Went yesterday , Friday 1/24/25 to have 4 tires mounted, balanced and installed on my new car with 7,200 miles on it. I replaced the tires with All Season tires because the tires that came on the car were Summer Only tires. Met Louis, confirmed that the tires were the correct ones though they were old and looked it, full of cob webs and very dirty, date coded 2323 meaning they were made in the 23rd week of 2023 which means they are a year and a half old. Next I asked if they have the latest tire machines because the factory rims are aluminum and powder coated. I was told yes. Well 1 1/2 hours later they backed the car out of the shop, parked it and I paid the bill only to find once I inspected their work, every wheel had damaged, chips to powder coating, one wheel had a very noticeable gouge in the powder coating across the face of one of the spokes of the wheel. I asked Louis what he was going to do about it and he said "we can have the wheel recondition". There's no recondition that fixes this wheel or the others, they need to be stripped and repowder coated. I told louis I would find out who can do it and let him know. Once home, I further inspected their work and found more issues. When they put the rim on the tire machine, rather than clamping it by the bead of the wheel, they clamped it inside the wheel damaging the black powder coated drum of the wheel, leaving depressions in 4 spots all around the circumference of the wheels from the steel teeth on the tire machine. Further these new tires are an asymmetrical design meaning there is an inside and outside face, marked on the tire from the manufacturer. One tire was installed backwards, inside face was on the outside. Today, Saturday 1/25/25 I go back, see Louis and tell him one tire is mounted backwards. I also tell him they further damaged the drum of every wheel by the way they clamped the wheel on the machine. His response was "do you want to take it somewhere else" to which I replied, NO, I paid you $1,300 and want you to fix your F up and make sure you don't damage the rim any further. I also said, the tech that installed these tires either doesn't know what he's doing or doesn't care Louis then drove the car into the shop and they dismounted the one tire/wheel and remounted it correctly. About 1 hour later it was done and I left. Once home, again I checked this wheel only to find that they AGAIN clamped the wheel on the inside, leaving another set of 4 depressions in the aluminum drum. Incompetence and deplorable customer service that should result in someone being fired! My advice to all that are reading is don't consider this location or Mavis at all for tires if your car has aluminum wheels as do most today. Their service and skill level is barely acceptable for a daily driver beater car or work truck, certainly not a for new vehicle, one with factory/OEM performance wheels and tires. Last to the "business owner" do not reply here telling me you apologize along with the standard bs reply to poor reviews. I will not call you, YOU call me, you have my phone number! The only way this goes away is you pay for all four of my wheels to be repaired by the vendor of my choice or replaced with brand new wheels from GM!

Absolutely horrible customer service. Part 1: Thursday afternoon I called ahead to see if the place was busy. The operator said no... we are not busy at all, come in. I get there thinking that my car would be serviced right away. That was not the case. I asked the person at the front desk what was taking so long and they said to me "can't you see we are busy" I said but I just called 10 min before showing up and who ever picked up the phone said that you were not busy, and come right in. Then he says.... you didn't call our store, when you call it goes to our call center and they have no idea if we are busy or not. So basically they lied to me to get me in the door. Part2 I come here at 8:45 Sunday morning and I am the 3rd person waiting on line outside. I have now been waiting here now for over 1 hour and a half and I see people at least 4-5 customers getting their cars in serviced ahead of me.... I asked if my car is done. The lady at the desk says "do you still see your car outside" (in frustration) so.... to be clear their waiting area has a wall that blocks the view of the cars outside so I have no idea if my car was done or not. -if I ask you a question, give me the damn answer. Don't ask me a question that you should have a answer for. I did not come here for your sarcasm!!!! This place is a complete joke. Part 3: I just heard the service guy at the front desk act like a complete a-hole to a customer. Not for nothing the customer was not an easy customer to speak too, but the way you talk back to your customers was uncalled for. You guys are in the service industry.... learn how to serve. Part 4: I have had my tires done here in the past for my other cars..... all of my past experiences have been mediocre at best. Part 5: I arrived at 8:45 Doors open at 9 on Sunday It's 11 am and I'm still here And me and the person who was 2nd in line are still here while sooooo many other people that came after us are being serviced before us! This is customer service at its finest...... Take your business elsewhere.

I strongly urge anyone considering Nanuet Auto Service to look elsewhere…read more I brought my vehicle here when my usual mechanic was unavailable, expecting a straightforward, minor repair. Instead, Scott misdiagnosed the issue and performed an unnecessary repair that ultimately caused additional damage to my car. Within 24 hours of leaving the service, all of the oil had leaked out due to an incorrectly installed part. As a result, I had to take my car to another mechanic, who was able to properly diagnose and fix the problem--something Scott was unable to do. When I contacted Scott to explain the situation and request a refund, he initially refused. After pressing the issue, he said he would "get back to me," but never did. I made multiple attempts to reach him via phone and text, all of which were ignored. I have still not received a refund and am now pursuing further action to address the damages caused. This was an extremely frustrating and costly experience. I strongly recommend taking your business elsewhere.

Good day Stopped after on my way from a long 12 hrs shift…read moredownstate after gettin a flat on highway Was able to get off and aaa truck came and changed me into my spare . I found this Mavis as I am a loyal Mavis customer in Middletown When i walked in one person was seated the place was quiet I explained that I have a flat in trunk and only Need it fixed and put back on . After taking my key it seemed all Time stopped No one commented that I would be in soon and no one came to get my car to start work for at least 20 minutes . Just silence .' Anyway finally My car was taken in and it seemed that the tech was working on my vehicle was working at a snails pace . Slowly walking Back and forth to get one item at a time Even saw him thru the glass small Talking with his colleagues Giving me , the customer that my service was not paramount to this business . Definitely not the feel I recieve at my regular Mavis in Middletown With no explanation why one tire repair was moving so slowly I saw thru the glass one by one each tire being taken off my car ..... I asked since I specifically only wanted one tire that was off the vehicle repaired and put back On. I was told that this was policy . I had never experienced this for one tire flat repair Since I was the only Customer in the place at early morning I expected to be in and out max 30 min After I asked to have all Tires put immediately back on and only fix my one flat then someone started to explain about this stores policy of a full inspection for a single flat fix ? ??!!!! Like I said I'm a regular Mavis customer who just bought two new tires and I'm that transaction my other two tires were not removed They looked of course at the tire itself and since they were obviously new there was no need to remove I would have appreciated that explanation beforehand so I would have kindly Declined and reiterated that I was in a hurry and only needed the one tire flat plugged ( literally a 10'min labor for the tire itself ) and maybe another 10'min to put it on front wheel. Finally then it seems the tech who started the job disappeared and Someone else Took Over to complete As usual I did give him a tip for his help but still felt that the store needs better communication to the customer at the start of the transaction so we know what to expect . SCAM!! Do not go here! I purchased a tire from this place…read morefive weeks ago and had a tear in the brand new tire. When I brought it to them, the assistant manager Tazjon Brinkley was there and informed me there was nothing they could do, even though clearly they gave me a defective tire. He called the store manager Erik and also said there's nothing they could do nor could they provide a discount to purchase a new tire. The customer service here is disgusting. Mind you I came in with the tear on my tire and they took it to the back and when they brought it back to me, another hole appeared. This place is not to be trusted!
