There are numerous GameStop locations in Tucson, and they are all alike. However, what sets this one apart is its customer service. Out of all the other locations, the people here seem to be connected to modern gaming news the most. The location doesn't always have a great variety of games, but that's fine. They are willing to call up the other stores to see if they have it in stock, and can direct you there. Overall, a solid location. read more

Very friendly and helpful staff at this location. I asked about a few holiday sales and even though they were out of stock on the ganes at the site, they looked up to see if any were still available online or at other stores. They also accommodated my really dumb requests without blinking. A used PS4 game I wanted was in the wrong type of case. A DVD case instead of the short blue one. I knew that would've freaked me out if I took it home because it wouldn't have matched the other games next to it. I started getting anxious about buying this game and then started getting anxious about asking for a different case. But the staff said they would absolutely give me what I wanted even though the case I had in my hand was super sweaty from the panic attack. The selection was pretty good. It's a small store but I had a lot of options for purchases. And the guys who worked there were really happy to give me game recommendations based on my preferences. This will definitely be my home Gamestop after I just bought a brand new PS4. Time to catch up on a bunch of games and avoid going outside. I don't like going outside. There's a bunch of weird bugs out there. read more

One of the absolute worst places to go on a hunt for games. This location in particular has some of the worst employees I've ever had the misfortune to meet. On the last visit, while browsing games I was accosted by an artificially enthusiastic employee that repeatedly asked me for assistance even after I had specified to them that I was merely browsing. Seconds later the other employee (keep in mind this is a very small store) decided they would approach me and ask the exact same thing. After I answered them they proceeded to make an already awkward situation completely uncomfortable by a very unwelcome attempt at complimenting my appearance. They then proceeded to make the already uncomfortable situation worse by suddenly deciding to talk to me about the uniqueness of my hair... Prior to this experience I had been to this same store to make a quick purchase. The surly employee checked if I had a Gamestop account to receive their minuscule discount and then explained that there was now another tier of membership that allowed me to receive another minuscule discount. I inquired as to the price of this new discount tier, and when I declined the employee became irritated and rude remarking that it wasn't that bad and I should also preorder two games I had mentioned. When I declined he rushed my checkout and almost forgot to give the initial discount with my GS account then tossed my purchase to me. read more

I was overcharged $30 when i went in to purchase equipment. I returned to the store to try and get it fixed, but when i brought it up they said there was nothing they could do to change it because they "forgot to change the sticker on the box" even though it was their fault I got no money back. When i looked at the box there were three stickers. The first said $99 the second said $99 and the third said $84. Why the hell did I get charged $130, and why couldn't they fix the mistake they made? Joke of a business or maybe just the asshole employee that "helped" me. read more

Was able to get my games within minutes. The two young men at the counter were helpful, and asked if I needed help immediately, and even though I didn't, helped me find my games and get my items that much more promptly. The games were reasonably priced for being out for 5-6 years. The smaller man, the beta of the two, was firm in his maniere. He did not move but rather stayed at his register. His thinning hair and high pitched voice reminds me of a salarian, and preferred to use contemporary terms like "next gen" and even called me "champ" as I bought my items, perhaps indicating a repressed inferiority complex stemming from his historic inability to attract a mate, or, an attempt at a playful, social nickname. Either way, as a loyal customer to Game trader, I may be visiting this location more often to get some used games. read more

Let's face it, Gamestop has a niche clientele. If you're not a gamer (or married to or dating one), you're probably not going to stop in. That's a shame because the guys here are really nice. their customer service is quite good. Every employee is knowledgeable about a wide variety of games and systems and is quite happy to answer your questions. If you're buying or trading in a lot of games, ask about their magazine subscription/discount card combo. It's a really good deal and gets you a year subscription to a rather informative gaming magazine. They always have a sale or a pre-order that you'll probably be interested in, so stop on by. If nothing else, drop in and play demos of new games on any of their in-store systems. read more

I love this Gamestop. Their trading deals are very good and they gave a wide variety of games. I love looking around and taking advantage of their sales and deals on used games. They also do a very good job at finding a game for you or informing you about upcoming games that may interest you. read more

My husband and I went in today needing help with a controller we recently bought. Long story short the assistant manager/ manager Kelsey gave us the best customer service we have seen in a very long time. She went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied and her obvious love and passion for her job and games was a huge plus! Love this Gamestop!! They don't really pressure you with all that "did you pre-order' nonsense that all the others do. Also the guy that works there is really nice and is knowledgeable about most games. He's not a noob like the other clowns I've seen at other Gamestops in Tucson. read more

The employees are really knowledgeable/friendly here, but not all in your face as with other video game stores I've been to. LOTS of used games for relatively cheap, as well as new ones of course. They have a rewards card...though I'm not precisely sure what happens when I use it apart from getting a free monthly gaming magazine which can be entertaining. read more

If I could give this store 0 stars I would. I have lost hundreds of dollars at this store because of a manager giving me incorrect information and lying directly to my face in order to make a sale. They upsell everything here, I've found the same exact games at target and walmart for half the price. So there's that. And then they strongly recommend the Xbox S to me knowing full well that it was reported frequently to have a malfunctioning disk ejector. But of course they tell me this after the fact when I brought it back with the warrantee, trying to replace it. They gave me another one and assured me that this one would work, and told me I didn't need the receipt to return it if necessary. I take it home and in a matter of a less than a week the same piece malfunctioned. At this point I just wanted my money back so I brought the SECOND one back and this time the manager who lied to me wasn't there, and they refused to return me my full amount back even when I spent extra money on a warrantee that she promised me would cover these types of things. Didn't get the money back for my warrantee either. I'm extremely disappointed, never coming back. DO NOT trust their recommendations, do not trust their warranties, and do not come here in general. Save your frustration and money and just go to target. read more

This business is very shady, not only does the manager seem to always be off, he has no clue how to return a phone call. I just found out the playstation I bought from them was stolen, and two weeks ago when I called them on it they said my story sounded like bullshit and they would get back to me on it. A week goes by so I decide to take my report down there and talk to the manager to see if it still sounded like bullshkt to him. He wasnt there, I leave a message for the clown to call me back, he never did. I called to corporate to complain they say they will be calling me back in three days, it's been five now and their telling me to deal with the fool who is always on vacation. Do not buy anything used from these tools cause you just dont know if its stolen property your buying or not. I will never buy from gamestop again and this manager will be lucky if I dont punch him in his facking throat when I do see him. Buying beware this place is very shady business practice read more
