Bought FIVE gallon liquid Shock and it must of been filled with half water didn't help had to go buy bags of shock to clear my pool up

Scheduled service to have a pool cleaned. Was told the initial clean was $199. Service person showed up. He was probably one of the rudest people I have encountered. Told me that he sits across from who I spoke to and that I heard wrong. Service was $199 for one hour and $125 after that. I did not hear wrong. He was so snarky. He basically said it would be too much work to clean. I sent them away. Immediate bad experience and feeling. I would not use this company. read more

Don't waste your time. I contacted them twice by phone and once by email and it took 3 weeks for Jimmy to get back to me. I asked him to please email me his proposal and it has been well over a week and I have not heard a word. Not a good way to make a first impression. Just shows me that their customer service must be awful. I am moving on to someone who wants my business. read more

I was trying to give this company my business and get a pool put in. Last August the whole nonsense started. I had emailed the company to get more info and after I had sent 2 or 3 emails I asked about having someone come look at my property to get a better idea of options. They then stopped all communication with me. I tried again recently and got someone to call me. They set an appointment and then never showed. Now I can't get in touch with this person either not worth your time or effort. Look elsewhere. read more

Glad to have been referred here after some rather poor experiences with some of the other TR/Brick area pool companies. Nick and Jimmy are terrific and were of great assistance with refurbishing a pool that the previous owners very poorly designed and maintained. Very knowledgeable service professionals and highly recommended. read more

I refuse to patronize Poolside Pools & Spas any longer. They're a little expensive, and the convenience of their location would be enough to overcome that if the staff weren't so arrogant and seemingly deliberately unhelpful. If I have to throw money into a water-filled hole in the ground, I'm going to do it with people who at least pretend to want my business. Bye, Poolside. They attempted to steal my deposit money without doing the work. I had to threaten to have them thrown in jail to get my money back, and I would have been well within my rights. With the list of charges adding up I should have just called the police. I did see many bad reviews about them from many people but I do not know what happened to the bad reviews. I do know that some sites will allow people to delete bad reviews and I know there are many people extremely unhappy with them. I do not know how they stay in business. read more

I researched a bunch of pool companies and this company provides excellent service. My experience with Pool Designs by Poolside went well beyond my expectations. When I called, Teri set up my appointment. She was very pleasant and friendly. Jim came out to open and inspect my pool. He was very informative and communicative during the whole process. This has to be THE worst pool place for customer service EVER! We had 2 appointments with them and both were a no show..left numerous messages and they never even had the decency to call us back! Finally when they did come they were supposed to fix the light in my pool..( besides cleaning and putting chemicals in so the pool is ready to go which they never did my husband wound up doing it all) tech comes and says he can't fix it they need the electrician that installed it..next day my husband goes to look at it and it was just a loose bulb!! Really? These are the people they have working for them? I would think that is the first thing you would try..they took my husbands kindness and patience for weakness..would never recommend them to anyone..save your money and go to any place but Poolside! read more

Not even worthy of one star. Worst customer service and worst business model. Took off two Fridays in a row for a new filter, and they never called, never showed up. After the first screw up they didn't even put me on the schedule, but said they did. I stopped in the day before they were supposed to come, and they got an attitude with me and told me I was on the schedule. Guess what . . . no show again, and no call. Possibly the worst customer service I have encountered. Buyer beware: They are great when they are taking your money, but good luck getting them back to fix the things that they broke. I now have a giant swamp in my backyard. read more

just a note to express how pleased we are with Nick and Jimmy at Poolside. We have two homes in town each with a pool. When we needed a new liner they were very competitive and helpful. We appreciate the professionalism from the staff. Our new liner looks great. Installed on time and with no additional surprises. We will continue to use and refer this company to everyone.
