I first brought in my old Nissan Murano here (over 150k miles) and although this car needed a lot of work (like all the time), Mavis proved to be one of the most trustworthy and transparent shops in the area. Then I got a Jeep (also over 150k miles), where it came with less problems but also was serviced by Mavis because of my good experience with them back when I had the Murano. Fast forward to today and I have a brand new car with no issues. I service it at the Honda Dealership for the most part but when I got a screw lodged up in the tire recently, I decided to pay my pals over at Mavis a visit, where they were very helpful and efficient. They had me in and out of there quickly and were just as awesome as I remembered them.

I don't normally write reviews for places. However, I found this place online and went to it…read morebecause the reviews were high. I'm new to Rockland and had no prior experience at mechanics around the area. When I saw the great reviews for this place I decided I have to go to this one even though there were 10 other mechanics closer to my house. As a young college student who doesn't know ANYTHING about cars and hates having to go to mechanics, I was able to feel at ease both times I went to this place. The staff is super friendly, funny, and informative. I went back a second time to fix something else in my car and they remembered me right away which I thought was wonderful. I saved $$$ both times I went and didn't feel like I was getting scammed into overpaying for service. Safe to say that I have found my go to place to go to for my car. I hope this review helps someone as much as all the others helped me when deciding to come here :)

I went to Josh after my previous mechanic told me I needed to replace my entire instrument cluster…read more All the lights on my dashboard were flashing like a haunted house. Josh found that "weird" and decided to take a closer look. He quickly identified the actual part causing the issue--don't ask me the name, I'm not a car girl!--and replaced it. Now my dash works perfectly. If I had gone with the original advice, I would have spent thousands on a new cluster and still had the same problem. Josh saved me a ton of money and fixed the real issue. Highly recommend!
