Do not use this service as they are liars and scammers. Upon referral from people I know, I used this service. My pool was green for 2 out of 3 1/2 months. And I had it clear and back to green. I finally began taking a sample down to Leslie's for the last month. It was green for 30 days straight after pool Chlor came 3 times in that month because I called and told them it was green. The last two weeks, they didn't even bother to come again. I asked Rich specifically if they put no phos and soda ash. He said yes. I took the sample to leslies 3 weeks in a row. No change in chemicals at all and the numbers were off the charts. Actually off the charts. Number should have been under 100 and it was 4200. It wouldn't even print over 4000. When I called to cancel she didn't even ask why. They were just collecting the money and adding no chemicals. When I went to buy the chemical I needed it was $88 retail. They don't add anything but liquid chlorine and nothing else even if your pool needs it. I asked her if my pool should take 30 days to clear and she said no. They kept saying it was my filters. I cleaned my filters and had it back to clear. They didn't put any chemicals in and filters went green again. But I had it crystal blue again. So my filters were clean. I even cleaned my filters again to prove it. They were not putting chemicals at all except chlorine and not checking or balancing anything else. read more

I would not recommend this company. They came once every 2 weeks, never put any acid in my pool, just threw in some chlorine tabs. I would call the office & tell them that their guy never puts in acid, and my Ph was way off balance. She said OK, I will have a tech come by to do that, which they did. I've been using Pool Chlor for over 15 years for just my chemicals. They are always on time and very professional to deal with. They always return my calls promptly and I've never had any problems with their service. The come twice a week and my pool water is always very clean & algae free. They have 2 people who allegedly service our pool: one for chemicals and one for cleaning. I find it odd that I have to all them to find out when they plan on coming and yet, they no showed this week. Yes, it was windy this week, so of course there's a little extra debris. I would also expect them to want to service it because of the extra dirt that's accumulated as a result. Their invoice always manages to be on time if not early. I should charge them for the inconvenience of paying them so that I have to clean it myself anyway. read more

Unresponsive...When they can't clean a filter for 4 weeks that's a problem. Especially, when they tell you it's a maybe week after week. He was simply too busy to fit me in. Not customer service. In all fairness, Brett (chemical person) was fine with adding chemicals but kept me guessing on what type of schedule he had me on. It was a newly re-surfaced pool and I started getting calcium ring build-up within 2- weeks after I had had the tiles and rocks bead-blasted. Too many people are involved in doing very simple pool services. I don't like leaving my gates open guessing when and who is going to show up. I quit after a couple of weeks. read more

BEWARE!!!! This IS NOT a good company. They simply DO NOT listen to their customers wishes. I work graveyard and after THREE MONTHS of service and requesting NOT to be called upon arrival they call EVERY TIME. It's ridiculous. Then I found out that they DO NOT check the chemistry before adding chemicals. When the people that re-plastered my pool came over and checked the levels, they were THROUGH THE ROOF DANGEROUS!!! Oh, I had to beg them not to come TWICE a week; once for chemicals and once for cleaning. Do you believe that they actually have separate people for chemicals and cleaning? Now about the service. Your pool should be the cleanest right after Pool Chlor leave, right? WRONG!!! They're lazy and do not skim the pool and they leave dirt and debris on the bottom. A child would do a better job. Maybe the worst thing is that when you call and get Rich, Heather or Clayton they are always sympathetic to your requests. They always say yes to them, however their actions are completely the opposite from what you requested. They make you feel like you're the fool. My advice. You're in Las Vegas. Not bad at all! I use them for the chemical service. If you don't want to mess with any of the chemicals, but don't mind using a leaf skimmer and brush once in a while, these guys are for you. My old pool guy used to charge $100/mo for pretty much the same thing. They will put chlorine tablets in your floater or do whatever it needs to maintain the proper chemical balance. Buyer Beware!!! They don't check your chemical levels before dumping chemicals in. I have used them for about three years and my pool was never quite right-always blamed it on my well water. After my skin on my legs turned red two weeks ago (glad I didn't just jump in) I checked and my chlorine is dangerously high!! Excellent option for those willing to do the skimming and brushing yourself which isn't bad. Once a week to do those things is not enough because you will get debris everyday. As for the chemicals they are great at testing and treating if you have issues but won't do anything unless needed. Best economical solution for people with pools. They also don't have a problem answering questions for those who want to learn about maintaining their pools on their own. read more

I had these guys service my Mother's pool for about 2 years. The last year I lived there and continued using the service. Not once did I ever see them check the chemical levels in the pool. All he ever did was put chlorine tabs in the chlorinator. Then I got mustard algae big time in the pool. I found that strange since they serviced the pool every two weeks. But like I said, I never once saw them check the chemical levels. He would come and go so fast, I had to look out for him to be able to catch him and talk about the pool. Their solution for the mustard algae was to pour 12 gallons of chlorine in the pool, and that was the owner who came out. He never checked chemical levels either, he just poured in all that chlorine.I then had the pool guy change out the filters, which he did as a side job. He charged me 315.00 to do that. I cancelled the service after that and decided to take care of it on my own. The chemical levels were so off that they didn't even register. (Muriatic acid and soda ash for low pH) But chlorine level was off the charts. I researched online about pool chemicals, and now test the chemicals every two weeks. (Like I thought they were doing...Not ! ) Forty bucks a month to put chlorine tabs in the chlorinator is a joke. If you currently have them servicing your pool, ask them what the chlorine, bromine, acid, and alkaline levels are in your pool. If they don't know, or make guesses, you'll realize their not doing the job their suppose to do. Having a chemical imbalance in your pool, is not good for swimmers at all. Don't assume. Better yet get a test kit and check your pool chemical levels yourself. If there right, then their doing their job, If not....sayonara. read more

I have used PoolChlor for the past 6 years. During that time the monthly fee has only gone up $2. (Definitely a bargain, considering that most "full service" pool services charge way more). I have an "in-floor" system with pop-up heads, so keeping my pool free of debris was never that big of an issue for me. It was frustrating to pay a service to come out and do what my pool equipment was already doing. If you are in my situation, then this is the perfect company for you. They come like clockwork every week, and then every other week during the colder months. During either season, if I have had any issues, they are usually out within 48 hours to address the issue. I struggled with mustard algae in my pool for a bit, and the techs made extra trips to my property (for not additional charge) until it was resolved. Every couple of months I schedule a filter cleaning on the side. With that system in place, my pool is clean and tidy all year round, with a yearly cost that is waaay less than the full service businesses. read more

I signed up for their chemical only special for two months, I was under the impression that it was weekly, only to find out it was bi-weekly. For the price, the bi-weekly wasn't that big of a deal. I was also under the impression they would check the chemicals and adjust them accordingly, but all they do is throw shock in your pool. Service was great for the first two years of service. This past year has been a disappointment and led me to discontinue service. During the past year, my pool grew algae and on 4 occasions the service technician failed to show up on my scheduled service days. Contact with Pool Cholor only led them to tell me they were either short staffed or weather conditions prevented them from showing up. When asked why a simple courtesy call wasn't provided, I was told it was because they "can't always call everybody". I would have cut them some slack however, they've never provided a courtesy the prior 3 occasions as well.
