I don't normally write reviews for places. However, I found this place online and went to it because the reviews were high. I'm new to Rockland and had no prior experience at mechanics around the area. When I saw the great reviews for this place I decided I have to go to this one even though there were 10 other mechanics closer to my house. As a young college student who doesn't know ANYTHING about cars and hates having to go to mechanics, I was able to feel at ease both times I went to this place. The staff is super friendly, funny, and informative. I went back a second time to fix something else in my car and they remembered me right away which I thought was wonderful. I saved $$$ both times I went and didn't feel like I was getting scammed into overpaying for service. Safe to say that I have found my go to place to go to for my car. If you're a business, or anyone, who offers a coupon to bring business is and then sucks at business you should rethink your philosophy. They're one and only strike was used on this. I have been going for the service of 5 of my vehicles to this place. However last week I had taken my 2012 Toyota Sienna van for a condition since the van kept vibrating at speeds above 60 mph. The owner Ish said that it was a defective solenoid and also asked me to change all the spark plugs. They charged me over $ 800. As I was going on a vacation with my wife and four children, we started noticing the same conditions continue. I called Ish and he said that it was safe to drive. We drove over 800 miles with the same vibration conditions. When I took the van in on Tuesday May 31, 2022 Wasim the brother of Ish indicated that the problem was due to two bad tires in the back that had worn out and we were close to a blow out of the two rear tires. We had just replaced the two front tires on this 2012 Toyota Sienna van just a week back and I was shocked to see how negligent the brothers Wasim and Ish were with the way they fixed my vehicles. I was surprised why they would not replace the two rear tires when they were so worn out. The work was performed by the owner Ish and I was shocked how negligent he was towards the safety of me and my family. I also had three other cars with only the front two tires replaced. I took the damaged tires and also showed the tires of the other vehicles replaced by Spring Valley Auto. All of them now need new tires as well as wheel balancing and alignment work. The auto repair shop that I took it to in West Nyack, Alexander Brothers Auto Repairs were surprised and shocked how a auto mechanic could do such a sloppy, risky and dangerous work. The blow out of the tires while we were driving on the highway would have resulted in the death of me and my family or serious injuries from a very bad accident. I am requesting everyone that uses Spring Valley Auto not to trust what the owners Wasim and Ish say. They could be putting your life and your families life in danger. Feel free to contact me if you need any clarifications. Right now I am filing cases with the NYS DMV as well as with the local courts for negligence and fraud. I will be also suing them personally for the risk that my family was put in. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE CROOKED PEOPLE FOR YOUR AUTO REPAIR WORKS!!!!! The main guy Wassem was so helpful, and as a female, made me feel comfortable that he wasn't going to take advantage of me. I had to wait for a little because they were backed up but they apologized and worked on my car as soon as they could. They have great prices! Stopped in when my car's EPC light came on, followed by the check engine light. I'd already checked oil, released oil tank pressure which are first-response tactics to an EPC read. They did not seem to know to do that first - but they promptly ran the OBDII scanner for free and were upfront about the situation, which was essentially that to determine the actual problem they would likely need a fair amount to root around under the hood, and that it was unlikely they'd have a replacement part in stock if/when they did determine the specific cause. Fair and honest, which I appreciate, though apparently not readily equipped to handle anything other than very minor work. A quick googling of my car's issue leads me to believe it's a simple enough fix for a capable mechanic. Bottom line, good place to stop in for a checkup/minor work - as honest folks seem to be rare in this arena - but not recommended if you are in need of repair work on a short schedule. read more

Please stay away from this place, they don't know what they're doing. They hired a bunch of kids who just graduate and don't know much about cars. I dropped my Bmw for brake booster and vacuum pump replacement. When I came to pick up the car, wassim told me that they don't know how to replace the vacuum pump but they just changed the brake booster. 3 minutes after I left the place my whole brake system lock and I couldn't drive the car.
