I've been to a few spots in this plaza (Outpost Coffee, Dragon Noodle House, Paper Pot), and recently my friend recommended Pop Pot! We went in the afternoon after work and there was no wait thankfully! By the time we finished our meals it was about dinner time & all the tables were full. Despite the tables being relatively close to each other I'm glad the table we were seated at had ample space We ordered the Taiwanese Spicy Pot (mild) and House Special Pot (no spicy). I loved the spicy pot (I just wish I was better with spice, as the mild felt a bit more like medium). Still delicious nonetheless! Pay close attention to the ingredients in each soup set just in case for allergies like seafood or if you don't prefer stinky tofu. If you've never had stinky tofu before this is a great place to try with their house dipping sauce. Otherwise you can request a substitution for regular tofu. (: This place is much closer to me and less crowded than BP, so if I'm craving hotpot I'll be sure to return!

Ambiance: Typical Taiwanese hot pot aesthetic with lots of TVs Service: With the limited amount of servers their service was exceptional Food: I really enjoyed their house special. I felt the soup base was well balanced. Not too salty, but flavorful. The toppings had a nice variety as well. I do wish there were more sauce options and that they had gave more topping serving. Overall a good experience.

Good food but pricey. Pumpkin pot was good but i'd prefer it with beef (extra) instead of pork (incuded). Stinky tofu was okay, house special pot was a bit too salty for my liking.

I love Pop Pot, the pumpkin hot pot is so filling, comforting and to die for! I do agree with the other helpers, the wait time did seem a little long, but in the end worth. Seating was very quick and the ambience of the restaurant was clean and nice. Perfect cold day meal for sure. The broth was very flavorful and the ingredients plentiful, im not a fan of tripe, and I wish they would of asked me what my other choice option would be instead of it. Or double up on the squash at least. Priced very reasonable to the portions and quality.

Was in a nostalgic mood craving stinky pot and was in the neighborhood. The flavor was good and authentic, while the portion was a bit smaller than expected. There's a choice of black or green tea for free during lunch time. Overall the pop pot hit the spot.

This place is the better hot pot restaurant in the plaza. After my experience at paper pot, this one is so much better. We even ordered a plate of stinky tofu and popcorn chicken as our appetizers. I shared the seafood hot pot with my younger one. No spice in ours but the broth was good and not too spicy. There were clams and shrimp in ours. Can't remember the other two hot pots we ordered but one had blood cake and chicken. Again, good broth that didn't feel too salty or made us sleepy. We did have to ask for a refill on water. My older child ordered a spicy pot. Worth checking out and there's so many types of hot pot, can go multiple times. The stinky tofu was good but never enough stink!

This is all the meat that it came with.

I ordered the pumpkin pot. The taste was okay. The amount of meat that it came with is a joke. It's about 3 slices of regular hot pot meat cut in half, so 6 tiny pieces. Most of it was napa cabbage, about 70% of it. The cabbage and pumpkin came uncooked. The fire wasn't enough to cook them. They refuel once and the pumpkin was still uncooked at the end. First picture is picture of the meat. Second picture is the veggies after I finished all meat and fish cakes.

We decided to try this place while i was in town visiting. We ordered their curry fish ball & satay beef hot pots along with their popcorn chicken and calamari rings. While everything came out quickly, and the hot pots tasted ok, I was not impressed by their popcorn chicken since they lacked flavor/seasoning. The calamari rings were clearly regular wholesale item that lacked flavor and was rubbery. I would go back to try other hot pots and other appetizers. It is nice that they are individual sized hot pots. The place is a small to medium size store front. Our server and staff were professional, attentive and friendly.

Came here with family who has come here multiple times and has loved this place for their hot pot fix for not too expensive. Most pots range from 18-25$, and are loaded with all the goodies you could ask for. When we came here around 5-6PM, the place was around 3/4 full and we did not need to wait too long. I was particularly intrigued by the popcorn chicken hot pot. I have never thought I would ever even consider this option, but after being convinced from the family as a fan favorite I had to try it. Overall, it was surprisingly good. The chicken mixed with the broth very well (although once too soggy it did become texturally a bit off) and I liked all the toppings with it. Although nothing too particularly stood out, everything meshed well together and it was a very filling meal. It was also very well appreciated that the staff comes around to check on the flames and helps you turn it off when it is boiling too much. Overall, a reasonable hot pot place with good portion and quality that is great for the fix.

Date of visit: 9/14/2024 One of our family fave places for hot pot. I did stop coming here for a while and only started frequenting this place again early this year because hubby missed hotpot late at night and only this place was still open. What we usually order here are: - mushroom pot - popcorn chicken pot - taiwanese mala pot - satay beef pot I rate this place better than the other taiwanese more famous/well known hotpot place.

Curry ball hot pot

I need to know if this is as good as hot spot when they were still around, that was my old go to place? And I just can't seem to find a place that replaced my old favorite place to go for a quick snack with great flavor?

I would say Pop Pot is very close to Hot Spot, a close second. I was a regular at Hot Spot, on Tuesdays when Hot Spot was closed, I would go to Smelly Pot (which is the owner of Pop Pot) to get my hotpot fix.

The beef tendon was especially soft and well-cooked. The pan-fried pork buns had a nice crispy bottom with juicy filling inside, and the soup dumplings were solid as always. Seaweed salad was a nice lighter side to balance everything out. Overall, super satisfying meal and consistently good quality. Definitely one of our go-to spots for noodles and dumplings.

Absolutely TERRIBLE experience. Do not waste your time or money here…read more The moment we walked into Fu's Restaurant, it felt like stepping into a sauna. It was 79 degrees inside, muggy, humid, and completely uncomfortable. We almost turned around and left immediately. The place was practically empty, which honestly should have been our first red flag. We decided to give them a chance anyway. Big mistake. My colleague and I were offered water or hot tea. We both ordered hot tea. The menu clearly says in English that hot tea is $2.99. Nowhere does it clearly explain in English that you will be charged differently depending on how many people drink it. When the bill came, we were charged $5 each. Apparently, there is some clarification written in Chinese, but how are customers who do not read Chinese supposed to know that? That is completely misleading. The tea portions were not larger, not special, nothing different. Just basic tea. The pricing felt deceptive. We also ordered popcorn chicken and chili wonton soup. Both came out in tiny portions that looked like appetizers, yet the menu does not clearly label them as such. For what we received, paying over $30 total felt ridiculous. The food itself was mediocre at best. Nothing memorable and definitely not worth the price. Because of the uncomfortable temperature, confusing pricing, small portions, and average food, we chose not to leave a tip. As we were walking out, the waiter chased us outside and pressured us about the zero tip. That is completely inappropriate. Tipping is not mandatory. It is earned. Confronting customers outside over a tip is unprofessional and embarrassing. Between the heat, the questionable menu pricing, the small portions, and being confronted outside, this was one of the worst dining experiences I have had in a long time. We will never be back. There are plenty of better places within the same plaza than to dine here. I don't expect this place to last long anyway.

I understand that prices have gone up everywhere, and I'm willing to pay more for good food. However, the final bill didn't match the prices listed on the menu, which was very confusing and frustrating. What made it worse was that the actual dishes looked completely different from the photos on the menu. If I had known that those four small pieces of meat would cost that much, I definitely would not have ordered them. The most upsetting part was that when we tried to ask both the server and the owner about the pricing issue, we were basically ignored. On top of that, we waited about 20 minutes just for takeout packaging, even though the restaurant was not busy at all. Honestly, this will probably be my last time coming here. I just hope the friends I previously recommended this place to won't end up blaming me for sending them there.
