Honey Jerk Wings & Shrimp with Cajun Corn

Chef B greeted us upon entry! I told her that we were from Savannah and that I found them online! She thanked us for coming by! She gave me a few of her favorites! I wanted something with oxtails but they were out. Mr. Severe came in and I asked him the same questions he also identified a few favorites. He told me about the Hot Honey Jerk Wings and Fried Shrimp. I asked what it came with and he advised me to read the kiosk I advised that the Hot Honey LP wings and shrimp were on the kiosk so I asked if there would be an option to update the wings flavor? Chef B advised me to put any changes in the comments. I ordered The Wing and Shrimp Combo. 3 Hot Honey Lemon pepper and 3 Honey Jerk with Fried Shrimp it came with Cajun Corn and I added seasoned veggies (Broccoli). All menu options are not on the kiosk. We were told it would be over 45 minutes due took everything being made to order. It's about 1 hour & 30 minutes. All 6 of my wings were Honey Jerk along with my Shrimp. When I inquired I was advised that the chef made an executive decision that the jerk style overall would be the best decision. A few of my wings were fried hard but overall it was fresh and flavorful. I would try something else! Two of my friends ordered the Teriyaki Salmon and Shrimp! My friend can't have rice or corn and Mr. Severe advised you just won't get rice. I don't believe that it's his intent but it was a bit abrasive for me being used to southern hospitality. My friend advised that she agreed that it's a cultural thing. Just very matter of fact but he accommodated most requests. It looked really One said the rice was undercooked and the other said the salmon was overcooked. My friend ordered broccoli and a extra Teriyaki sauce, she received neither. When she went back to inquire they advised they were out of broccoli but Chef B was very apologetic. Everyone liked the broccoli, Cajun Corn & the mixed punch! My friend said the cornbread is good also! Go try Popbellys be prepared to wait, know that your meal is subject to change & if you're not early they may run out so get there!

Nice vibes great energy !! Brooklyn is in the low country! The bun choice No Bones !! And it held its shape thru out me eating !! IYKYK Homemade Drinks I'd suggest just mixing them to get a feel of both. I'd love to see them just place the sauce on the bun already cuz the half of the sandwich I ate without WAS A BIG DIFFERENCE!! and to maybe add a spicy option !!

    Mac garlic shrimp

The food is to die for, the service is great, I don't have much to complain about for this, it's that spot, Black-Owned Business making soul food. Anyways imma dig in Cheers.

We were surprised when we walked in and the bar was actually low, with low, spinny bar seats. But it actually was pretty unique and fun! Our server was excellent and gave us great recommendations. We started with the Stella's Kalamari that had sun-dried tomatoes, capers, and artichoke hearts. It was very flavorful and delicious. Something to keep in mind here is that the portions are pretty large. Perfect for splitting dishes and a lot of food for your buck. The stand out dish for me was the spanakopita. It's a flaky, crispy pastry with spinach and feta inside that you dip in tzatziki. What's not to love about all of that?? We splurged a bit on our entree and split the braised lamb shank. The lamb itself was pretty good, but what I enjoyed most was the pasta it comes with. I would maybe suggest trying a different entree. It wasn't my favorite, but it was good. For drinks I got the Cretan, which had cucumber infused gin, lime, rosemary and thyme. It was so refreshing and just what I wanted. I will definitely be coming back here and recommending it to others!

We started off with cocktails and ordered the octopus and mushroom saganaki to start. Both dishes were flavorful and tasty. I ordered the pikilia platter for my entree. Everything was good but the souvlaki was too heavy on the salt. My husband was going to get a steak. Our server, Katrina, told him that there was no steak special that evening but the chef had a pork chop taking its place as a nightly feature. He thought the description sounded good so he ordered it. He was very happy with his meal. When the bill came, he said "good thing I liked that pork chop. It was $50!" In the restaurants defense, he should have asked for the price before he ordered. We just never in our wildest dreams imagined a pork chop entree would come out to $50. Overall, we enjoyed our meal. It isn't really fair to compare this to the Richmond location. In all honesty, if this was my first Stella's meal and I had nothing to compare it to it would be an easy 5 stars. We will no doubt return but will ask how much the special is in the future.

Then we walk in the door and were immediately greeted by this sugar-sweet silky voice (ma'am, we are wondering do you sang, Miss K???). That friendly melodic voice coupled with the savory aroma of some unmistakenly good lowcountry cooking was all the welcome we needed. We knew we couldn't go wrong. We got the crab rice and they had yellow rice today so we subbed that, with a side of collards. We also ordered the smothered porkchop with cabbage corn and lima beans, plus cornbread. We smashed. Nuff said. Really though...best food and friendliest service we've had in the 3 days we've been here in Charleston. I felt like I was with family.

So we took an Uber there on our way to the airport, luggage and backpacks and all. The line was to the door. Most people get their food to go but there are a handful of tables in the dining room. We parked ourselves and our bags at one by the front wall and settled in for our fried porkchops and fried chicken, lima beans, cabbage, red rice, mac and cheese, and corn bread. And while we waited for our food, one of the kitchen staff walked around passing out free frozen punch. It was good! This was the perfect choice for our last meal in Charleston. We were in and out in 45 minutes, full and satisfied. The only thing is we are still confused about pricing. We think there was an error because somehow we paid $29 for one meal and $19 for the other. Can't be right...but we didn't have time to sort all that out. Pay it forward.

You order, they plate it, you pay and either take it to go or to sit in the small dining area. Service is very quick and efficient, and you can tell there are a lot of regulars who come here because the staff joked and laughed with them as they waited in line. Speaking of the line, it moved fast but while we were there a woman came around with a tray and offered little cups of brightly colored something. I chose red and was delighted to see it was a frozen punch, red is cherry. My friend got orange and he said it was like a mango or peach flavor. I ordered the fried chicken, with cabbage and red rice. The cabbage was absolute fire, it was so tender and delicious. The red rice was good, but a bit on the dry side. I feel like had I been there when a fresh pan was brought out it would have been a lot better. The fried chicken was perfectly cooked and had a flaky crust but it needed salt and the tables did not provide any. I would come back, there are so many other things I would love to try and this place is busy for a reason.

Although some dishes are seasonal, these happen to be entrees that are served year-round according to our server Both were quite delicious. The vegetarian plate had a wide variety of veggies -- from mashed potatoes, to wilted spinach, asparagus, green beans, and fried tomato's. There were only two medium pieces of fried tomato so I do wish they put more in the plate but oh well. My partner loved his bouillabaisse and apparently it's the southern rendition of a French dish that is one of their most popular dishes. It has lots of seafood in it. The meal also came with complimentary warm bread, which was nice. The pecan pie was very good, but the crust was kind of hard and there were fewer pecans than I'm used to and more caramel. The ambiance is more formal but people were dressed mostly casual (and chic if I might add). Dim lighting and if you don't want as much noise to carry I would ask for seating in the back because it's noticeably louder in the front.
