puffs were nothing spectacular. I thought the filling in just about all of the flavors I tried were off in one way or another. These choux were some of the best things that we ate during our weekend in Paris - this place only sells choux - you can buy them individually or in sets of 6, 12, etc. If you want the cute, long rectangular box that holds 6, you'll have to buy that many (and it will cost you 14€). The little shop is beautiful, modern with a minimal wooden interior that lets the little colorful-topped choux stand out. You need to keep these refrigerated, so if you're hoping to save these for a snack on a train or plane later, you may want to just buy what you can consume as the cream inside may spoil after a long trip, or the pastry shell will get soggy. We had ordered 6 and then were told they needed to be refrigerated, so we proceeded to eat all 6 of them right away in the span of 10 min. It was a delicious lunch ;) They have about 20-25 different flavors, and the parfums du moment rotate, so ask them what flavors they are since they are not labeled with the actual flavor. The staff speaks English well, so you'll be able to get by even if you don't speak French. The outside pastry shell of the choux are all firm on the outside but soft at the same time. Exactly how this pastry should be. The cream is the right texture, not grainy and not overly sweet (for most of the flavors) We loved that they were mini sized so we could try a variety of flavors - there were some that had us wanting to go back to the store to get seconds. The flavors we got: - Passionfruit - I love everything passionfruit, so naturally I loved this one. This one was probably a tinge sweeter than the apple one, but it was delicious all the same. - Apple - This was a really unique flavor as I've never really had an "apple cream puff" but it was a perfect fall dessert. Small little pieces of apple were scattered through the cream and there weren't too many spices in the cream to overpower the whole chou. I'd highly recommend this one if you see it in the store; also the metallic copper chocolate piece on top was pretty. - Raspberry - This tasted like a raspberry sorbet in a chou; slightly tangy and tart, slightly sweet but not too sweet. This was a great combination and pretty unique. We liked this one a lot. - Salted Caramel - The salted caramel they make in Paris is amazing - not sickly sweet, and you can taste the saltiness to round out the rest of the pastry sweetness well. We loved this and wanted more. - Gianduja - I normally like anything with chocolate + hazelnut but this was too sweet for my taste. I wouldn't get this again. - Roasted Peanuts - This was one of their special / seasonal flavors and it was amazing. The texture of the peanut cream was light, perfect, and had just that perfect salty-sweet going on to complement the rest of the chou. This was one we wanted seconds of. Overall, about the same price as you'd pay for a macaron at Pierre Herme, so slightly pricey, but totally worth every penny. I loved these and would definitely come back here. Best to eat these fresh so the texture is as intended. Will definitely come back here again - there are 4 locations total in Paris, so hopefully you can find one of them to try these cute little choux. read more

A nice place for some choux! They have ~15 flavors available, which is great. Most were very good (our favorites being lemon and coffee) - we liked the seasonal flavors a bit less than their year-round classics (champagne was weird, raspberry was tasting more like mascarpone than like fruits). It is a bit more expensive than other places (€14 for 6 choux, compared to €10 at Odette; €27 for 12 choux). I like Odette better, but I must say that the variety here is nice :) read more

The fillings were delicious and not too sweet, and I love that each flavor has a different sweet topping on them (not sure what to call it, but it's sweet and has sort of a soft candy texture to it. omg this place is literally amazing. these things are basically round little donut holes but with filling. so basically an eclair shaped like a ball. the lady wasn't the nicest but the donut things made up for it. i got 2 of the caramel ones. HIGHLY recommend. read more
