Really enjoyed our visit and the food was really great. Had the sampler dish and liked it so much that we ordered more things to take home.

Phenomenal service. Family oriented. And it's a sweet hole in the wall in this food center area that has other down home meals

This is a quiet restaurant with plenty of quality desserts. The German food was excellent. I especially liked the goulash pasta. The portions were not too heavy, and our server was friendly. This restaurant has a casual feel and it is good for families. There is a high chair and a changing station in the women's restroom.

Went here tonight with some friends, one of whom is a native German who wanted to show us the food of Germany and experience it for ourselves. The owner (I can't remember her name) was very nice and a sweet lady. She answered our questions and let us take our time with ordering. I got a German iced coffee which was incredible. My friends that also got it said the same thing. For my appetizer I got the cucumber salad. It was a bit sweet for my taste but was still good with the dill and when I added salt. For my entree I got the Jaegerschnitzel with the pork lions, with two sides of fried potatoes and red cabbage. The pork loins with gravy were phenomenal, probably the best I've had in years. The fried potatoes were good, but the red cabbage was just a bit sweet for me. It was cooked well though. Overall my friends and I had an awesome experience here. My friend from Germany was so happy that we loved the food and he seemed very happy to be there. The interior of the restaurant is reminiscent of Germany, and there was also German music playing. I did notice the owner speaking with my friend in German which I thought was very friendly and down to earth of her. 5/5, 10/10 and I'll be back if I can!

    Hello C.

Busy on the weekend and that's great to see. Food was deliciously fresh and the ambiance was cheerful. It felt like a place you can call home. Nice seating and friendly staff. The desserts were just like I remember in Germany. It too sweet and was the perfect treat. Never felt rushed and enjoyed conversation. I don't know why I haven't come more often. Tried the Pork jegarshnitzel, spatzle, gravy, potato salad. Wasn't disappointed at all. Delicious!

I'm totally biased because I love German restaurants. Don't let it being off of the main drag in Fayetteville be a real not to come in and enjoy some GREAT German food! This is a hidden gem in the Sandhills, a very pretty inside and cozy place with yummy German pastries and breakfast and dinner. It is now one of my GOTO places when I need a Deutschland fix. Highly recommend!

Had the Thursday special, beef sauerbraten. So tender you didn't need the knife they provided. The red cabbage was on point too. It is small and we had to wait just a bit. It was worth it.

    Epic mug?

The restaurant opened back in 1985 and has been open ever since. The historic building and German theme add to the experience. The restaurant has seating on three levels, with a bar and some tables when you walk in, and two smaller dining areas on the other levels. The staff even dress in traditional attire. The architecture itself is incredible, showcasing the original 40-foot hand-carved pine beams from the 1860s cotton warehouse. Even the foundational stones holding up the restaurant space are repurposed from old ship ballast stones left behind at the 19th-century port by passing trade vessels! I chose to sit on the middle level because it was decorated with beautiful cuckoo clocks, which fondly reminded me of my own trip to Germany's Black Forest region and of visiting a clock factory there, where I saw the massive cuckoo clocks. For my meal, I ordered the pork schnitzel, which came served with warm German potato salad, sweet red cabbage, and a crisp cucumber salad. The pork schnitzel was cooked absolutely perfectly and tasted so good. I knew German potato salad was traditionally served warm, but I wasn't quite expecting the strong tang of the vinegar, though I thoroughly enjoyed the cabbage and cucumbers. To finish the meal, I debated between the German chocolate cake and the apple strudel. I ultimately chose the strudel for a more authentic experience, as German chocolate cake is actually an American creation rather than a traditional German one. The strudel arrived warm and was incredibly tasty!

We told our server that the tater tots tasted off, but she didn't offer to replace them or make it right. Our chicken sliders were disappointing with the taste was off also missing the pickles they were supposed to come with, and we were also charged extra for the beer cheese without it being clearly communicated and didn't ask for it... The atmosphere made it nearly impossible to enjoy dinner. The karaoke was so loud that we couldn't even carry on a conversation at our table. The $4 margaritas were also a letdown. They tasted almost entirely like sour mix, with little to no tequila flavor. The only bright spot of the evening was another server who stepped in to help with our drinks and recommended a passion fruit sour, which was actually enjoyable. Overall, we left feeling very disappointed with both the food and the service. Unfortunately, this restaurant has gone downhill, and we won't be returning for food. Save your money and dine somewhere else if you're looking for a good meal and a pleasant dining experience.

They have a great selection of rotating taps with a focus on German beers. They usually keep at least a couple IPA and Stout taps. They also have wine by the glass. Parking can be a bit of a pain. TCB only has two official parking spots, if there are any spots in the lot use those ones last because all of the lot frequently fills up due to Winging It next door...especially on their trivia night. So if you leave the TCB only spots open someone who can't find a spot may get one. On the bright side, Winging It takes phone in orders and will deliver it to TCB at the bar for you if you ask. Outside food is obviously welcome since they don't have a restaurant. Interesting fact, under the previous owners there was a brewery that shared space with TCB called 3rd Degree Brewhouse. They didn't survive the covid years but it was cool! They regularly have food trucks on some Fridays and Saturdays (who will ultimately steal those two parking spots). They do have some bar food including hot pretzels served with beer cheese and mustard and it's pretty good. They are super dog friendly....like if dogs bother you, don't come here. The owners dogs are sweet and behave. They are also kid and family friendly. Some of the visitors on the other hand, their owners need to train their pups a bit more. I have seen a few squabbles over the years and heard more than a few barking contests. Don't worry, they are usually calmed down fast. And I won't let you know if I was talking about the dogs, kids or maybe both. One of my favorite things is that they use Untappd. You can see their menu on there as well as check in beers as you drink them. As of writing this I have 192 check in's there across at least 6 years. I used to be a regular but I cut back on my drinking and haven't been in awhile, but I need to go to get to 200 check ins! They frequently host DJ Gino for Music Bingo which is my favorite. He also does music, karaoke, record nights, and probably some other DJ-eeyness that I'm forgetting. There are dozens of board games inside, a couple video games, Touch Tunes, TVs to watch sports, and even a golf arcade game. Outside they have corn hole and covered picnic tables with some really nice rocking chairs. Cigar smoking is allowed out front. Aside from the rotating taps, they have a huge selection of refrigerated and non-refrigerated beer, non-alcoholic beer, kids drinks like root beer and Saranack Shirley Temples, and a few other things. Tap water and cups is back in the corner. My only gripe about this place is the $2 uncharge to open a beer from the cooler onsite. Seriously bro, come one, we're already tipping 20-25% on the purchase of that $9 can, I think the bartender could open it no problem and not make it a $13-14 can of beer. This is the only bottle shop that I used to frequent that had a "cork fee" for opening beer purchased there cold. I eventually just started buying a couple to go instead of drinking them there to save the extra cost. Last bonus fact: They used to have a run club and I went a few times and was the slowest one. We ran behind Kohls in those neighborhoods. Then we'd all come over and drink the calories back on but the worst part was on run club night they served free brats with sauerkraut and mustard...so we really put back on the exercise effort.

J Betski's has consistently good food and their servers are always nice. These were the only items in their selection that had a price, $4, so I got two togo. The lemon bars and blueberry bars looked delicious, so I got two each for after dinner. We got 50 little neck clams, and needed some bread. Their sourdough looked good, so I got a loaf. The sourdough that we bought was literally the most dense bread I have ever eaten. Even soaking it in clam broth did not help. Tried an un-soaked piece, and it was like eating tough jerky. The dogs didn't even want it. After dinner I cut one each of the pastries in quarters to share. The lemon had a very slight taste of lemon (very very slight), and although the blueberry appears to be packed with fruit, it only tasted like soggy dough. (See pic). My last shot was the macaroon. I gave one to my daughter to split with me. She barely split it. The filling was like the mixed it with marshmallows. It stretched while the cookie crushed, and also did not taste good at all. I would like to think they got a new pastry chef that is learning, but sorry, at 42 bucks for that amount of food that was all bad, I'm not going to be another guinea pig. Oh, no one wanted the other lemon or blueberry bar, so sadly I threw them out.
