No complaints there at all. Beef Patty: 2/5 - The seasoning was actually pretty good, so the flavor was there. Unfortunately, the patty itself was very dry and had much less beef filling than I expected. I kept hoping for a better bite, but it never really happened. Coco Bread: 1/5 - It was served warm, which was nice, but it was also quite dry. I was expecting the soft, buttery, slightly sweet coco bread that's perfect for pairing with a patty. This one missed the mark for me. Overall, the experience wasn't terrible thanks to the excellent customer service, but the food just didn't live up to what I expect from a Jamaican restaurant. There are enough great Jamaican spots around Orlando, that I probably wouldn't make a return trip here. I was rushing on my break or I would've taken a photo.

Sherry's Trini Flavors had me feeling like I accidentally stepped through a secret Caribbean…read morewormhole and landed somewhere between Port of Spain and a gas station parking lot in Florida. The giant NOW OPEN banner was flapping like it personally invited me, and the storefront painted in bold Trinidad flag colors looked ready to hand out citizenship papers with every order. I walked in thinking I'd grab a quick bite. Rookie mistake, one look at the doubles and suddenly I'm ordering five. Then I'm calling my aunt and cousin like it's a family emergency: "Allyuh want doubles? Because these looking SERIOUS." Next thing you know, I'm walking out with ten doubles like I'm catering a small festival. And let me tell you, these doubles? Soft bara, perfectly seasoned channa, pepper and tamarind sauce hugging everything like a warm Caribbean auntie. I've basically been on a doubles‑only diet since, and honestly, I feel spiritually aligned. I even ate one cold from the fridge and it still slapped. That's when you know it's real. Then there's the boneless curry chicken with buss‑up‑shut. Pure comfort. The kind of meal that makes you close your eyes after the first bite. The potatoes were soft enough to spread on a cracker, the channa was rich and earthy, and the chicken tasted like somebody's grandmother was in the back whispering, "Put a lil' more seasoning, nah." The buss‑up‑shut was fluffy, torn, and ready to scoop up every drop of curry like it had a mission. And the pepper sauce? Flavorful. Respectful. Not trying to fight me or send me to the ER. A rare and beautiful thing. The place is clean, the parking is plentiful, and the staff has real Trini accents that instantly make everything feel more authentic. Even the way they say "Next!" has rhythm. Next time, I'm calling ahead for dhal phourie, because clearly this place does not miss and I'm not risking it selling out. If you see me there again, mind your business! I'm probably ordering another ten doubles and living my best life.

I happened to find Sherry's Trini while I was in Orlando for an exam and decided to give it a try. I ordered the potato and channa roti with pepper sauce on the side. The potato and channa was yum, well-seasoned. The pepper sauce was everything I needed. Now for the roti itself. If you're accustomed to a good dhalpuri or buss up shut, this one might leave you wanting a little more. It wasn't bad, but it lacked that soft, delicate, flaky texture. The filling was carrying the meal more than the roti did. Overall though, I appreciated finally finding a place in Florida serving Trini food that actually tastes like somebody put some love into it. It's hard to come by down here. While the roti wasn't exactly what I was hoping for, the potato and channa definitely satisfied the craving and I'd still come back to get some other fixes.

We both got the griot entree. It came with two sides; I picked fried plantain and diri Jon Jon rice. It also came with extra gravy and salad. They have a kiosk self ordering process, which seemed to cause confusion with our waitress and the kitchen, so we let the owner know, and my friend's food came out 10 mins or so after mine. She said her griot was on the dry side, but still enjoyed her food. We also ordered pineapple cream sodas which didn't have any taste. Besides that, the owner was nice and receptive to our concerns and we still had a positive overall experience. Food was delicious!

Plus, they were on Uber Eats and I didn't feel like going out. Ordered my usual Jamaican dish - brown stew chicken with rice and peas and vegetables. Started out with the carrot cake - 10/10. Cake was moist, cream cheese icing was creamy and not too sweet, a good amount of carrots in the cake, a big portion sliced in half for sharing, and an affordable price. Brown stew chicken - 5/10. Ok flavor, but the chicken was kind of dry. I would have liked extra gravy but was unable to make that special request. Rice and peas - 10/10. Rice was good, nice hint of coconut milk, peas cooked perfectly. Veggies - 2/10. Bland AF. Everything except for the cabbage tastes like it came from a can. Plantain - 2/10. Bland, kinda dry. This is a smallish, unassuming shop located in a strip-mall. There are about 6 tables available for dining in and some "bar" seating. I can tell this spot is very popular with the locals because during our visit, there was a steady stream of customers coming in to pick-up carry-out orders. We ordered a lot of food, so I had a Rum Punch while we waited. The menu warns that you just need one to feel it, and let me tell you, it puts the PUNCH in rum punch! Very strong, very potent. I ordered the Fried Catfish meal with collard greens and mac and cheese. I had Miss Pam's Sweet Tea as my drink. I was disappointed by the size of the catfish filets (3), because they were more like tenders, but the flavor and the fry on them was 10/10! The collard greens were cooked well and well-seasoned and the macaroni was super cheesy and creamy. My husband ordered the Pork Chop meal with the same two sides. He was concerned that they pork chop would be too thick, but based on the pictures we saw here, I told him that wouldn't be a problem. Unfortunately, it was quite the opposite. The pork chop was so thin, that once it was fried, it curled up and onto itself. We also ordered the 6 wing/5 shrimp meal, and because we asked for it to be packed and prepared for an hour of travel, they opted to fry them a little hard but that ultimately dried them out. It was an honest mistake and we appreciated them going the extra mile to ensure its freshness for when we got home. They used extra packaging to keep all of the sides from spilling into each other and we greatly appreciated that. I wasn't really a fan of the sweet tea. It was brewed strong and had a fruity note to it that I wasn't a fan of. The best bite of my entire 5-day trip was the Spicy Beef Patty. Oh, how I wish I'd gone all in on the beef patties! If I'm ever in the area again, I will order 5 and call it a day! I wanted to try some of the other flavors, but they were already sold out for the day. That's always a good sign!

What I really loved was the service and the music, of course. Our server was great, attentive and genuinely caring. I told him I had a nut allergy and he made sure to explain the ingredients in each dish and double check with one of the managers that I'd be clear to eat it. I really appreciated that level of care and concern. They have a pretty decent menu with good options to choose from. My husband opted for the jerk chicken entree that came with a side of rice and peas with plantains which he subbed out for the tangy salad which is more like a coleslaw. I got the strip steak kabob with the tangy salad, festival, and grilled pineapples on the side. I will say I didn't love the food. My steak was cooked well done, although I asked for medium well. He told me it's cooked to one temperature--well done, but it was a bit tough once it came out. The steak was also unevenly cut. Some pieces were bigger than others, so I had to cut them down. The festival was pretty good, but the salad did not have any tang to it. I tried my husband's rice and it was pretty dry with little flavor. It couhave used some seasoning. He loved the chicken, though, and ate it down to the bones. For dessert, I had their coconut gizzard and that was the star of the show for me. It rich and decadent. Very sweet, but very good. It definitely made up for dinner which I wasn't too much a fan of. Again, service here is great!! Portions are large, but the food could use a bit more flavor.

The menu read great and we were excited to try this place since we love Jamaican Food. Was not easy to make a reservation - had to call Universal main line and choose from options. However, once we got a person, the reservation process was easy and pleasant. We informed the person taking the reservation that this was our first time visiting the restaurant so we expected a nice table - I assume they want repeat business. But instead we were seated right in front of the live band and it was so loud, we couldn't talk at all. The funny thing was that the restaurant was barely half full! Our waiter also had a tough time hearing us so we had to corret our orders a couple of times. They ran out of beef patties:-( that day. We decide to order some appetizers and a couple of entrees and shared. We had the Buffalo Soldier Jerk Wings - Had a nice spice to it and was quite delicious. We also hd the Jerk Caulifolower bites - a little sweet and spicy sauce and we all agreed this was the best dish we had! We had the Curried Goat stew - a weak curry and did not really have any spice to it. The Reggae Jamaican Jerk Chicken had a sweet spice and sticky sauce - next best dish we had. We also ordered the Coco bread- which was disappointing andd I do not recommend. It was just bread with some butter in it and definitely overpriced for what you got! Cocktails were rather weak. Server was just OK. He wasn't very attentive and did nothing to make our visit great.
