This hot pot place features taiwanese smelly pot. The dipping sauce (both spicy and garlic) is very authentic. Owner is the same one as the former San Ma smelly pot in city of industry. In addition to the Taiwanese smelly pot, they also added quite a few Taiwanese stir fry dishes. We ordered taiwanese style stew na pa, cold cut cuttlefish with garlic sauce, Taiwanese satay beef, and stinky tofu. They are all very good and authentic. Also, this place was formerly OB square. The owner kept all the VIP rooms and installed new KTV machines. Time to get drunk & singing and eat some Taiwanese food!!!! read more

This place is garbage. We went in today and placed some orders. A couple of my friends wanted their fried pork chop plates, but we waited about 20 minutes before they came out to tell us they are out of that. My friends proceeded to order their chicken steak then but to no avail. So they started ordering their snack items like wings only to be told 10 minutes later they do not have that at all. No apology or anything. They simply blamed their delivery. I asked to speak to a manager and was promptly declined. I then just canceled my order of their hot pot and left the establishment. Why bother opening if half of your menu is out of stock. They were unwilling to give us a free plate of popcorn chicken or anything. Garbage place. The food was flavorful and the presentation was appetizing. Definitely a great place to go in the winter. Love that they open late as well. You can ask for extra soup if you're running low. They also have 3 rooms for private parties. I took a star away because of their extremely slow service & my pot's fire went out at the beginning. We got ice water and they never came back to check in on us afterwards. Their drinks are also hella expensive. ($5-7 dollars average) They've been open for about a month. I would highly encourage some dine-in discount with drinks when you order a hot pot. They have drinks for lunch special but that's about it. Also, super confused why it is listed as a sports bar. Putting up 4 tv screens to show sports game doesn't make it a sports bar. Perhaps they are hoping to turn it into a nightclub style after a certain hour. I went back to visit my parents the other day and decided to try out this hot pot place since a friend recommended it. Safe to say, it was one of the best decisions I've made! The staff was friendly and attentive and the food was amazing for the price! I ordered the Seafood Hot Pot and was surprised at how big the portions are. Especially the shrimp (ironic?). What's different about this place and other hot pot places around the area is that they serve alcohol; which greatly compliments the hot pot. The only thing they can improve on is the cups for the beer: they're extremely tiny and I had to constantly refill it. Other then that, I would go back for more! read more

For the longest time I actually avoided this place due to the low rated reviews on Yelp, but finally thought I really had to know of my own accord if it's really as bad as every says. We came here for dinner last night and honestly had a great experience. Their decor was very clean and trendy. I didn't know they also offered private rooms that had games and karaoke (the restaurant can actually get pretty rowdy from the loud music and sometimes drunk patrons). They have plenty of options on their menu, although just unfortunate that their lamb meat option was in a soup that I didn't quite like and every other pot was of pork meat. You can swap to beef meat for $1.00 extra. I ended up going with their House Special "Stinky Pot" (stinky tofu) 臭臭鍋. I'm a pretty avid Boiling Point goer and I have to say, Pop Pot definitely had more food. Their portion felt almost double that of Boiling Point's. There was three VERY large pieces of stinky tofu, a good amount of pork slices, and a bunch of other ingredients like intestine, quail egg, tempura, kamaboko, etc. I almost couldn't finish my food! The flavors were good, it wasn't too salty or anything and loved the variety of ingredients used. The boyfriend also quite enjoyed his Satay Beef pot too. There was also plenty of workers around that we were always able to get somebody's attention. They also always checked up on us making sure our soups were filled and such. First time trying Taiwanese food and I have to say it was delicious! The chicken appetizers were soft and crispy! We also ordered the number 10 spicy and that tasted great. We also ordered kubota sake and beer with our food and it was perfect to end a Friday night. I noticed people having a ball in the karaoke rooms and that was fun to watch. Their hotpot is not bad, but it's no better than boiling point in my opinion. However, their drink is the worst. I hope other people won't experience the same as I have, so I write this report. I order 25% sweet of milk tea, but it came out super sweet. Moreover, my friend orders milk tea with NO sugar, but the milk tea we got is also very sweet. Despite of their sugar level, their milk tea tastes really bad. I will suggest not to order their milk tea ever, but their hotpot is still okay! Another thing I like is their spicy tofu. A great substitute for boiling point. Love the option for thousand years egg. The level of spicy is somehow less than the Taiwanese pot at boiling point but the taste is the same for non-spicy people. They also have fried stinky tofu which I love so much.
