I just bought a house with a pool that needed a liner replacement because the pool hadn't been used or maintained in a long time. We called Pool World and they were extremely professional and promptly came out for an estimate. The price was reasonable and I felt like I could trust them. They did not try to upsell us on things we didn't need and were committed to helping us get our pool up and running. I like that they are a small local business and you feel welcomed when you stop by their location. Within two weeks, the liner arrived and they scheduled the install. As it turns out, our pool had an unexpected issue that was not Pool World's fault and they went above and beyond to help us fix it. I was so impressed by their willingness to support us and turn over every stone to identify and correct the issue. They gave us excellent support and far exceeded my expectations. Dave the Service Manager and the team were great and I'm so happy to have worked with them. We will continue to use Pool World and highly recommend them .

Based on that painful experience I won't ever engage their services for even cleaning the pool. We have moved on and won't reconsider them any further. They burnt out our brand new pump, claim parts and pieces were broken for our new handle piece that we have no access to and did not tighten the pipes properly. Overly priced and inefficient. We actually spent more money opening the pool through them than we would have hiring them for the season to clean the pool and I had no choice but to hire another pool company to check their work because this was such an uncharted process and I didn't trust them after all was said and done. They had no problems with running my credit card and even charging a late fee for payment although we wanted to ensure their work was proper from the next company hired, a delay of two weeks payment which is crazy since they delayed our pool opening by at least a month with their mistakes. Stay far away.

One of the worst mistakes I've ever made was going with "Add on Pools" to do our in ground pool…read moreinstall. They quoted us a price that was literally doubled by the end. The day they showed up for the install, they told me they measured wrong and now the pool would need to be put in horizontally instead of vertically or else when it rained water would go into our home. I had to make a decision on the spot, with the pool waiting to be installed out in the street. I should have said to take it away in retrospect but after waiting months for the pool I just wanted to get it done. Once the pool was finally installed it looked great, but by next year all of the cement around the pool began changing color to a stained yellow. When I asked them to come take a look, a few of them came by individually and just stood their staring at the messed up cement dumbfounded. I got tired of them doing nothing and they became argumentative and I just gave up on them. I've waited over five years to post this review and I'm still so annoyed with them and our cement still looks terrible. They'll try to say the cement wasn't their fault but they are the ones who contracted this cement person and they never bothered to even attempt to resolve the issue. We were new to the neighborhood and they seemed like the place to go for local pool business but I warn everyone now stay away.

Our filter was serviced - exterior of filter is now leaking (Service call 1) Above ground pool line was leaking a couple days after the internal filter replacement. (Service call 2, chalked it up to coincidence) I patched temporarily with epoxy putty until their technician could service this past Tuesday. Technician repaired the line while we were away on vacation. Returned from vacation to an algae bloom in our pool - looks like the valve from the chlorinator was off I opened the closed valve and water began to gush out of the bottom of our Hayward CL200 chlorinator. (This is not a coincidence as this issue did not exist before the prior repairs. This was clearly damaged during the last service.) Repaired water line was also installed on top of the electrical line leading to our heater. Not ideal. Still waiting for a return call a day later after emailing and calling. Still no reply and pool is not functioning.
