Sorry for the delay on my review. Our master bath remodel was pretty overwhelming. Remove a…read morejacuzzi tub, remove the glass show enclosure, demo all the wall tile, floor tile, mortar bed, redo the drain line, redo the plumbing, build a knee wall, and retile everything. And I did all the work myself. YouTube videos were a help. But we wanted something different and looked into glass block on top of the knee wall. The big box stores offered a way to order the glass block, but no expertise on what to choose or how to install. That's where Rob at Stevens Glass Block came in. We visited his office one cold rainy morning and he asked us about our project and showed us the different glass block options. No high pressure sales, just helpful advice and choices. After I had done the demo, I contacted Rob with my crude drawing of what I wanted. I was building a knee wall and wanted glass block above that. Rob asked a few questions and provided a nice CAD drawing of what he thought it should look like. That was it. I told Rob that would work. He sent me a bill of materials, that included everything I would need to build the wall including spacers and glass mortar. I placed the order and once everything came in he called and I picked it up. Did I mention I was doing this myself and had no experience with glass block? The biggest difference from tile is you don't mortar the glass block and then grout it. It's all done at once. So, you have to work fast and not try to do too many courses at once. I found doing two courses and then dong the traditional grout cleanings was about all I could do in one evening. The glass mortar/grout dries faster than traditional floor tile grout. I had questions along the way and Rob answered them quickly. My advice if you do it yourself is to ask a. lot of questions and watch online videos before you start. You can do it yourself if you get informed and have patience. The finished product looks so good and we are glad with used glass block instead of a tall wall.

If I didn't skim the tassels and empty the baskets at least 3x a day, our pool would get green and mucky very fast. This year we decided to get Secure my Pool to make a cover for us. They gave me an estimate based on pictures and rough measurements. And then they came out with an industrial sized sewing machine on the back of their truck, did their own measurements, and made it on the spot. Every day when I walk past the windows, I heave a sigh of relief that I'm not having to work all day every day to keep the pollen out of the pool. Owner was really nice -- so was his son, who came out and made/installed the cover. No nonsense, communicative people who do what they say they will at a decent price.
