This is a nice place to relax.

5 star service and an excellent steak burrito. I need to try more items to see if another 2 stars are warranted. I just had a 5 star Mexican experience at Chenchos 2 in Oak Forest so that's my mental benchmark now. The staff was great and there was a peaceful contented vibe here. The burrito was to go, so I need to try the dine in experience before I can add stars. I will definitely return here...and must remember to order a Mexican Coke. That's the best Coke in the world now. Coca Cola. The beverage.

If i can give it 0 stars I would. Don't get me wrong the food is decent. But the service and integrity of this business is sickening. Me and my friends come here on a weekly basis, usually one person covers the tab. After awhile of keeping the receipts we realized they have been charging us an additional $10-$20 every time. They upcharged the price on the food. Tacos are $2.25 but they charged us $3.50 they also charged us an extra $11.50 as a "misc" charge. When I confronted the waiter she grabbed the receipt and scratch it out with pen. We also tipped her $10 cash but she took another $5 from my card. Never coming here again.

Puchuga de pollo asado. The chicken is delicious.

The chicken and steak here are top quality. The chicken is my favorite, and I tend to lean towards the burritos. The burritos are large and high quality - taking me back to the days when the burritos were good in Summit IL. However since those places have gone down in quality in that area, Pollo Negro is my new #1 spot for the best burritos. The dinners and tacos are good as well, and when I see the El Pastor on the spit I'll grab an El Pastor taco as well. Great in-restaurant service, and the pico de gallo they serve with the chips in the restaurant is extremely addictive.

The food here is pretty good. It's clean, and the staff is friendly. The burritos are huge, tacos are great and the fajitas are awesome.

Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I didn't get a chance to try the drinks this time, but they looked amazing. There was a couple there when I arrived, and they told me the drinks were fire, so I'm definitely coming back for that. Overall, I'm really looking forward to coming back again. This spot is so good!

Overall, the experience was solid. The consomé had good flavor, definitely one of the highlights, but felt like it was just missing that one extra layer of richness or spice to really push it over the top. Still, enjoyable. The birria meat was super tender, which we appreciated. Only downside? The cheese. There was a lot of it. Not a dealbreaker, and some folks might love that, but I personally would've liked the meat to shine a bit more instead of being smothered. Chips and queso were solid, and the tacos were satisfying. Cozy little spot near Midway, and the staff was friendly. Would I come back? Yeah, especially for a casual bite if I'm in the area again.

You'll find yourself paying $40 for a drink and $25 for a plate of seafood. It can seem backwards compared to a steak house or what not. The vibes are great on weekends catching a mariachi group coming in offering to play songs for money. And even if you don't pay for play, someone might and you can enjoy a song. I still don't know or even asked if they use fresh water or salt water shrimp. Most places like this use fresh water but charge salt water prices(you just have to ask/hopefully they're honest). The shrimp empanadas were ok. I wouldn't order again. The paella is alright nothing to brag about and very soggy. The champuzon was ok. Some parts of the octopus was really rubbery(as id expect is probably frozen). Oysters just do not smell the best. Overall, not my worse place. I'd say stop by try it. Do not have the highest expectations. Be cautious of what you order in mind of freshness. Sauces/salsas were good.

Great food, great service, and a place I'm always happy to come back to. Highly recommend!
