I had 38k worth of equipment installed on 10/22/25 by Thayer Air-conditioning, since the new…read moreequipment was turned on, my home has been subjected to outrageously high/unhealthy levels of humidity (Digital Readout from home monitors). This complaint by me was met with counter accusations, excuses and name calling by the owner none the less, neglecting the fact I have electronic readouts showing the new system and its effect on my entire home. Two months into dealing with this Thayer's reluctant answer was to install (for free/an admission of guilt) a dehumidifier, in turn this now runs all the time is vibrating the home. In addition to the humidity problem, they also installed a home air purification kit (2), these were installed incorrect according the manufactures specifications, they argued this point, stating the Germicidal U/V lights would not effect plastics within the air handler/furnace, ignoring the install specs stating "do not expose plastics, non UV rated to this UV light" placing blame on the air handler/furnace manufacturer "all plastics inside are UV rated", "that's what we were told" was Thayers response. The plastics inside, some no more than 2 inches away all showed signs of deterioration including actual bubbles/flaking/burnt marking on plastic within Line of sight of UV light bulb. I immediately brought this to Thayers attention and there's has been NO action (besides opening up units to verify my finds) or responses on their part, but like the humidity problem, I will take action including this submittal and other reviewing websites as well communication with the manufactures of the equipment they are installing incorrect, until there is resolve. Thayers response is admission to their lack of knowledge in their trade. Please protect your family and your home buy a Home air quality meter. There are many, here is the one that informed me of adverse conditions that Thayer air conditioning cause in my home. https://www.getawair.com ' products ' element

Our AC unit stopped working and we have been in this long heat wave. I was worried that they would…read morebe too busy to come assess the problem but Jon came out that same afternoon. Initially, it was definitely the sensor not working, which would inform whether the board worked or not. He had a really hard time finding the right sensor - everywhere was out - but he persisted and found one in San Marcos, which he drove to pick up. Once installed, he realized it was also the board. It was after 5 pm at this time and suppliers were closing so the board didn't get replaced that night. The next morning, he was able to find a board in San Antonio, drove to get it and had it installed before 1pm. We were back in action with the house cooling down by 1:30/2 pm. The new board actually came with a sensor so, instead of charging me for the first one he secured, he returned it and saved us almost $300. They were fast to react, persistent in trying to find the parts, very professional and friendly, reasonable cost, and for sure hard working. I highly recommend Miculka mechanical and they are now my official go-to AC company!

A couple of Sunday nights back, I noticed that our a/c was not cooling as it should. When I got up…read morethe next morning, there was no cool air being circulated, so I knew we needed service quickly. Monday morning, my wife called Bulverde Heating and Air, which is the company we had been using for our regular service. In talking with them, they advised that they could work us in that same week. On Thursday, after several unanswered calls, my wife reached them by text. They told us we weren't on the schedule, but they would work us in the following week. By Thursday of the next week, after not hearing from them, we started calling them. No returned calls led us to texting again. After finally getting a reply, they told us we were not on the schedule, so they would put us on for Tuesday of the next week. Well, that would take us into week 3, and as we have been sitting in record triple degree temps the entire time, I knew it was time to find someone else! You would think that if a company is selling a service that they would do what they say they will do. I was actually shocked that this company treated a client like they treated us. I understand that, with these record hot temps, most of these companies have more to do than they can handle. I get it. Just admit you can't do the job and let us find someone else. Word of mouth advertising is a two-edged sword. It can be the best advertising in the world. or it can be the worst. Guess which one they will get from me.

Never heard a word about the problem. The sixth service I was with technician who had taken out our air filter. He was at a loss of how to install new one. He was actually going to leave us with air filter left out. We all know how hot it gets in Texas. The trouble with our filter installation was the builder installed the closet incorrectly. Air Clinic was going to charge us over $1000 to correct it. Of course our warranty period was over. My argument was I was never told there was a problem till the tech that was going to leave us with no AC. If one of the techs had told us a problem we could have had our builders fix it. We had a repair done for a third of the cost Air Clinic quoted. I always paid upfront for their tuneup plan. I am still waiting for my money back for Fall tuneup. I won't be using it. I cancelled 3 months ago and not a word or a check. BBB here I come.
