I first brought in my old Nissan Murano here (over 150k miles) and although this car needed a lot of work (like all the time), Mavis proved to be one of the most trustworthy and transparent shops in the area. Then I got a Jeep (also over 150k miles), where it came with less problems but also was serviced by Mavis because of my good experience with them back when I had the Murano. Fast forward to today and I have a brand new car with no issues. I service it at the Honda Dealership for the most part but when I got a screw lodged up in the tire recently, I decided to pay my pals over at Mavis a visit, where they were very helpful and efficient. They had me in and out of there quickly and were just as awesome as I remembered them.

Now that my wife needed her car inspected I decided to go there again. This time, even though they had no business going on at the time, I was told to make an appointment for 2 hours later so I did. When I did get it done though, the crook charged me $37 for a $10 inspection. The dummy gave me the wrong receipt and I paid cash so I didn't go back for a refund. Guess it's a weekend thing, but was nothing like when I went their last time. I was just charged $10 that time.

Josh found that "weird" and decided to take a closer look. He quickly identified the actual part causing the issue--don't ask me the name, I'm not a car girl!--and replaced it. Now my dash works perfectly. If I had gone with the original advice, I would have spent thousands on a new cluster and still had the same problem. I don't know if there was a line, but I doubt it was long because why bother saying 30 minutes? Perhaps they let other people cut in front of me since I was waiting elsewhere. Whatever the reason is, IF I come back, I'm dropping the car off for the day and leaving it. $30 is a fair price though. So 1 star for the Unprofessionalism. A 2nd star for the price. I'm not rating the actual service because I haven't had any real work done on here. Just a generic oil change which any mechanic can do.
