This company steals vehicles in the middle of the night, and I never once received a notice.

Today was the second time I used the services of Congers Collision and couldn't be more pleased with their performance, service and professionalism. The anticipated wait time was 90 minutes to fix my flat tire, and Congers Collision arrived 60 minutes earlier. The service technician was polite and knew exactly what to do. Warning... I dropped my car off on 7/7/24 they had already test driven the car prior to drop off and knew the car had to go to the dealer, only to find out on 7/10/24 they installed the wrong lower grill. I took a picture of my odometer reading when i left it on 7/7/24, they knew on 7/10/24 what the issue was. my car was in there shop from 7/7/24-7/29/24, nobody was suppose to be driving it, my car had an addition 41 miles, as they went joyriding the entire time. when i arrived unannouced at the shop it took merely 10 minutes to track down the keys , that were suppose to be in the office lock box. The Guilty faces couldnt be anymore evident. To make matters worse I had additional damages on my vehicle that werent there before. Will never consider going back or refer anybody there. On 3/18/22 my Honda Accord at 177k Miles had come in to have a right wheel Ball Joint, Link, and Axel replacement for $500 altogether (parts/labor). On 4/19/23 at 185k miles only 8k miles later, the ball joint came out, ripped the axel. When I contacted congers collision I was told labor is not under warranty and only the part would be. Additionally, since this occured while I was in NJ, my only option would be towing my car to Conger's Collision for their faulty work at my own expense. Then, if they were willing to take any responsibility after looking at the car (made it sound impossible for them to admit to anything being wrong on their end) they would only offer the part for free. Labor and Towing would still be on me. When the accident happened AAA took my car to a Auto Mechanic in Jersey City. I received a call right away that it was the ball joint and axel. They saw my invoice from Congers Collision in the car and said there is no way this should have happened. Congers gave me the runaround and won't do anything about it. I will not be trusting them again with any work on my car. No accountability. read more

If they had negative stars that's what I would select. Needed a Tow and they told me one price and when we got to location the price was more than double! blaming it on wait time that was out of my control due to traffic.. Horrible experience and horrible business. Our car was illegally towed by this company. We tried speaking to them on the phone explaining the situation and provided them with proof. Not only was the receptionist rude she also hung up on us, and several other members of the complex where they illegally towed several cars that morning. They refused to hear it and held our vehicle. This just got worse because after reviewing local laws regarding towing we found that they also overcharged us for storage as well as their incorrect mileage calculation and winching. All this after refusing to accept the proof we had and doing the right thing. In a time like this where everyone is struggling they show just how little they care. Horrible business do not waste your time or money here. We will be taking legal action. They also forced us to arrive with cash only no option to pay credit or debit which is also illegal for a company that offers credit and debit card payment. WOW It's funny the business can respond to my review but not to my proof that they were in the wrong. It's ok I'll be laughing when they have to refund my money along with the other 14 unit owners that were wrongfully towed. You would think after that many complaints something was wrong. No they wanted to make the money they chose that over clear facts and proof. It's all good the small claims suit will be filed. read more

I am SOOO thankful for Nick at Congers Collision. He was SO kind, knowledgeable, and persistent. Our car broke down and I was fearing that it would take sooo long for someone to get to us.. and that at the end, it would lead to a tow. But Nick arrived in 20 minutes and went above and beyond the call of duty. Our car's had multiple issues and two different places we went to told us different things and still had not been able to isolate the exact problem. Nick pretty much tested everything. AND he tightened and cleaned our battery, & gave us some pro tips. He was persistent and knowledgeable in isolating the problem, and did it all with such kindness. It all comes down to honesty. My rear driver's side door was lightly hit with another car's door in a parking lot leaving a dent with no paint damage. Brought it to Congers Collision and was told that even though it was a paintless dent removal, my best option would be for them to order a new door and repaint the entire car to match a new door. I was quoted thousands of dollars. A new door and a full car repaint all for a dent, the size of an acorn, in my door. I quickly declined and used my better judgment and brought my car to a collision center on the same street as Congers Collision and had the dent flawlessly removed for $150 in 45 minutes. Don't let someone fool you into believing that their experience and expertise is correct. Use your judgement. read more

But what I will say is that James of Congers Collision made it so much better! my car broke down on state Route 59 and the tow truck company to pick me up was Congers collision. James had to tell me approximately 1/2 mile based on where I said I wanted to go. When we got there, he explained the location would be close as it is going to be Sunday. I broke down on the on-ramp of the Tappan Zee Bridge in unusually heavy morning rush hour traffic - just about the worst place you can imagine breaking down. Going through AAA and the NYS Thruway Authority, Congers Collision towed my car back to their shop, and said it was likely a malfunctioning alternator and a dead battery (which is what I had feared when my car first broke down). They were able to get me an accurate quote for the new alternator and battery while my car was still being towed to the shop. Once we arrived at the shop, they confirmed that the issue was indeed the alternator, and immediately brought it in for repair. Since the repair would take about 2-3 hours, they offered to have one of their trucks drive me home so that I wouldn't have to wait all that time there. After about 2 1/2 hours, they called to let me know that my car was ready to be picked up. After breaking down on the Tap in terrible morning rush hour traffic, I was driving my car back home by 1 o'clock - not an easy feat, but they pulled it off. They charged a very, very reasonable price as well, both for labor and for the parts. I thought it was going to cost much more when I first broke down. Every single driver is going to break down unexpectedly at some point, and I'm very glad that I wound up at Congers Collision when I did. My son got a flat tire and I went to help him. Neither one of us had ever changed a tire before and we were by the side of the road doing our best to jack the car up. Suddenly a tow truck appeared and stopped and the driver asked if we needed help. We said maybe. He got out of his truck and came to help us finish jacking up the car. He then used his tools to take off the flat and put on the spare. He was on his way home for the night. We are SO grateful for his help! Thank you! He even refused to take any money. Was recently in an accident. Took my car to Congers Collision for an estimate. The shop took the time to explain what needed to be done, how long it would take and provided an estimate on the spot. Brought my car in Monday. It was completed Tuesday afternoon as promised. Body work looks great and the car was washed and detailed on top of it. I got stuck in the snow and was waiting for my step father to arrive to pull me out. at one point there were a few people that pulled over to help me. one of those men who is affiliated with the company decided to call in an accident and for them to come an tow me. at no point was this even told to me. the man was no longer around. Then the tow arrived while my step father was on his way. since I had no idea why he was there, me being naive thought he was just trying to pull me out. but trust me when i tell you no one does anything just to be helpful. he proceeded to lift my car into the flat bed I asked the man how much this would cost he said maybe $95-$150. thats when i told him its okay not to worry because i wasn't going to pay that, especially when I didn't even call to get towed. The man was confused because he said it was called in. again this was one of those gentlemen who called without even consulting me. the man told his manager who also arrived and by that time my car was fully on the flat bed so the manager said "well the car is already on the tow and she's going to have to pay, take her to the office so she can sort it out there:" me being a confused because two grown men were arguing, i got into the truck and arrived at the their company. so this is when it becomes a fucked up situation. when i got into the office the guy at the front desk was actually very nice and understanding of my situation, even he was surprised at the fact that i didn't ask for the fucking service. but his friendly behavior did not last long. Once his manager called him and said that i had to pay the $150 bill he put his foot down and told me "listen a service was provided whether you asked for it or not so that $150 has to be paid" they were obviously not going to let me leave. The man who called for me to get towed was actually there his name is Rico. i confronted him that i never told him i asked for this. not to be ungrateful but this was all about getting money. i told him that now I'm stuck with a $150 bill because of him. he got into his fucking car and left. They would not let me leave until i paid them. they did not care that i was being taken advantage of. they all made it very clear that they completely understood where i was coming from yet they did not give a single fuck, they just wanted their fucking money. they did not try to lower the cost they did not try to do anything. i was towed when the simple solution was to pull me out of the snow. my car was completely fine. this was one of the most uncomfortable and unprofessional situations i have ever been in. they even refused to listen to the man who towed me because even he knew that this was fucked up. he was trying to reason with the manager yet they did not care at all. in conclusion, They can all go fuck themselves. they can use that $150 they took from me and rent a motel room and they can go peg each other. read more

On Little Tor Rd. today (Sunday) I was veered off the road by one of your employees in a flatbed tow truck. Luckily my passenger was able to get a picture of the truck at the traffic light at Hempstead Rd & Little tor. I confronted him at the light and he insisted I call his boss, He repeated it multiple times for me and all the on lookers at the light, Would have been interesting if the tow truck would have hit my car and we would have needed a tow truck, Not the kind of advertisement your company would want!!
