Where's breakfast again? Was that at Susan's? No. Daisy's? No. Minnie's? Oh! That's right! We're going to Olivia's Cafe for breakfast! And so we did. NOTES 1. Located in the main building of Disney's Old Key West Resort. As one might expect, it's very nautical themed. 2. We arrived before 9:00am, and thankfully the restaurant wasn't very crowded and we were seated immediately. Thanks to the lovely cast member that sat us in a both at the end. However, there were noticeably more people dining when we left. 3. We dined at Olivia's Cafe in November 2025 (yes, this review is a bit late), as we were guests of Old Key West. Our server introduced herself and gave us a few minutes to look over the menu. In the end, I chose the sombrero omelet, while my partner chose the Buttermilk Chicken with an add-on Mickey waffle. Our very own coffee carafe completed our meal. We liked the food honestly. There's no better way to express it. The portions were decent, and the food was delivered in a timely manner. Also, I thought the option of the adding the Mickey waffle was just magical. SERVICE Our server, Cara, provided outstanding customer service. We appreciated her patience, knowledge and expertise regarding the menu, as well as checking on us periodically throughout the meal. Well done, Cara! side NOTE Cara did explain to us that their breakfast potatoes were on the cheesier side of the dairy spectrum, and that it was not to the liking of some former customers/diners. And to be honest, the potatoes are mixed/tossed in cheese, but it wasn't like they were drenched IMHO. BOTTOM LINE A wonderful breakfast at Olivia's Cafe. Old Key West Resort Restaurant -- Florida Vibes, Flavorless Food This place really looks like Florida. The resort is called Old Key West, and you feel it the moment you walk in. Gorgeous setting. Now if only the food matched the atmosphere. --The Prime Rib-- The slow-cooked prime rib was flavorless and arrived lukewarm. The au jus wasn't much help either. Think beef broth with no seasoning and you're basically there. This looked, felt, and tasted dead. Not what you expect from a prime rib centerpiece. --The Chicken-- The Southernmost Buttermilk Chicken was OK--/emphasis on OK. But like the prime rib, the seasoning was an afterthought. Pass the salt and pepper if you want any flavor out of either dish. --The Dessert-- I took the server's recommendation and went with the Pineapple Mango Upside-Down Cake. Why did I listen? The presentation is beautiful. The taste did not keep up. Lesson learned. --The Drinks-- The Turtle Krawl was the bright spot of the meal. Think rum punch on a warm afternoon and you've got the right idea. It's a great treat...just don't expect it to rescue the food. --The Verdict-- Olivia's Cafe has the setting and the atmosphere locked in. The kitchen has some catching up to do. If you visit, plant yourself at the bar, order the Turtle Krawl, and temper your expectations before the entrée arrives. read more

Delicious, friendly, welcoming. It had been years from the last time I ate here, and after all the buzz and hype I've heard, I needed to try it out. It was good. The view was great, got to watch the boats come and go, people coming to and from the pool, and just watch life pass by. The food was very tasty, if a bit on the bland side, but I enjoyed it. I had the conch fritters, hush puppies, and the buttermilk chicken and eggs with a glass of the red sangria. It was tasty yes, but wish there was a bit more flavor to it. We were taken care of by Ryan and while he started off a bit reserved, by the end he had opened up and made the meal delightful. The only concern is the parking. In a word, horrible. I circled the lot once, there were several cars waiting, so I went down and parked about four buildings away. There isn't room to expand the lot, so give yourself time to get there. read more

Loved this spot for plant-based breakfast. It was a big portion and I definitely couldn't finish it, especially with the kiddos leftovers. Our server was super friendly and we were lucky enough to spot some characters running around with a photographer outside. Old Key West is a really nice resort too. After breakfast, we went for a swim then jumped on the ferry and headed over to Disney Springs for a day of shopping. This is a low key laid back resort restaurant option. I took a star off because the parking is absolutely terrible here. We circled and circled for 20min before we got a parking spot. The hostess told us this is an on going issues and people usually come by bus transportation. How are you supposed to know this if it's your first time going to the restaurant and you're not staying here. Regardless the restaurant is decorated nicely it gives the key west feel. The food was worth the hassle. We started with crispy flavorful conch fritters and I got the buttermilk chicken entree, the lunch option. It was so juicy and tasty. My husband got the banana French toast, it was delightful. My husband ordered apple juice and keep in mind that it's not bottomless you pay for every refill. Gratuity of 18% is included. I LOVE Olivia's Cafe!! It's an absolute hidden gem and my favorite place to recommend to folks looking for a good restaurant for their resort day. I have happily tried both breakfast and dinner and both are excellent. I love the Banana Bread French Toast and Buttermilk Chicken at brunch and the fresh catch or salmon at dinner. You can get the Conch Fritters at either meal and they are to die for. While staying at the Old Key West hotel, we decided to try the one sit-down restaurant on the property as a matter of convenience. I perused the limited menu outside the restaurant and was worried I wouldn't really like anything...all the menu items were a little "fancy" for my taste. However, the restaurant proved me very wrong, in the best way. The restaurant only has about 25 - 30 tables, making it one of the smaller hotel sit-down restaurant. We luckily were placed in a smaller room which was a bit quieter. Disney restaurants tend to be SO loud, especially when you've got kids running around and yelling after an exhausting day in the parks. Our server was really nice and attentive. She explained the menu to us and mentioned the fried chicken is the top seller. When she told us that it was also all white meat, I perked up and decided to order that. And I was so delighted...it was delicious, very crispy and tasty, with the option for gravy on top. The sides were also so good. This may be one of my favorite meals in WDW. Though I'd never stay at Old Key West again, I would come back to the area for Olivia's! read more

We are staying at Old Key West for a quick spring break trip. We are DVC members so we come to Disney at least once or twice a year. So, we enjoy trying the resort restaurants and tonight was no different. Olivia's was very disappointing. The atmosphere is very down scale like a Denys with a Key West theme. The Food. The bread (coconut & pineapple) bread was terrible. Whoever thought of that recipe should be demoted. We had the prime rib and southern fried chicken breast. Both were just ok, nothing special. We had to ask for au jus and it arrived 10-15 minutes after our food so the prime rib was cold by then. The server was nice but overwhelmed with too many tables and she could not be very attentive. Too high priced for the atmosphere and the mediocre food. I suggest trying Saratoga Springs restaurant, The Turf Club if you want great atmosphere and great prime rib. read more

Our meal at Olivia's Cafe was pretty solid. We started with their lovely house-made bread with is divine. The soup of the day was a sort of seafood chowder with conch which we all wanted more of. Other items were also pretty great. Not pictured but absolutely amazing was the Slow-cooked Prime Rib feature. Really our only quibbles were the hush puppies were a touch over-done, getting seated was overly hectic, and the service was a little on the slow side. My daughter and I had the best experience here for brunch! Our hostess gave my daughter a card for her birthday! Our server, Heather Lynn, was amazing! She chatted with us and even gave my daughter a birthday cupcake! The attention to detail at this restaurant was top notch. I had a basic breakfast-pancakes, eggs and bacon. These pancakes were so fluffy and flavorful. Omg! Definitely one of the best I've had. My daughter had the banana bread French toast-also delish! Hubby and I had an amazing brunch today at Olivia's. Cara was our server and she was very kind and attentive. Hubby wanted an iced coffee, and although they don't have that on the menu, Cara made it happen by bringing coffee and lots of ice. The food was also delicious. We came for dinner a week before and tried the chicken dinner and it was so delicious!!! We also came for breakfast and our food was very yummy with generous portions. Great meal great service! Shame on Disney that a party of 14 could not be booked originally. Our party of 6&8 were told could be put together. Originally the restaurant said no way. The manager did magic to get us together for our parent's 60 wedding anniversary. We stayed at the Key West Resort in Walt Disney World and on the morning of our departure, took the easy route and decided to try Olivias cafe on the premises vs looking for a place to stop on the drive home. There are so many good restaurants in Disney's parks, resorts and Disney Springs it is usually hard to decide where to go! Most of the food, service and atmosphere are above average in my opinion. As you can see by the pictures of our breakfast dishes and Caesar salad at Olivias, our meals were average which is why I didn't rate higher. Even with a simple breakfast, something should stand out because you are at Disney. The atmosphere was very nice; the service was a bit off with a wait for our table although once seated properly our server was very pleasant. We were in need of coffee and that wish was fulfilled. The star of the three meals was my delicious, crispy, moist country fried chicken breast. It met my craving for southern fried chicken and went perfectly with my Caesar salad for a late breakfast otherwise known as brunch. Earlier this month we took a trip to Disney World and we returned to one of our former favorite restaurants at Old Key West called Olivia's. I am truly sorry to report that this restaurant has deteriorated quite badly. The once bright, cheerful atmosphere is now dismal and covered with dirt and dust. We had a large party and were assigned a single waitress, who seemed quite incapable of performing her duties. My wife met with the chef, and after agreeing to prepare something without seasoning, it was promptly ignored, and they never prepared her dinner. When they redid the meal, it was covered in seasoning she is allergic to. When it was brought to her redone a second time, it was a dreadful, inedible, oily mess. Her dinner was too disgusting to photograph. My Meal (see photograph) was equally inedible. Mashed potatoes, prepared too far in advance were gummy and reminded me of Elmer's glue. A breaded cutlet of chicken that had clearly been frozen and reheated was awful. Appetizers arrived after dinners, Bread and drinks all arrived late and to the wrong people. Frankly, we skipped dessert because we could not wait to leave. It's saddens me that this once excellent restaurant has crumbled from ineptitude and indifference. We will never return to Olivia's. I strongly urge you to avoid this establishment as it has devolved into a greasy spoon. read more

Our experience did not start out great. We arrived 30 minutes early without any expectations of being seated early but we checked in anyway and were told they would let us know when a table was available. We were happy to browse the gift shop as we patiently waited for our seat. After 20 minutes past our reservation time, we finally inquired about our reservation and they said they were getting a table ready for us. Shortly after that, our table was ready. It was as if they didn't even have our check-in information and accommodated us once we inquired. The restaurant itself has a very nice beachy atmosphere and it was very clean and inviting. I just ordered the seasonal market salad that was refreshing and filling. I also ordered the hush puppies because I love hush puppies and order them every chance I get. I was not overly impressed with the lack of flavor hushpuppies, but they were cooked nicely and had bits of corn and were served with honey butter on the side. My husband ordered the shrimp and grits, and he enjoyed the flavors. Overall, I was not impressed with the limited food offerings on the menu. read more

So many people rave about this restaurant. Maybe because it's the only real restaurant on Old Key West property so it's really your only option for food. The food it's ok. If you want a quick, convenient bite while on property then it will work for you. But, if you aren't staying in property but in the Disney area, there are definitely better options. The restaurant has a really laid back vibe, I guess to match the Old Key West feel. It does feel a little dated. We used to eat here from time to time about 10 years ago (or longer) due to its close proximity to Disney Springs and it seems that the decor is still the same it hasn't changed. We sat on the patio to enjoy the evening breeze. Our waitress seemed scripted and you could kinda tell she was just trying to get through the day. Not really energetic or upbeat. We only wanted a light bite because we were planning to go to Disney Springs so split a cheeseburger and shrimp fritters. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing but what we had was just ok. The cheese burger did have good flavor but there were not a lot of options for condiments. I don't eat ketchup, plain Mayo, or mustard on my burger. I generally like bbq sauce and garlic aioli or something similar. I did get bbq sauce but it was thin (kinda watery) tangy. The waitress offered me a jalapeño sauce that is used for another dish. It was ok. The shrimp fritters looked so good. After biting into it discovered it was light and fluffy. I loved the dipping sauce that came with it. It was delicious. The fritters themselves were seasoned well but were more bread than shrimp. They had a mild shrimp taste. The shrimp were shopped up so small you could barely see them. Overall the meal was ok but there are other Disney Resort restaurants with better tasting food and better ambience. read more

The service was okay Ryan stood at one side of the table and told us to pass the drinks around the table which I have never had a waiter ask us to do that before it was kind of odd. The food was made very well as fat as quality unfortunately I had to send two things back due to temperature. Now there were 6 of us so that just tends to happen unfortunately at any restaurant but again the flavors were there and absolutely delicious. We wanted to try something new while in the Disney area. This restaurant was highly recommended for good food and location ( in the Disney Key West resort). I had a vegetarian dish, pretty much the only one on the menu. It was a tofu curry, very tasty and a perfect portion. One of their most popular dishes is the breaded chicken with gravy and vegetables ( get the Brussel sprouts, really good) and that's what everyone else had. The bread is amazing and addictive. My mom got the regular complementary bread which she said was good and the chicken with extra gravy. My curry was good but as soon as I stirred it the oil separated creating a ton of grease. I had an extra bowl full of just oil by the time I separated it. I think I just got a bad batch that maybe was made with too much coconut milk or oil. A hidden gem! We were looking for a place to have breakfast on our Disney Springs day and I remembered that there is a boat between Old Key West and Disney Springs, so we decided to try Olivia's Cafe. Olivia's feels very homey and is decorated with family photos of DVC members and laid back beach memorabilia. We were seated right away in a cozy booth and our server brought us everything we needed and more. My parents enjoyed the crab cake eggs benedict and Olivia's breakfast. My husband liked the sombrero beach omelet and I thought the signature bacon cheeseburger was very good!
