Popped into the store, not knowing what to expect. Wife and I were visiting Tucson for the gem show and family. We are gamers, so we thought it'd be fun to check out the local gaming stores. Polyhedron is a wonderful store! The staff are friendly and engaging and have a real passion for games. They stay open late and host a variety of regular game nights. The store has a wide selection of games from TTRPG to board to card. You'll find Pokemon, Magic, DnD, Shadowrun, Star Wars, and much more. And the accessories! They have their own branded products, which I found an excellent business model. On my next visit, I want to come over one evening and play a game with these fun people. read more

From the Manchester location, The local staff that was hired was amazing, but the owners of the chain are slimy scumbags. When buying products there was no access to LGS promos, high value trade ins were shipped off to other locations and and we didn't get shit in return (card wise), and to top it all off y'all stormed in and shut down everything mid day without warning and started loading up product in a U-Haul. Tons of people didn't get the chance to use their store credit they've been saving and the few people that got the notification FROM OTHER STORES that our store was closing its doors y'all only let them pick from what you hadn't packed up yet. I'd definitely tread lightly when buying from, trading into, and supporting these scumbag degenerates. read more

However, the owners came in one day and literallyu kicked everyone out and started loading a Uhaul with the store stock. And just like that, a small towns gaming community was shattered. I moved back to Tucson during the pandemic and was looking for a place to go to get out of the house. I stumbled into Polyhedron to ask about D&D and someone said, "Yes, but have you heard about Shadowrun?" Thankfully I had and took them up on their offer to play the tabletop rpg on future weeks. Everyone was so welcoming and fun! They even spent 4+ hours helping me build my first character! Naturally, I became a regular. Since then, I've learned the store is also a huge hub for Magic the Gathering. I eventually got pulled into it and the community has been really inviting in helping a new player learn to play. Their in-store selection is fantastic for assembling low-budget starter decks and the staff is knowledgeable in taking your gameplay to the next level! Whenever I've stopped in there's always someone to play with. If you're looking for other hobby entertainment, they've got board games in the back, a collection of video games new and old, Pokémon cards, etc... They even had Atari controllers! Definitely drop in if you're looking for anything gaming related at all. If they don't have it, chances are they can get it for you! read more

This is a review for the store that was located in TN. The prices were the highest around. I love playing MTG here, the community was great, but I never bought anything here. CORP came in one day and kicked everyone out and shut it down. Dozens of people had to contact Las Vegas to see about their store credit. It was a total shit show. Local management was great. They never offered promotional material that was supposed to be given for playing or buying product. They later sold it to people, which I'm sure violates WOTC policies. They cheated many people out of box toppers for buying product among other things. I'm sad the community lost a place to gather and play, but I'm happy these scam artists are gone. read more

Really shady and scandalous. Couldn't get into the Lorcana store championship event. Plenty of room and space and was denied. Wondering how employees and owner got to compete, but customers can't. Congrats to the employees family/friend for winning the event. read more

The other day I went to the store with my sister looking for some Pokémon cards for my nephews birthday and the staff helped me find what he needed, but also got some sleeves boxes for his cards. I have been coming to Polyhedron for close to 5 years now, and I have nothing but nice things to say. The community oriented and helpful environment has introduced me to hobbies and strengthened my love for gaming in many new forms. Employees have always been helpful and often knowledgeable. Was on this side of town decided to bring some cards in to trade. online they say open at 12 I come around at 12:10 not open so I decide to wait 12:30 comes along I decide to try again and I check the door only to find out they don't open till 2pm. very sad I highly suggest updating your open times so people don't waist time and the parking was atrocious to get in read more

We had a little trouble finding the store but a quick phone call and we were directed correctly. Don greeted us and was incredibly helpful. Although we were just looking to see what D&D paraphernalia they had, I remembered a board game we had been trying to find. Not only did they have it, but Don offered to teach us how to play! We had some time so we stayed and had a wonderful time learning a new game and making some new friends. They have the largest miniature collection I've seen in a store! MTG/VIDEO GAMES/THE WORKS - Hyped!! Looked at Amazing Discoveries, and Tucson Games and Gadgets in the mall for an emblem token. They both looked at me like I'm crazy because they're not very expensive/worth much and hard to sort. That being said: I went to polyhedron, everything was super organized the owner chris was really nice and new the exact place where the emblem token was. Charged me a low price and took into account the condition of the card, took credit. Fast easy transaction. Well organized. Awesome place to play in magic the gather tournaments, sanctioned events, smash bros tournaments. Just top notch. read more

This place is great... Almost every day the have casual commander starting about 3PM because people just show up and hang out. Like Gamestore's used to be. The have a massive RPG community with games nearly every night in addition to doing board games and supporting the e-gaming community with fighting game tournaments. Everything they sell they also buy and trade a values much higher than the other options in town. Come check the out! read more

First off, I highly recommend Polyhedron Gamestore. As an out of state magic player, I find this place to be the best game store in Tucson and I've been by all of them. The owner is a really nice guy, super personable and a lot fun to chat with. He even stayed open much later than advertised (past midnight) and chatted with me. As a night owl, I love the late hours this place offers. The magic crowd is great, with lots of friendly players that know how to have a good time. Play varies from entry level to top end competitors, so there's a good chance you'll find someone in your skill range to play with. New players are very welcomed and will get advice and deck techs if they seek it. The space seems small but it's decieving, with room for at least 40 players. They have a great selection of magic singles and sealed product as well as sleeves and other card storage. The owner takes trades (at a very fair value) and even has a guy that can do high quality acrylic alters at a very fair price point. Soda fountain and snacks are available, but like any game store, if you stay for half the day be prepared to go out for food. I can't say enough good things about this place. I felt like I walked into my LGS back in Oregon, which was really nice. I was welcomed and got into an EDH game within 2 minutes of walking into the store! This place does things right and 100% deserves your business. I won't go anywhere else in Tucson to play magic, even though this is a 30+ minute drive from my family's house. read more

Polyhedron is where it's at. The lovely bearded gent running the shop really knows his stuff. They have gathered a magical collection of cards if you are in need of sets or specifics and have created a real family/community vibe that game shop fans strive for. They even assisted with shipping a hot board game out to a family member that I was having trouble finding elsewhere! It arrived on time and in great shape. I was in town so checked the place out. Great selection of cards and other games. They were even able to help me out with finding some cards I was looking for. The store staff was very friendly and I was surprised how many players were there during the middle of the day on a weekday! I was able to play some games with the local community, which is always nice. I will definitely be back here when I'm in Tucson! read more

Editing my original 5 star review down to a 2 stars and here is why: I had a ton of fun playing Magic at PG (Polyhedron Gamestore) and the customer service is great but the owner offered to purchase my trade box of Magic cards (not stuff I came in to sell just my box of trade I carry around with me) for store credit and after long deliberation I was just not able to pull the trigger on what he offered. Boy am I glad that I walked away because I was able to secure literally (yes literally) 4x as much store credit from one of the large Magic retailer's website (will go unnamed) and actually still have a big stack of rares left over. I'm still trying to figure out if the owner was just naive to the value of what I had to offer or he was just outright trying to hose me. Maybe I'm jaded but I'm leaning towards trying to hose me. I understand that he has to make a profit but come on bruh. It's a sad day when selling cards to bots on MTGO is a more pleasure and fair experience then it is selling them to real life store owners. read more
