Great place for late night eats towards the end of the week. Service was great, very nice people. I would suggest ordering online as everything is made fresh so it takes some time. Ordered lemonade, but was told after I had already paid that there was no more. Had to get either a fruit punch or a grape punch. The fruit punch tasted like Kool-Aid in the best way possible! Full of sugar though ha. Also ordered hot honey chicken wings. They were sweet and sticky with a nice heat kick to them. Chicken wings were perfectly fried and crispy despite being covered in sauce. When I saw chopped cheese on the menu (a NY staple) in Charleston I had to go check this place out. It was 10 at night and not much else was open but they had good reviews so I was excited. It's a takeout only spot where everything is made to order so it takes at least 45 mins. The order stations (2 iPads) weren't working so the chef took our order. She proceeded to tell us that they were out of most items like they usually are at this time of night (about 10:15 now) even though they don't close until 2a (interesting that's a usual occurrence but no adjustments have been made). We ordered a jerk chicken platter, and a honey garlic chicken platter which looked delicious! Upon closer examination the honey garlic platter was mostly rice, some chicken and random green peppers for $25. However, the flavor of the chicken was pretty good. The jerk platter was mostly chicken, however, it was sooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot I could only take a few bites. It was all pepper, no flavor. I love spice, but it completely blew my palate out to the point I couldn't taste anything else. I mean nose running, sinus clearing, hot! My partner couldn't stand one bite of it, so I had to throw the entire platter away. The worst part was the next day my friend noticed a random $12 charge come out of their account from the restaurant. They left a cash tip so they were very surprised to see the unauthorized charge to their card. They tried to get ahold of the business, but the phone just rings and rings. So we ended up going in person. The two business owners found the transaction and extra charge right away, but were looking at it on different computers and exchanging weird glances with each other. After about 15 mins the one man told the woman to give the $12 in cash. It was a small amount, but it's the principle. The fact that it happened and neither of them knew how was very sus. What a disappointment! Walking in you had water literally pouring down on us on the walkway. A small drainpipe would fix this. The young lady at the counter was very nice. However, the gentleman came from the back and turned the music up so loud for no apparent reason. While waiting for our order you could smell that the grease was dirty . We ordered the chicken, which was burnt and waffles, they were EGGOS! On the menu eggs were included with the dish. There were no eggs included. For $20 the waffles should've been homemade. The jerk chicken was ok, the macaroni and cheese were horrible. The noodles were over cooked and mushy and lacked taste, and overpriced for its size $14. It left a slippery texture in my mouth. The cornbread was a nice size and ok but over priced at $3.50. The menu was not what I saw posted on social media. When I questioned it, it was stated that most items were seasonal. I feel strongly about supporting black owned businesses, but I feel just as strongly about paying for quality. I would never return to place. I ended up throwing the food away. Unless they turn things around I can't see how they'll remain in business much longer. Review the pictures. Why would you dupe your customers and sell them this trash? Yes, the wait time for this location is LONG. I have read a few other reviews of people bothered by this fact, but the food is worth EVERY second. I ended up getting the Mac and Cheese with Buffalo shrimp and the Mashed Potatoes with Steak. This small location sure knows how to operate. read more

Chef B greeted us upon entry! I told her that we were from Savannah and that I found them online! She thanked us for coming by! She gave me a few of her favorites! I wanted something with oxtails but they were out. Mr. Severe came in and I asked him the same questions he also identified a few favorites. He told me about the Hot Honey Jerk Wings and Fried Shrimp. I asked what it came with and he advised me to read the kiosk I advised that the Hot Honey LP wings and shrimp were on the kiosk so I asked if there would be an option to update the wings flavor? Chef B advised me to put any changes in the comments. I ordered The Wing and Shrimp Combo. 3 Hot Honey Lemon pepper and 3 Honey Jerk with Fried Shrimp it came with Cajun Corn and I added seasoned veggies (Broccoli). All menu options are not on the kiosk. We were told it would be over 45 minutes due took everything being made to order. It's about 1 hour & 30 minutes. All 6 of my wings were Honey Jerk along with my Shrimp. When I inquired I was advised that the chef made an executive decision that the jerk style overall would be the best decision. A few of my wings were fried hard but overall it was fresh and flavorful. I would try something else! Two of my friends ordered the Teriyaki Salmon and Shrimp! My friend can't have rice or corn and Mr. Severe advised you just won't get rice. I don't believe that it's his intent but it was a bit abrasive for me being used to southern hospitality. My friend advised that she agreed that it's a cultural thing. Just very matter of fact but he accommodated most requests. It looked really One said the rice was undercooked and the other said the salmon was overcooked. My friend ordered broccoli and a extra Teriyaki sauce, she received neither. When she went back to inquire they advised they were out of broccoli but Chef B was very apologetic. Everyone liked the broccoli, Cajun Corn & the mixed punch!
