The mondongo was tasty and had a good amount of tripe and the right thickness of the broth. I chuckled when I saw the side of banana, but honestly, it made for a good desert. The bandeja paisa brings a litte bit of everything and it all was cooked well. The lengua sudada was very tender and flavorful and the yucca was soft, with the sauce it was in giving it a really good flavor. The res apanada was a bit tough and the breading did not stick on too well, but overall the flavor was good and the breading was crispy which I enjoyed. The best part of it all was the prices. It is very affordable and you will leave full.   The bakery is inexpensive and the items I have tried and good. They do have a large parking lot and it's free. While in the area, you could visit the Slater Mill (they have tours you could sign up for) or visit the public library. One thing to note is that the GPS might bring you to their old location a couple blocks up the street, so do a little bit of research for the address beforehand.

My friends said this restaurant used to be a lot smaller and then they expanded a few years ago, as well. I think there is street parking but I didn't want to have to find it, so I did valet - it's five dollars (plus tip) and they add it onto your bill. For some reason it ended up being $9.06 for our two cars, which I don't understand, but whatever lol. The only tiny nitpicky thing I have to say about this place is that the service was a bit slow. Ceviche Mixto had a milder sourness, making it easy to put in mouth, but it was a bit monotonous, and the scallops were a little mushy. Jaleita was basically a smaller version of Jalea. Arroz con Mariscos was similar to Spanish paella, but it was noticeably more tomato-based in sourness, with a hint of cheese. The rice wasn't too soggy either, making it the best of the three. Lomo Saltado: A classic Peruvian dish, and well-made. The beef is very flavorful, emphasizing the tomato's acidity rather than the soy sauce's saltiness, and the gamey taste was well removed. Needless to say, it was a disappointing start to what was supposed to be a special family evening. Thankfully, a quick call to Aguardente in Fox Point changed everything. The person who answered explained that they weren't taking reservations that evening, but they did have one outdoor table left if we could make it there in time. Despite the challenges of navigating Providence during the World Cup festivities and the Cape Verde Festival in the Fox Point area, we managed to get to the restaurant and secure that last table. We are incredibly grateful to the staff at Aguardente for helping turn our evening around. Our daughter and son-in-law were hoping to enjoy one last dinner with both families before leaving on Monday for a special assignment in South Carolina, and the unexpected closure of our original restaurant had left everyone feeling frustrated and disappointed. The board weirdly came with just half of one small, half rotten strawberry that looked terrible - it would've been better to leave it off. Towards the end of the night, there was so much water on the floor in the hallway that goes to the bathroom and passes the kitchen - I had to walk through it to go to the bathroom, which felt like a safety hazard. My friend was on crutches and wouldn't even try to get over there since we knew she'd slip on all the water. It just looked terrible and was dangerous, so not sure what we going on that there was such a water issue there.
