spaghetti alle vongole (clams)
Lizzie Y.

We were craving pasta & Italian cuisine, as we were strolling the streets after visiting the Musée du Louvre. We ended up around this neighborhood and deciding to try Pompei! Pompei is located in what seems like more quiet, secluded neighborhood with other small restaurants & fruit stand/convenience store. The restaurant definitely started to fill up their seats by the time we got to ordering our food, so they definitely get busy. Pompei has both outdoor & indoor seating available. They have two floors of seating, with the bathroom on the second floor & bar area on the first floor. The staff was very kind & helpful with explaining the menu & elaborated with us about their specials they had today. What we ordered: -capricciosa €18 -spaghetti alle vongole €24 -tagliatelles aux Noix de saint Jacques (x2) €25 -spaghetti with prawns €29 - white wine with berries (I believe) €5 & 2 cokes €5.50/each Total: €137 Spaghetti with prawns is not on the menu, but today they unfortunately ran out of meat for the fettuccine bolognese & asked if we'd like to try anything else. We opted for spaghetti with prawns, which ended up being €29. All of our orders included some form of seafood & tasted light, while still seasoned nicely & fresh. My favorite was the dish I had, spaghetti alle vongole. It was steaming hot & had sweet notes from the clams. We also decided to order the capricciosa pizza halfway through our meal because we noticed pizza is very popular here & every table next to us had ordered at least two pizzas. The pizza was bomb! Very tasty. I would totally come here again and recommend Pompei to anyone looking for delicious Italian food, while in Paris!

Amazing food and friendly service! My pizza was delicious and my husband loved his fettuccine bolognese. Owner speaks English and is very welcoming.

While in Paris I was craving Italian food and this restaurant was recommended to me by my cousin who comes here a lot. SURPRISE - their menu is somewhat English for any non French speakers...so that would help a tourist a ton! This restaurant seems like a mom and pop type of family restaurant so that is already a great plus. It's on a corner and inside has a two story seating, which is pretty small on both levels, so I can imagine it can get crazy packed and tight! It's about 15 minutes walking from the famous Champs-Élysées street. I ordered a margarita pizza, mushroom pizza, gamberoni shrimp, and rigatoni, and last but not least..a tiramasu. The pizzas were absolutely delightful, they tasted delicious and so light and fluffy. They definitely make them with great ingredients and brick oven. The grilled shrimp was perfectly cooked and had a great flavor to it, and finally the rigatoni had some great authentic flavor to it. Overall, I'd absolutely come back here again! If you're craving Italian food, or a great pizza..this is definitely a spot to swing by and try.

Pizza diavola

I came here last minute and it was absolutely delicious. Run by Italians which explains why everything tasted just like I was back in Italy. I had the caprese and the diavola pizza which were perfectly done - authentic Italian pizza (which is often not the case in Paris). All of the pastas rolling by looked amazing as well. The staff were very friendly and welcoming to all comers. I was able to walk in right at noon with no reservation but it definitely started to fill up around 12:30. Will be back!

Bruschetta!!! SO good! And add a little balsamic.. delish!

Absolutely Amazing! While visiting Paris we stumbled upon this restaurant and it was the highlight of our trip! I'm talking so good that we ate here 3 nights! Lol The bruschetta was so fresh and tasty! But what really stole the show was the lasagna! Truly the best lasagna any of us had ever had! Also amazing fettuccine, gnocchi, and daily specials! Drinks were great! Their house wine was delish!!! And their mixed drinks were nice and strong! They also gave a pitcher of water for the table which was really nice as everywhere else we went in Paris only gave small glasses of water at a time. Not something we were use to. As for the staff!! Wow I can't say enough!!! They really do treat you like family. They spoke decent English and were extremely kind! Laughing and joking with us, remembering us when we came back! The atmosphere is also a unique experience. Downstairs tables can be reserved and are like a normal restaurant. The upstairs is more "family style". Some individual tables and some long tables that may have multiple families. If we didn't have plans already set in stone we would have ate here every night on our trip!! Wish they would branch out to the US!!! Until then, looks like we'll just have to come back to Paris to enjoy the best food ever!

My first Restoran in Paris is really good. Whoever likes Italian food I recommend this place

Pasta and pizza.... fantastic

Great service! Inside or outside dining. It's a bit out of our way, but we will return. Excellent pizza and freshly made pasta make it worth the trip.

Dropped in while in Paris. While out and about looking for authentic Italian, I found this gem. Truly made me feel like I was in Southern Italy. If you want the home feel of a small roadside, family owned Italian café, this should be a stop for you.

I'm not going to be long winded. It's a great spot. Great food. Fair prices. Great staff. Most excellent pizza. I was a fine choice to stop.

This place is a hidden jem, in the hustle and bustle of the center of Paris. A few blocks away from the Galleries Layfette on a quiet side street you can experience great service, inexpensive quality food with an Italian twist. I had the prefix 25 Eruos gets you an Appetizer I had Caprese, a glass of wine and an entre, I had the Veal. The food was outstanding

What a great meal we had here! This place was a great find - just a short walk from our hotel. We got there right when they opened at 7pm and walked in to staff speaking Italian, which instantly put me at ease as my Italian is much better than my French. It felt like we were dining in someone's family kitchen. Staff was super friendly and helpful and food was delivered promptly. Our meal was delicious, both entrees and dessert. I loved my bolognese pasta and the creme brulee. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting Paris. It's a small place but they have an upstairs seating area as well. This was our last dinner in Paris and it was excellent. The place was pretty busy by the time we left so I recommend going early, right when they open.

Fresh fast and charming. We had two meals here during our Paris trip and all our entrees were delicious. The tiramisu is the best ever.

We ordered the 3-cheese pizza, and it was fantastic--hot, fresh, cheesy, and full of flavor. We also shared an order of mozzarella sticks, which were traditional and exactly what you'd expect: crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. A cold Pepsi was especially refreshing after walking around in the summer heat. The indoor seating provided a comfortable break from the weather, and the service was friendly and welcoming. If you're looking for a casual place to cool off, grab a quick bite, and recharge while exploring Paris, Café di Roma is a solid choice.

Today I had a bad experience, I ordered the food and at the moment I had to pay it was showing one price. After paying the waiter gave himself a 12 euros tip for a 48 euro meal. I don't mind giving if the service was good but giving it to himself without asking and denying to give the receipt is unacceptable!. After he was lying it was implemented by the company and saying it was only 12 euros, this waiter should get fired for scamming people using the restaurant as a cover up. DONT GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET YOUR MONEY STOLEN.

When we told the server that there was a rat all he said was "this is Paris" we asked if he could move it and he said "no, this is Paris don't worry." If it was just Paris we wouldn't have had other parisians in the restaurant being freaked out about. I get it we are Americans and aren't used to it, but not even putting the rat outside after we asked them to is awful. We stayed at the restaurant although we shouldn't have. The food took an hour and a half to come out, and the server was pretty awful. Typical for Paris but even worse than usual. The prices were outrageous and the food did not taste good whatsoever. Highly don't recommend this place if you value a good atmosphere without eating next to rats.

We loved the service, attentive, friendly, answering lots of questions. Good wine list. Overall, somewhat expensive, but it's Paris. The carpaccio of beef was great as was the spinach ravioli with truffles. The only "miss" here was that the black truffles seemed to lack power and flavor which they sometimes do. I am not a truffle expert, but sometimes they pack a lot of very good punch and sometimes you can barely taste them, and in this case it was the latter. Feel like we got head-faked into the truffle menu and might have been better off on the regular one. Suggest: smell the truffles when they show them to you and if it's not fairly overpowering, then don't order. The bellinis were fanastic on the other hand. Overall, I'd definitely come back if I want a fancy Italian meal not far from the Champs Elyseees.
