Also, I used to work at a restaurant and you can adjust how much syrup is in a fountain drink and they've got it turned really far down so the fountain drinks taste watered down already when you first get them and they look almost clear coming out of the fountains they have the syrup set on cheap mode, even though they charge you five dollars for a fountain drink. We were finally able to come into a side door and get buy another drink and let the two-year-old sleep in the air conditioning in his stroller. Since family have been to ride Flight of Passage before, the key was to get to Animal Kingdom early in the morning to get in line for that ride. I adore this little "snack shack" tucked away in Pandora. I visit Disney annually in February and always plan a stop at Pongu Pongu for something sweet. I think the most photogenic and popular items are the night blossom drink. It's filled with vibrant colors and fruity balls. (Yes- we giggle about the drink with fruity balls during most of our trip.) I didn't love the consistency when adding alcohol to it (making it a rum blossom), but that's my vibe with most frozen alcoholic drinks. It makes for a great picture either way and tastes pretty good! If you're not big on sweets, you may want to skip this one or plan to share it with a friend. My most recent trip, I skipped the drink and went for the Pongu Lumpia instead. Hello, pineapple cream cheese explosion! Gave me a bit of a stomach ache after finishing it, but it was worth it. The included syrup does a nice job of upping the sweetness, as the sticks by themselves aren't too sweet (which I appreciated). A little later, I returned to Pongu Pongu because I had to try one of their novelty beers. I decided to get the Hawkes' Grog Ale ("Fruity hop with notes of apricot and peach"). It's fine. If they had just rethought the flavor combinations, this drink might have been really good.
