Neat place, lotta brick, wooden floors, nice seating areas. We sat at the bar, very attentive staff, happy, all of them. Good selection of choices on menu and beer as well. Food was great and ample servings. Sausage plate and bratwurst was excellent as were the two sauces.
While walking around downtown, I decided to stop in a German restaurant as they offered outdoor seating. There was an indoor section as well if you preferred that. The waitstaff were extremely friendly and ensured I was taken care of throughout my time in the restaurant. My waitress was knowledgeable in the beer selection and able to help me decided on what beers to do in my flight. Since I was at a German restaurant, I went with the traditional bratwurst and I was not disappointed! It was flavorful and delicious. The only complaint I have is that the fries were too greasy for my liking. Sitting outside on a beautiful day was a highlight of the meal. Although the football game was on and different tables were talking, it was still overall quiet. Definitely recommend if you're in the Wilmington area!
This is now a favorite of ours when in town. Affordable. Drinks are great. Prices are decent. Food was excellent. Service was top notch. The place can be a bit loud, but it manageable. They had a band playing out back. We chose to sit inside. I would recommend. The fish and chips was excellent. The pretzel's with the mustard they serve was addictive. They should sell the mustard in a jar. Not sure how they made it so good. We would return the next time we're in town.
Excellent restaurant all around! Our server was wonderful, the decor and ambiance was beautiful, and the food was good, traditional German menu items. The staff was attentive, helpful, and courteous. Great for lunch or dinner with friends! Located in Downtown Wilmington, it has lots of seating (both indoor and outdoor). Sanitation rating of 99.5!
Interesting little bar and restaurant. Tries to give German local bar. Schnitzel Patty Melt with pork chop was very interesting, it needed more mustard. Wasn't a fan of German potato salad. Service was ok. Looks like a great social spot with seating in outcove.
Authentic German fare! We truly enjoyed our short stop at Prost. We sat inside at a large wooden table. Our server was friendly and prompt. We enjoyed beers for the table, and I enjoyed a flight- trying out several German beers. They have a good variety and solid prices. The best part was the German food. We ordered potato pancakes with traditional sour cream and applesauce. And we loved the spin on traditional spatzle with the Mac and cheese! So yummy and the noodles were just perfect. Overall, this is a wonderful biergarten everyone should try while in Wilmington!
Ooooo man! Went to a burger joint down the road and was turned away because we had our dogs (we get it). So wandered around the corner and into Prost backyard. They let our dogs hangout and soon more people with dogs showed up. Everyone struck up chatting and it felt like a true bier hall! When I tell you I love German food I can't stress that enough! I was able to have a beer, bratwurst, knackwurst, cabbage and sauerkraut! All were awesome! The staff were attentive and brought drinks for everyone quickly. Love this place! Check it out!
First time, having authentic German cuisine and this place did not let me down. First the service when you walk in is very accommodating we got our table switched over before we even sat with no issues. We take a look at the menu and notice that the pricing even for being downtown was very fair and somewhat surprisingly cheap. Especially once the food came out, they could be charging 50% more and I'd still be happy. The mac & cheese is something I've never tasted before very different but comfortable at the same time I believe three different cheeses are in it. I don't really like waffles or pancakes, but my girlfriend told me to try the potato pancakes and they blew my mind with the chive, sour cream and applesauce sides.. Now we could've just ordered from the appetizer menu since everything seemed perfect from there, but the Brussel sprout appetizer was by far my favorite with poppyseed vinaigrette. We had plenty to take home, and I finished it off the next day still amazed at how well it was put together. I got the chicken schnitzel for my main and it is perfectly prepared and cooked. The breading was fantastic crunchy in every delicious way I even use the applesauce as a dip along with the mushroom sauce that it came with my girlfriend got the Rachel sandwich and she loved her choice as well. Overall, everything we ate from the appetizer menu to main course menu to even the french fries and dipping sauces was phenomenal and again I cannot stress it is enough. The price is unbelievable for this quality of food.
Amazing experience. Was seated immediately and got drinks! Downed the hugo and sangria (sangria was my personal fav, amazing)! Did the happy hour specials of two solo pretzels with cheese sauce. This pretzels were the best i've ever eaten. Fresh and homemade amazing give me 20. Paired that with the shared mac and cheese, never had mac like that but wow. amazing
Beautiful restaurant. Love the lights and plants and the outdoor seating area out back. The servers are very knowledgeable and kind. I went with family and didn't expect anything but a salad since I'm vegan, but I was so excited to be able to also get a beyond bratwurst. My family enjoyed their food and I was so happy to have a vegan option!

The food at Prost Biergarten was delicious. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The atmosphere was also very nice and made us excited for the experience. Unfortunately, the service was very poor. The woman helping us was rude and seemed irritated the entire time we were there. We felt unwelcome and uncomfortable, which really took away from the visit. It was disappointing because the food was so good. With better service, this place could easily deserve a much higher rating. read more

Went to check out this cute biergarten and absolutely loved it! The food was 10/10, and the ambiance and service were just as amazing. As someone from Austria, it was so nice to find a little taste of home here in Wilmington! The food was surprisingly authentic and brought back some familiar flavors. Would definitely recommend stopping by if you're craving some good Austrian/German food and a fun atmosphere! Prost! read more

We haven't been in a while, and now they have a new beer garden! We were having so much fun, we decided to stay and eat dinner. There were 5 of us and we ordered only from the app menu and it was plenty and all delicious!! Also, we've never been served drinks so quickly!! We ordered two cocktails and three beers and got them almost immediately. Love the feel of the place. read more
We were visiting Wilmington for the weekend and decided to check this place out because of the reviews and I'm glad we did! The fries were perfectly seasoned and had the perfect amount of crispiness. The inside is really cool - there's a ton of seating and it's really open. I had the kielbasa that came with a cheese sauce and it was so good. The only thing that fell a little flat was the service. Our waiter was really friendly and helpful at first but unfortunately we were left hanging for a while. We wanted extra sauce and we couldn't get it because our server never came back and someone else had to get us the check. Either way, I enjoyed the food and the vibe so I'd still recommend! read more
This place is delicious and awesome! Situated close to our hotel in Wilmington, Prost has both an outdoor area in the back and an indoor section off the street. We hung out at the bar and loved it. The bartender was awesome and attentive. He convinced me to drink more simply through the power of listening to my preferences and making good suggestions! Ha. They have the best and most uniquely German sangria that I've ever tasted, and we took a picture of the ingredients to try to replicate at home. My husband also really liked his local draft beer and drank several before we set off on an evening walk. We were planning to order a full dinner, but the appetizer we got (3 sausages sampler) was ample and filled us up. So delicious with sauerkraut and Brussels sprout slaw plus mustard and curry ketchup. Try it! We had ambitions to try more (and the reviews call out so much as delicious!), but we we quickly filled up and couldn't eat more. Pity because all the dishes around us looked amazing. This place is great! read more

What a fun modern take on a German Biergarten. Service was great, vibes were on point and the food was fantastic...oh and the beer selection was robust! The potato pancakes were probably the best I have ever had. Super fun place to come with friends or a date. Tip: in colder months make sure you have a reservation or you will sit outside. It is beautiful outside, just cold. read more
Really awesome beautiful restaurant.Perfect for a great date night. Food was good and the vibe was relaxed. I had the pork fried schnitzel and my friends had the schnitzel ruben and both hit the mark. If you like something different with a new modern day vibe try PROST. You won't be disappointed. read more
This place gets BUSY and for a good reason, the service is great, and the food is full of FLAVOR. We enjoyed the romantic fireside seating on the patio and can't wait to try the whole menu. Only good things to say about this place, and make a reservation. read more

We had a wonderful meal here for Mother's Day today! The garden area is really beautiful and the restaurant part was, too! We sat at a table right near the window so we could people watch. The decor and lighting were elegant and romantic. We started with the pretzels. The mustard that came with it has the perfect kick of spice and the beer cheese was really good. Pretzels almost tasted like croissants. I had the Rachel sandwich was delicious! I also had the cucumber salad which had a good flavor. My dad had the Reuben and for me- I think it was one of the best ones that I ever had. The German potato salad was awesome! My mom has a salad and it was huge! Service was great and pricing wasn't bad either. I really enjoyed it here. If you are looking for healthy, ghee may be only like one thing on the menu that you could get- otherwise this is a "heavy" food place. read more
Excellent service from Alex at the outside patio bar. Drinks were absolutely delicious and food was fresh and flavorful. The only reason I can't give this place 5 stars was because when we initially walked into the indoor bar, we got hit in the face with a sewage smell and even while sitting on the back patio we would get whiffs of the smell. Pretty unpleasant. Not sure what was going on there but recommend sitting on the patio, because it's got pretty decor and great service. read more

Prost is a nice place to go for a unique birthday gathering with friends. The menu options are mostly meat although the staff is good about making recommendations. Good first time experience on a Saturday night read more

Great experience here on their patio for happy hour. The staff were so friendly and checked in regularly. We got a few beers and shared the food. Loved the happy hour deals so we tried both the brat and kielbasa sandwiches, the nachos and mac n cheese spatzle. Also, got the firecracker shrimp. It was all delicious and had the German style with sauerkraut and mustard. We will definitely be back. read more

My husband and I were finally able to stop by Prost for a drink. We had tried to get in when they first opened and it was impossible with the wait out the door. Now we were able to walk in the outdoor patio/Biergarten area and seat ourselves at the bar. I had a peach based drink & my husband a blackberry based drink. Both were DELICIOUS. The peach drink was probably one of my favorite drinks I've had out in a long time. Super refreshing & the perfect summer drink! The prices of the drinks are super affordable, as well as the food! After looking at the food menu we considered cancelling our reservations at another restaurant. Definitely will be back to try their food! read more
A solid four and a half stars. Prost Biergarten is one of the newest additions to the downtown dining scene and they are coming in strong. I grew up in a German household and was really impressed by the menu offering. For me at least they'd get five stars if they did a few more "traditional" German dishes but what we had was solid. I was impressed with their beer list. They had a robust selection of local brews and more traditional European style beers which was really great. For food, we had the potato pancakes with chive sour cream and homemade applesauce. These were great! Definitely tasted homemade. We also had the spatzle which was really good as well. For dinner my husband and I had the pork schnitzel. The cabbage was delicious, as was the pork. The pork was crispy and flavorful and not at all dry. We also had it Jager style which added a nice touch. The highlight for sure was the apple cake. This was a huge slice of flaky pie crust with warm apple slices. It was amazingly good and was served with vanilla ice cream. Loved the decor and didn't have a chance to go out back into the beer garden but will definitely be back! read more
