Mexican restaurant located within the Disney Coronado Resort. Very large restaurant so feels a bit like a convention venue. Despite checking in while the restaurant was very slow and had plenty of availability (we waited 1-2 min), they required us to give our name, email, phone number. Felt like we were getting signed up for endless spam. Hostesses (2 of them) were some of the most unfriendly people I've encountered when dining. They could benefit from some customer centric training. Regardless, got to the table & our waitress was lovely, attentive, knowledgeable. Chips & salsa are not free - no big deal - we purchased them. Salsa was very smooth and smoky. I enjoyed it. Regular margarita is not very good - pay the extra $$ for the upgraded version. Skip the guacamole. It's the tiniest portion ever and they really ruin it with all the toppings. You can c in the pic someone's arm in the background to help understand the size. It was maybe a salad plate size and the guac was maybe 1/2" high and formed in a circle a couple inches off the edge (nothing in the middle so it's less guac than you think). It wasn't even very good. The winner of the meal, however, was the chicken & steak fajitas. Very tasty, decent quantity and enjoyed those. If you're stuck in the hotel or don't want to venture out, give it a try. If you want your money to go toward a really good meal, this isn't it. read more

We did not have the meal plans Food is a big part of vacations and we ate a lot of table serve restaurants. We loved Maya's (Table Service) it's right on property connected to the convention center. We had dinner twice here. Once on arrival day and once on a park day. We just arrived and it was right before closing and we were tired and not that hungry. We had their queso chorizo fundido dip and their Poblano Caesar salad and both were really good. The Queso was so cheesy and strongly. I loved it with the tortillas they gave you to eat it with. They needed more tortillas to match the amount of dip that they had. We ended up eating the rest of the dip with a spoon. On our park day we added our name to the standby list as we walked over. We tried to do it in the room, but we were too far away. We were ready to eat around 7 and the only reservation was for 8:30pm. I took it to be safe, but when we walked up there we could see they weren't busy at all and we were seated right away. We weren't that hungry as we had lunch a big lunch at the Brown Derby so we split the Pescado de Cenote which was really good and I got the Caesar Salad again. It was so good, much better then the Cobb salad I had at the brown Derby. We ended the evening with Chocolate lava cake. We highly recommend Maya's. We loved the food and ambiance. They had a live guitar. player there playing background music. Being on site we charged the meal to our room and that was quick and easy. We used our room key to make the transaction. Awesome vibe and decor, good service, and live music! I got the beet salad and added grilled chicken- it was good but I was expecting more greens than the few sprigs I got. It was good, but I was a little disappointed. My mom got the fish tacos which was good - I wish they had some dairy-free options for those lactose-free folks - Disney is pretty good about that, so I'm surprised they didn't have that here. read more

I dined at Maya Grill during my recent stay at Coronado Springs. My son and I did not have reservations but we were able to be seated for dinner. Arturo was our server and he provided excellent service. Unlike most Mexican restaurants, chips and salsa are not complimentary here so we ended up getting the chips with salsa and queso for $12.00. The queso had zero flavor but the chips and salsa were okay. My son ordered the chicken fingers and fries kids meal which was a good portion but looked and tasted like it had been sitting under a warmer all day. The steak fajitas were decent and probably the best thing we ordered. While the service was excellent, the food itself was lacking and overpriced. I guess it's typical for resort restaurants to have subpar food at high prices. read more

First of of like to point it what I saw from another review, that when we asked about seating they told us about a 45 minute wait, so we went on the app and joined the walk up wait list which said it would 35 minutes and then went towards the quick service area and we figured if we got hungry, we would just get something there. 5 minutes later we get a text that our table was ready and had to start walking back to the restaurant and then were taken to our table and the restaurant was half empty so they had plenty of seats and there was no need for the theatrics of the wait, they just do it to seem like it's somewhere people want to go and eat so you make a reservation in the future. The atmosphere is nice and very will decorated and they had someone playing live music on a guitar. Our server was also very polite and she even remembered to bring my drink without over where most places forget that. She even noticed I needed a refill before I asked and they even have the better quality recyclable draws rather than the paper ones Disney had everywhere that you end up eating with your drink. My wife even liked trying the flight of margarita she ordered (although she only really finished one of them) Unfortunately that's where the good stuff to mention about the restaurant stop. I always tend to watch if they will bring you water when you sit down as that is generally a sign of a good restaurant. Here they did not. The food was meh, nothing I'd recommend to anyone. Nothing bad, just not worth it, especially since they are quite pricey. From the appetizers all the way to the dessert, nothing worth ordering again. I think the quick service had better quality food and is a cheaper option. I'd probably do that unless you really want the sit down experience. Not a place to go back to. read more

Due to poor planning and a 40 min bus ride from MK, I arrived at 7:20pm on a Tuesday hoping to get bar seating. The hostess said there was no availability and it would be a 50 min wait. I noticed a sign to order to go & I happened to be staying at Coronado. She called the manager who had to approve the order and then took the sign away after we stepped aside. My guess is they were too busy for to go orders as well. $40 braised short rib over chipotle sweet potato mash, Brussel sprouts & a mole demi glaze was what my friend and I both ordered. When the food came I thought it was just one because the bag did not look over full in weight. It was in fact 2 dishes worth. After I cut off 3 tablespoons of fat, the actual shirt rib was delicious and tender. I hd forgotten about the mole demi glaze which grazed the less than al dente brussels. The potato mash couldn't have been more than a few teaspoons as well. Manager was nice & accommodating, hostess seemed... stressed, food was good but definitely not worth the money. The few times I have been here, I have really enjoyed our meal. I really liked the fish tacos, and highly recommend the queso to start. I am not a huge margarita fan, but the mood struck me, so I tried one, and it was delicious. The staff here is all very friendly and it honestly has a nice ambiance. Lots of windows that look out onto the resort, and a couple of times that I was there, they had great live music! It is easy to get a reservation through the Disney app, even the day of. Not sure about walking in. But each time we had a reservation, we were seated very quickly. read more

I am glad Coronado has a table service option- this property is so large you need a place to eat. And of course the legendary Disney service! They have a wonderful adult drink selection. I had the marg flight and it was good. The meal quality was not my favorite. I was starving so I ate it all quickly after a day of conferences at the convention hall. Typical Disney. You check-in's and are forced to give phone number and wait even if restaurant is empty. Unlike any other Mexican restaurant on the planet - you have to pay $8 for chips and salsa. Tuna app was excellent. Queso was beyond bland. Chicken fajitas were actually amazing. Fish tacos were abysmal, soaked in grease and more breading than fish. (They took off bill). Only 2 Mexican beers at Mexican restaurant was a bit odd and no amber/dark beer. Jalapeño margarita and el Fuego drink were excellent. No hot salsa - they offered Tapatio as hot sauce. We've lived here for nine years and turns out we've been sleeping on Maya Grill in all that time. We finally decided to come and we will absolutely be back. Wow! We were blown away by the flavors here. We started with the chicken tinga flautas. They are served under a pile of toppings including lettuce, cheese, corn, pico de gallo & chipotle sauce. They were crispy and flavorful. Portion size was a little small but they were so good. We decided to order the Maya Grill Parrillada to share for two of us. The quantity of food easily could have served three. It comes with steak, chicken, shrimp, corn, rice, peppers & onions, tortillas, cheese, pjco, sour cream, and the shrimp are covered in a chimichurri sauce. The corn has a chipotle sauce (the same one with the flautas), that I asked for more of because it had such delicious spicy sweet flavor. This dish reminded me of fajitas in that you used tortillas to contain all the ingredients into one bite. All the proteins were perfectly cooked and I was obsessed with the corn & how much flavor it had. We had so much food I got to take leftovers home. For dessert we got the churro spirals. Also so tasty, the churros were perfectly cooked with crispy outside and soft inside, a yummy caramel sauce and some strawberries. We were absolutely stuffed after this. The vibes are immaculate. I ordered the fish tacos with the seasoned fries. The fries were tough and required more chewing than I am accustomed to. The flavor was okay but not exquisite. I only ate three of the six fries. In contrast, the fish tacos were very good with just the right blend of spice and sauce. The cabbage was crisp and the fish was flavorful. The ambiance of the restaurant was enchanting with engaging acoustic music and Mayan themed wall decor. My server was polite and checked to make sure I was enjoying my meal. Fantastic meal at Coronado Springs. I am not used to theme park food being so good, but fantastic service from Alexmar from Venezuela! She was so attentive and sweet to all of her tables. I ordered the steak fajitas, and it was a TON! No appetizer needed! I ordered plantains to go with and it was overload! My El Matador cocktail was very good, but a bit heartburn inducing (my own fault). Overall, great experience! Live music also was a plus! read more

Our dinner at Maya Grill was fine. Being in Florida, I expected more out of the Mexican/Tex Mex cuisine, but it was pretty underwhelming, especially at the price point. We started with the guacamole (Fresh Diced Strawberries with House-made Crispy Tortilla Chips, $13) which was good. I wasn't sure that strawberries would go well with it, but it was quite tasty! We also did the Chips and Salsa with queso blanco (House Made Crispy Tortilla Chips with freshly prepared Pico de Gallo $10, add Mexican White Queso Blanco $3). For my main course, I did the Baja Fish Tacos (Tempura Battered Cod, Shredded Cabbage, Chipotle Lime Aioli, Pineapple Relish, Lime, Tajin, Flour Tortillas, served with Esquites, $25) which were fine, but would cost $15 at a non-Disney restaurant. Nothing really stood out about it, but it was decent. All in all, I would say it wasn't a bad option if you wanted to eat at the Coronado Springs, but it was a bit pricy for the quality. read more

We stayed at the Grand Destino tower at Coronado Springs for a family vacation recently. On our first day, after a long day of traveling, we decided to stay on hotel property for dinner. We really enjoyed Maya Grill. The service was fantastic and the food was flavorful and delicious. It's a nicely decorated restaurant and there was a live guitar player at the entrance throughout our meal. I had the chicken enchiladas suizas, plus I ordered the chips and salsa for the table. (I knocked off one star for having to pay for chips and salsa). The chips were fresh, the salsas were flavorful, and the chicken enchiladas were amazing. They were topped with fried onions and a DELICIOUS sauce. They came with a side of plátanos which were cooked perfectly. My dad ordered the chicken fajitas which he enjoyed. If we stay at this hotel in the future, we would definitely dine here again. read more

we made a reservation and had dinner here our first night in disney. the waitress was great and super funny! i started with the tortilla soup and it was really cool how it was delivered! taste wasn't the best i have had but pretty good. 7/10. for dinner we got the maya grill parrillada and it was delicious!!! it came with shrimp, chicken, and steak. the shrimp was the best by far! they had so much flavor and chimmichuri drizzled on top. my tip is to order the steak rare for the perfect amount of pink (it is skirt steak and can overcook so easy so order more rare than you think). 10/10 would for sure get again! we had rice, dip plate, and tortillas on the side as well. read more

I wish they kept the old menu. Last year in may of 2023 they had such a good menu. The chicken was so good. I demolished my plate and i rarely ever eat like that. Usually I'm a half plate leftover person. I left no crumbs. But sadly they changed the menu and removed some of the better items. It's more of a basic Mexican menu. Sometimes it's fantastic, other times it is so salty. Last visit my food was too salty i could barely eat it. But since we stay at coronado often, i also have had alot of really great meals here. I love the vibes of the live guitar player while you're eating. It is so enchanting. We love the atmosphere and vibes here that even though we have had not so great food experiences we still come back. The churros, guacamole, and corn are always good and go to's and have thankfully stayed consistent throughout our visits. The service is always great and true to disney standards. read more

When I was here the night before, I saw that they had a tequila flight option on their menu. There were 3 different drinks, which included a spicy strawberry, a prickly pear, I think, and a purple/pink drink. For it being around $35, they say it's premium tequila that they use, and they give you a lot of alcohol with each drink. But that could also be a negative in that the drinks were not balanced at all. The spicy strawberry one tasted like pure alcohol. So very bitter and off-putting. The prickly pear one tasted like water. And the purple/pink one which I forger what fruit it was made out of actually was the most palatable one. And based on how off-putting it was, you can tell the tequila was not premium. It tasted way nasty and not worth the $35 I paid for it. Only nice thing about this experience is that you can take the flight to go, and they just pour them into plastic cups for you to go, so that's cool. The guy at the front said it's a newer menu item, but yea... you guys got a lot of work ahead of you in this regard. read more

Made reservations for dinner here because we didn't feel like leaving the hotel. We arrived and there was a man playing live music on the guitar in the restaurant - loved this !! We were seated and our server came out quickly. For an appetizer we ordered the Queso Fundido. It came out in a little cast iron dish with bubbly cheese and flour tortillas for dipping. For dinner we ordered the chicken fajitas and the tortillas were very tiny but there was plenty of chicken, peppers, onions, cheese and sour cream. They were very good and filling. For dessert we ordered the Fried Churro Ice Cream and the Pastel de Tres-leche. Both were very good. During our stay at Disney's Coronado Springs we decided to make reservations at one of their restaurants the Maya Grill. Located near the Mercado section of the resort we heard mixed reviews about it but after reviewing the menu we decided to give it a try. We ordered two appetizers the first being their queso fundido which consisted of two types of melted cheese topped with pico de gallo and cilantro. It was delicious, the cheese was nice and gooey and it went well with the warm tortillas. The second dish was the ahi tuna tostada which was bursting with flavors and contained very fresh chunks of ahi tuna. For the main entree my wife and I ordered the Maya Grill Parrillada which consisted of skirt steak, grilled chicken and shrimp. All the meats were perfectly grilled and very flavorful and filling. The side included was their cilantro rice which complimented the meats very well. Our choice for dessert was their cinnamon churros with ice cream which had the right texture and sweetness. I am glad that this meal exceeded our expectations and would recommend it to anyone interested in a meal with a Latin flair. read more

After a day of traveling and arriving to the lovely Coronado Springs Resort in Walt Disney World we came here for our dinner reservations. I had read mixed reviews about this place, but overall I wasn't displeased with my experience at all. The restaurant is located in the main building on the resort. I loved the atmosphere and Mexican style of decor. It added so much to the ambiance and overall experience. Along with the lovely decor, the live Spanish styled music that was playing was also a great touch to our dinner. We arrived a little early, we did make reservations and I would highly recommend doing so, as for any other restaurant in Disney. We had a little wait before we were seated as they prepared our table. The restaurant was very clean. Our waiter was super friendly and served us waters. My mom ordered a margarita and was very pleased with it. She loves the margaritas at Disney and always compliments them on their fresh, quality taste. We didn't order an appetizer. I had read reviews that the portions were plentiful. For our entree, I ordered the chicken fajita skillet and my mother ordered the fish tacos. The chicken fajita skillet was large and easily could have been shared. It came with grilled chicken breast, refried black beans, plantain rice, fresh guacamole, pico de galo, sour cream, sautéed peppers and onions, and warm tortillas. The portion of chicken was generous and the vegetables were really flavorful. The rice was so soft, not dry at all, and the plantains added a nice sweetness to it! The beans were also outstanding and had a ton of flavor. I was more than pleased with the fajitas and I would highly recommend ordering them. For the price, I thought it was a reasonable as well. My mother enjoyed her baja fish tacos. They included fried cod, with a pineapple relish, cabbage, chipotle aioli, and was served with a side of esquites (Mexican street corn). She liked the pineapple relish and noted it added a lot of flavor to the tacos. She usually doesn't care for fried fish tacos and prefers grilled ones, but she enjoyed her meal a lot! Both of us left pleased and happy with our experience here. Wouldn't say it's the best food at Disney by any means, but it certainly isn't the worst and beats the quick service meals any day. If you want a nice tex-mex inspired meal while staying at Coronado or Disney for that matter, I would recommend checking this place out. Not an upscale restaurant, good for families. read more

It took us around 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our food, the waitress was overly apologetic for this, however it was a little frustrating to be waiting so long. The food was good. I was so surprised at how great this meal was this week! We were bored with all of our normal Disney restaurants so we branched out and visited Coronado Springs to eat here. The host was so nice and even walked over to tell us he knew we'd checked in online and it wouldn't be too long. Alex was our waitress from Venezuela and was just fantastic! We ordered the salsa trio with guacamole and honestly the guacamole was some of the best! For entrees we had the fish tacos with awesome yuca fries, enchiladas, and a chicken quesadilla. Every bite was outstanding and flavorful. One of our best Disney meals and we've eaten at a ton of places since we go multiple times a year. Can't wait until November to try it again! read more

We had dinner here twice and both times were pretty darn good. The meat was so flavorful and tender. The portions are large so we split the main course both nights and were plenty full. I thought the prices were very reasonable given its in a mid level Disney resort. We were on a progressive dinner crawl within the resort and this was our last stop so this was our main course only. Tonight we got the bone in Ribeye for 2. When it first came out it was undercooked so we sent it back. The second try was better and was a passable medium rare. Flavors were really good. Seare on the steak was nice. Nice mexican, smokey flavors. The sides that came with it were corn and broccolini I think, but the best were the poblano potatoes au gratin. Delicious! lots of cheesy goodness. Our server was ready to go home and it showed so that was a little disappointing but she did take care of the refire and gave us more potatoes. Over all the meal was OK but were were honestly not blown away with any of the food we had while staying at the Coronado resort but there is a lot more to try! read more
