    Several frozen cocktails available

I'm so sad that our Ponysaurus in Raleigh isn't like this place. It's a really cool spot! The exterior is a house so it's got a unique vibe to begin with. The interior is fun and reminds me of a moody old diner - think Nighthawks. The beer selection is great and they also have some great frozen cocktail selections too. I'm a huge sucker for frozen cocktails, especially when it's hot out, so I was very pleased. My friend and I ordered several piña coladas, delicious and refreshing! I was also super impressed with their outdoor seating area. There was lots of shade and a great selection of spots to sit at. The landscaping they had in that area was also nice and really added to the ambiance. It's a really great spot to check out on a nice day! Also all the staff we encountered were super nice and very attentive. All around great experience. I'll definitely be back again!

My friends and I went here not long after they opened on a Saturday. It was surprisingly empty. There's plenty of seating outside and downstairs, plus an upstairs area when it's open. You can order from a QR code at the table, and they just started offering in person service, which we prefer. The waitress was nice and good about checking in. My Italian sandwich was good, a little messy. Curly fries were honestly the best part! I ordered a beer flight. To be honest, I've always found Ponysaurus' beer a little average. Unfortunately, my friend found a hair in burger when it came. Yuck! They took it away and offered to remake it (she declined given the amount of other food we had), but I'd have thought a manager would've comped an appetizer.

There are so many breweries to choose from in the area but the name alone pulled me in Luckily, the beers were fantastic! In a world were the selection at many breweries, in my opinion, has run to too many hazy IPA's, Ponysaurus has an amazing selection. I got the flight of four and honestly couldn't pick a favorite.

Ponysaurus Brewing is a Pizzeria and Beer Garden located in downtown Wilmington. It's a great spot offering 24 taps featuring their craft beers, a full bar, and a diverse menu that includes pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, and brunch options on weekends. The venue is pet-friendly, has outdoor seating in the front and back of the venue. The outdoor seating in the back is very spacious and has a beautiful outdoor fireplace. We visited just as they were finishing up the holiday decorating, it was super fun and festive. I will say the set up is a little funky in that the bar and food are completely separate as far as paying. You order your drinks, pay for them or keep an open tab and then have to use the QR code to view the menu / pay for your food. They have a $5 flatbread special on Thursdays which is a great deal! I got the blistered tomato and pesto flatbread, it was super flavorful and enough to leave you full. They have additional locations in Raleigh and Durham that I can't wait to check out!

Monday night review do not heed! They have trivia, wasn't feeling it. Wanted to drink and chat. Plenty to drink nobody to chat. Looks like it is a good spot though. 1) Nice beer garden and dog friendly. 2) Big ass bar with lots of room. 3) I got a $12/4 beer taster and all were 4/5 stars.

Folks, I left a review previously for this place. I really need to reiterate this sentiment. I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. Great beer (and other beverages), great food, amazing vibe. Streamlined happy service! Post pandemic era, stay well-fed, well-treated AND clean with #QRCode #Untappd #pizzalover

I really like this place and struggled between 4 and 5 stars. Here is the breakdown for this place. Drinks - 5 Stars Known for their beers on tap. Also have a full bar with cocktails and even about a half dozen frozen adult slushies. Very large bar area with plenty of seating. You have to order drinks at the bar, even if you are seated elsewhere. Food - 4 1/2 Stars Pizzas are the primary item showcased on the menu. Several specialty pizzas on the menu. Build your own as well. We did order a pizza and it was pretty damn good. All pizzas are 14" and to they appear to me to be Neapolitan style. Other food items to select from as well, including wings, sandwiches, salads, and bar type snacks. Ambiance & Location - 4 Stars Location is in downtown, just a block and a half from Front Street. Parking is street or deck, no private parking. Large outdoor area in the front. Seating inside has a large bar area and booths. First level and upstairs seating available. Very nicely decorated. Kid friendly, to a degree. They have signs posted to keep your kids under control. Dog friendly outside. Boomer Alert I say this with all due respect, but I would not recommend this place to my boomer mother. She would flip out. Why? - All drinks must be ordered at the bar, including non-alchohic drinks. Water is the only exception. - There are no menus. You scan the QR code at the bar stool or the booth to not only see the food menu, but to also order the food. You pay for the food in advance using the app. Someone then brings the food out when it is ready. I don't have an issue with this. To me ordering and paying in the app is very efficient. - You are expected to bus your own table. They even have specific bins to place glassware, plates and utensils. My only minor issue with Ponysaurus is having to go to the bar for a Coke. I get having to go to the bar for beer, but why not have a fountain station for Cokes and tea? Just my 2 cents.

Brewery in downtown Wilmington. Super cute location go to the bar to order your drinks and there's a QR code to scan for food, food is delivered right to your table. It's Easy!! Food was delicious! Liked our beer flight, they have a choose 4 or 5 option. Waitstaff and everyone we came across was super friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the white pizza's crust was kinda of soggy. I'm not sure if it's because the liquid in the ricotta or what just wanted to give you feedback! Great business model & I'll be back!

Yum!! Nice casual place to grab pizza/beer/wine and sit outside. You order drinks at the bar and bring them with you to your table, then order food online and someone brings it out to you. We both got a glass of Cab which was fine, I'm sure beer is more up their alley. The Margherita pizza was good, but the Chai Spice Zeppole was by far my favorite part of the meal! It's basically just little dough bites coated in chai/sugar topping with a delicious lemon dipping sauce. Would highly recommend!

Great pizza, but the staff looks down their noses at anyone over fifty. If they're in a good mood, maybe you'll get a nod.

The bars stools are backless and not suitable for big bottom girls, lol. If they have gotten a handle on the lighting in the booths downstairs, the food and atmosphere are great. I'm not sure what the lighting is like upstairs. Sitting outdoors with… Read more

We take a look at the menu and notice that the pricing even for being downtown was very fair and somewhat surprisingly cheap. Especially once the food came out, they could be charging 50% more and I'd still be happy. The mac & cheese is something I've never tasted before very different but comfortable at the same time I believe three different cheeses are in it. I don't really like waffles or pancakes, but my girlfriend told me to try the potato pancakes and they blew my mind with the chive, sour cream and applesauce sides.. Now we could've just ordered from the appetizer menu since everything seemed perfect from there, but the Brussel sprout appetizer was by far my favorite with poppyseed vinaigrette. We had plenty to take home, and I finished it off the next day still amazed at how well it was put together. I got the chicken schnitzel for my main and it is perfectly prepared and cooked. The breading was fantastic crunchy in every delicious way I even use the applesauce as a dip along with the mushroom sauce that it came with my girlfriend got the Rachel sandwich and she loved her choice as well. Overall, everything we ate from the appetizer menu to main course menu to even the french fries and dipping sauces was phenomenal and again I cannot stress it is enough. The price is unbelievable for this quality of food.

Unfortunately, the service was very poor. The woman helping us was rude and seemed irritated the entire time we were there. We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable, which really took away from the visit. It was disappointing because the food was so good. With better service, this place could easily deserve a much higher rating.

If you're reading this and asking yourself what is the region's native icon, the Venus Flytrap - we have catching up to do. Read history below the review. The mood was easygoing. Two staff members, juggling orders with grace, kept the taps moving and the vibe relaxed. We had the Oatmeal Porter (dark, smooth, layered with chocolate, roasted malt, and caramel) And the Brook's Mulberry Lemonade (a blend of house-made lemonade and beer, fermented with mulberries hand-picked from Brook's garden). Both were super delicious. Flytrap Brewing sits tucked in a quiet Wilmington neighborhood, and it feels like it belongs there. The thoughtful drinks, easy crowd, and unpretentious energy, we will for sure be back! I don't know if Flytrap has a new brewer or what has happened to their beer or choices in beer styles but for quite some time now I have not found a beer from them worth stopping in for. It's extremely disappointing because they used to have some of the best beer in town but not anymore.

We started walking around and my wonderful wife suggested Copper Penny. Absolutely! There was a short wait for a table, but we didn't mind. The inside is almost like we remember it. Sharing feedback for others that it is on the sweeter side- which you may love). Buffalo chicken sandwich, sauce on side with fries. Enjoyed, typical but large sandwich. Chicken pita, enjoyed- fries on side. Philly cheesesteak with Caesar salad side- really liked. Owner is from Philly, which made a difference. Grilled chicken with side Cobb salad- lots of cheese and mushrooms and onions. Super delicious bread- soft with some flake since still crunch and not soggy. Salad was fresh and delicious. Pork sandwich- my husband liked, it was good but I didn't love the meat flavor. Concepts with having spinach and such was great. Manager/owner(?) came by to each table too. Definitely worth a trip to explore- fresh ingredients. Next time the wings...
