Food is great but I wish they didn't start closing on Mondays and that they didn't start making it so the dinner portions are unavailable before 4pm. Delicious & generous portions. Went last night with my three children & the waitress was friendly and very attentive. Everything we ordered arrived at our table pipping hot & delicious. I haven't been back here in a year so thought I would try it again. I was so disappointed with the entire experience. We never saw our server even though the restaurant was mostly empty. The salad was white and very bland. My eggplant parmigiana had a very off taste and was not edible. The spinach side dish was so unbalanced with the garlic they added to it. It is not hard to make basic good Italian food. They could easily evaluate their dishes and rework their quality. It is about time. read more

A penne for your thoughts... This is the perfect place to bring the family or have a date. The food is so excellent and they give you more than you could possibly eat. My favorite is their chicken Marsala. If you don't like a lot of garlic I would stay away from it. For desert I always get their chocolate lava cake which is to die for. Their pizza is just the same light crispy and always cooked perfectly. I have only ever had one bad experience with the staff where there was confusion with the waitresses on who was taking our table so we sat for a while but when we said something to the hostess the waitress we received stayed very attentive to us. read more

I would never have ended up at this restaurant if I hadn't blown a tire on my boat trailer on the New York State Thruway. This will now become a regular stop for us. Eh. Not too impressed with this place. I too remember when it was Joey's, and despite the larger, lovelier place they've morphed into now as "Pomodoro's", their food and service has declined considerably. The servers are a tad too snippy to suit me - the lowly patron who pays their salaries. They ALL suffer from attitude issues across the board. Everyone I talk to about Pomodoro's agrees that the food is always a hit-or-miss situation here. If the prices weren't as high as they are, I might be willing to tolerate this restaurant-roulette, but for what they're asking for some of their entrees, mediocre is just unacceptable. I ordered their signature "Chicken Theresa", and it was dreadfully tasteless, way too greasy, and the whole wheat pasta I requested was crunchy. No, not classically "al dente", but simply carelessly undercooked and crunchy. Ugh! And don't even get me started on their tomato sauce! For an supposed Italian eatery, they have the worst sauce! It's what we call "raw" - a bitter, hastily put together, mass-produced tomato concoction that no real Italian would feed to their dog. All of their dishes that contain it suffer as a result. You'd think they'd put a tad more care into such a mainstay of that cuisine, but sadly, they don't seem to care. read more

Have been here twice now. The food is just ok. Service can use improvement. The server took our order and cleaned tables before bringing out drinks. Me and my mother both had chicken parm and pasta. Is was way over loaded in sauce and tasted a little old. Pasta had a taste like the water it was boiled with was dirty. On pervious occasions pizza has been good and the soups have been good. If I could give it no stars I would. I ordered a half pepperoni pizza, and when i got there i asked if they could put it in the oven to warm it up. The cashier said it was already cut and could not be done, but not to worry it just came out. Well for a pizza that just cane or pic a got oven the bottom was cold. I got home opened the box and my pizza was orange. I heated it up did my very best to blot the grease off and eat it. How disgusting it was. Food is always good, but tonight the service was horrible. Restaurant wasn't busy. Waitress didn't check on us all meal, didn't ask us if we wanted coffee/dessert, and took over 15 minutes to come back to the table after dropping off the check. Had to go up to the counter to take care of the bill. I've never had service this bad here before. Here's a hint. Treat your guests right. Here's hoping Pomodoros weeds out this bad apple. I've been to Pomodoro's several times, but only for pizza. I like the fact that you can buy slices for lunch. I was just there last month because apparently my brother likes it. Not acidic, not commercial, actually very good home-style "Italian Sunday gravy". My linguine with clam sauce was outright delicious! I've always raved about this place. Food was excellent, prices were great. We USED to go there EVERY Tuesday for dinner. I gotta say I'm not a fan anymore since the new menu. There are items they still carry that are missing for example. Who approved this thing??? First thing you notice is the logo is smaller than the picture of a single pepperoni, who does this? But that's not my beef. As a business person myself I have no problem at all with the price increases but the portions have severely decreased along with it. Last time I was there I ordered my usual buffalo chicken salad which is now approximately $12. I actually was embarrassed for the waitress; I took one look at her and said "wow" that's a significantly smaller piece of chicken!" She was very professional and said that if you wanted another piece of chicken there was an up charge. Now mind you that's on top of the already increase in price they would charge me! My husband and I both agreed that we wouldn't be ordering any more salads there, in fact it's been a few weeks since we've been back if we ever go back at all. Our family of 4 came here spontaneously. We don't live locally, but wanted some pizzeria pizza. We were pleased with the accommodations, very pleasant service and outstanding food. We ordered the grilled chicken panini, Italian chicken delight wrap, buffalo wings, Buffalo chicken pizza and chicken parm. Every single dish was excellent! I work in the same plaza as the restaurant and like others I too remember when it was Joey's and the pizza was excellent. Despite being within walking distance of the restaurant, I haven't eaten there in more than 6 months, if for no other reason but the quality of the food is not consistent. Pizza can either be excellent or lousy depending on who is actually making it and I'm not really up to taking the chance of getting "lousy". Staff seems to be pretty good with the exception of some of the young people that work behind the counter and take your order if your taking something to go. They have obviously not been trained to take considerate and polite care of customers. As far as price goes I think it is a little bit pricey for what it is but not totally out of line. read more

Last time we were at pomodoros we swore we wouldn't be back food was ehh my husband was really disappointed as he ordered some roastbeef hot melt with gravy but what came out was barely any meat on a half a sub roll. And not even a large half, there were few fries and for $9.00 we were completely disappointed, I even emailed them to let them know how disappointed we were, only to not even get a response, well a few months later we decided to give them another shot, why? you ask I have no idea, my prego self was craving eggplant and there are few places to go around here. Well we had to wait over an hour from the time we were seated to the time we got our food. I don't know what the heck was going on but it was ridiculous, we were obviously not a priority to our waiter or the kitchen. We were ready to just walk out.
