Ordered a whole chicken with plantains, rice. And a side order of chicharrones. The chicken is so tasty. It has great flavor! The chicharrones is crunchy and delicious. The service was quick!

Whole chicken, chicarrones, maduros and tostones.

Ordered the whole chicken with maduros (fried ripe plantains)and tostones (fried green plantains) - with some chicarrones. Chicken and chicarrones were on point - good and tasty. The tostones and maduros were TERRIBLE! I cannot believe they served these - both were sitting around for a while and then refried. Will not get the sides again! Maybe because we ordered take out and they don't give you the fresh stuff. Just don't do the sides! Prices are good and portions are decent. Service was fast but probably because the sides were sitting around...

WOW! This place was great. Food was good and generous portions, couldn't finish it and that's saying a lot for me! Service was friendly and attentive. Great spot for a quick, authentic bite to eat.

Charming. Clean. Delicious aromas. The pork riblettes are masterful. Hot sauce and lime is a must. Rice and beans speak of love in the kitchen. This is momma cooking for everyone.

This place offers an affordable combo which consists of chicken, rice and beans, and potatoes. Everything was deliciously seasoned and enough meal to satisfy your hunger! Small dining space. Friendly staff. Parking available next to the restaurant.

    Chicharron to perfection.

Ok, so this won't seem like much of a review, but it should give you all you need. Dry chiken. Why 5 stars? BEST chicharron. It's perfection at fantastic prices and friendly staff. You're not going for the decor, you're going for the food and the prices. Seriously, go and enjoy, thank me later.

Great customer service, great food and excellent prices!!!! You can always get a deal at this restaurant excellent combos and excellent options. They even added measures for covid safety. This establishment can always get my money. Never a complaint...keep up the good work!!!!

Wow. This place needs Smell-O-Vision to give it justice. We sampled their chicken a couple weeks ago at our block party (one of the neighbors picked up a party serving) and it was excellent. Today I found the place in Dover and ordered two lunch specials - 1/4 white meat chickens, rice, beans, soup, and a thick sliced piece of potato...for $8 each. Wow. So.damn.good. High praise for sure!

Whole chicken and 2 sides for $14.25!!

Chicken is delicious, good portions for a good price. Only downside is that they only take cash. It's 2016 they should update

This is my favorite place in Dover. Their chicken is amazing. Try to order to go the sitting area is small. Limited parking too.

The best kept secret in Dover!…read more My boyfriend and I came here by chance when we were in Dover craving yuca fries, and since then, we've been hooked! We even came here to eat two days in a row once hahah Prices can't be beat, food is high quality deliciousness, and employees are extremely nice. You really get more bang for your buck when you order Bandeja Paisa, Especial de Bandeja, or the Calentado Paisa. They're all a little different but they each come with a variation of your choice of meat (grilled beef, chicken, pork, or chicarron) with rice, beans, egg, and corn patty in addition to whatever makes each dish different. For example: Bandeja Paisa includes grilled beef, chorizo, AND chicharron; Especial de Bandeja includes maduros and a beverage. Those options are all between $9-$12.50 AND the portions are huge!!! Sometimes when we don't want to get a huge platter like the ones listed above, we'll even opt for ordering multiple sides to make our own "platters" lol. I've ordered sides of yuca fries, chorizo, rice, and the Caldo de Costilla (beef rib broth - $4 under the breakfast menu) and be SUPER full at a super cheap price! ALSO! They have the best pink sauce and hot sauce ever. I don't know what it is about it, but it's just sooo good and flavorful. The pink sauce is very garlicy and the hot sauce has a nice kick and a slight vinegar-y taste. Mmm. I can't rave enough about this place. It's a tiny restaurant though so tables are limited (especially with COVID-19 social distancing in place), but if you have a chance to dine in, do it! They also offer take-out. Highly recommend!

Altoque is Spanish for "not cheap." My Colombian coworker brought us here on his recommendation and…read moresaid the arepas are best. We walk in, and the first thing I note is there's no English spoken here, which is honestly not unexpected in Dover. At least the menu is translated. In fairness, everyone else was ordering so I got rushed. While everyone else got arepas, I chose the Hawaiian patacon (plaintain) dish. Price for all dishes was around $15 + tax, which seems high for the size of the arepas but was about right for the patacon. The dish was delicious, the plaintains well fried to hold up the ample portions. As others around the table said, the fries here are nothing special and I agree, which is part of why I picked a dish that didn't include them. Everyone else was getting a drink so I was pressured into guanabana. I prefer tamarind normally, but fresh-mixed guanabana wasn't bad; I just wish I had a way to tell them not to put ice in mine. (At least we're talking 6 cubes and not 30.) Main problem: Very long wait for our food, at least a half hour from our order to when it appeared. Takeouts were getting prepared and sent out as we sat and waited, and our lunch break took over 90 minutes when all was said and done. On a work day. So you will want to call ahead here, not eat in. Not to mention that it's a fairly small interior - it can fit some tables, but our group of 6 took up at least half the capacity. In the end, to cut the wait short, my friendly coworker had to go up and pay for us instead of having the waitperson come by. She's clearly overworked, taking orders from front to back, bringing food from front to back, and managing the whole process. This isn't a bad place if you want to take out dinner, or a lunch that will have leftovers for dinner. But there is comparable food in Dover that's at least this good, portions at least this big, prices lower, waits shorter, and even with more room to sit. So relative to others in the town, I'm capping it at 3 stars.
