It is a bit more self-service as you will have to ask for water and napkins. However, the flavor is amazing and is easily one of my favorite spots! I usually get the soy garlic. But I had the ppuring last thing, and it tasted like the sour cream and onion pringle seasoning. Not my favorite since I can't get the flavor out of my mind.

Last time I was in town, I tried ~$100 worth of Pelicana Bayside, which ended up being a solid choice. Everyone loved it. This time, I checked Grubhub, Uber Eats, Google Reviews, and of course Yelp! Don Chicken Little Neck was the closest spot with the best reviews. I also noticed there's a Manhattan location, as well as several NJ locations (Ft Lee, Pal Park, Englewood, etc.), which is usually a good sign. I ordered a Soy Garlic combo (6 wings, 2 drums) + pickled radish for pick up--and yes, the aroma driving home got us salivating so much that we didn't bother reheating and just dug in. An obvious rookie mistake, but it still hit the spot. The drums were HUGE. For anyone new to Don, I highly recommend skipping wings and going straight for drumsticks (more bang for the buck). Next visit, new flavor. Perhaps spicy soy garlic.

It's easily missed if you don't pay attention. There wasn't much pedestrian traffic either. Business is mainly depends on spread of words from returning customers. Right opposite from the cafe is Jmart Chinese grocery store which is convenient. Cafe closes 6 pm daily. Self service. No tips needed. Service: wait staff was very friendly. Food time was quick. Owners stopped by the table and started conversation. It was karaoke time when we walked in. Food: - their milk tea was highly recommended to us. So four of us tried the hot and cold milk tea and hot milk tea / coffee combo. All of them were very rich in flavor and smooth, exactly what a milk tea should be. $4.75 for a 12 oz hot milk tea is reasonable. - French toast with peanut butter: Love the syrup that it came with. It has a distinct refreshing flavor with delighted sweetness. Definitely different from other syrup from other places which is just pure sweetness. Owner told us the syrup was imported from England. Highly recommended! - turnip, fish ball, rice roll: 3 in one bowl. Portion is enough to share - scallion chicken: It was recommended to me also. It was indeed very tender and flavorful. $24 for half a chicken with one quart of soup. Conclusion: will definitely return. Even just stopping by to pick up a flavorful milk tea which is cheaper than a sugary bubble tea.

The staff are always friendly and welcoming. We usually order the scallion chicken over rice, which comes with soup and a salmon salad. The portions are generous, and the meal is very filling for the price. The food is consistently good, the service is pleasant, and it's a great spot for a casual meal.

The crust was perfectly crunchy with a serious kick: crispy, seasoned, and addictive. The spice level was just right: hot enough to tingle without overwhelming. The chicken itself was juicy and tender, not dry or greasy like some fast joints. It tasted fresh, not like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. Sides were standard--nothing to write home about--but the chicken is clearly the star of the show. Service was quick, and the place had a no-frills, get-in-get-out vibe. If you want solid spicy fried chicken with flavor that punches, Tex's hits the mark. Would come back for the crunch and heat alone.

All were moist with good meat flavor and I got them all with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. I should have left the pickles off on all the burgers because it over powered it a bit. TCB less than the others because the pickles chips were smaller. It was also cheaper than the others. I also ordered a fish sandwich. It was pretty good, real fish not processed. A little peppery. They also placed the burger in a box instead of wrapped in paper. This prevented a smushed burger and oily bag. Overall, if I'm too lazy to make my own burger at home I would go here.

We order the family combos regularly when hanging out with friends, and it's great for sharing. The chicken and ribs are both juicy and the combos come with pita bread. Recently we decided to order a whole bbq chicken and rack of ribs with 4 sides. It was around 5:30pm but I was informed that it would take well over 90 minutes in order to fulfill my order. My family and I drive to Bell Blvd to kill time abd when it was time to pick up our Chicken Livers order, I was informed that the bbq ribs were not ready and that they ran out of mac n cheese. My family was famished so I decided to cancel the rack of ribs and go with another whole chicken and instead of the Mac n cheese I opted for another side of broccoli. The. Chicken was delicious as usual but not getting the bbq rack of ribs really left us feeling very disappointed. Fast forward 2 weeks and my family was hankering for bbq chicken and ribs. Instead of ordering ftom Chicken Lovers we opted to order from Danny's Grill. I know there is some history between thje 2 places. I think the owner of Danny's Grill used to be affiliated with Chicken Lovers. DG is on Bell Blvd a few miles south around 73rd ave and is a small place but they crank out tons of delicious bbq chicken, racks of ribs and chicken wings and other yummy food. The best part of it was my order of 2 whole bbq chickens, rack of ribs and 4 sides was ready in about 20 min tops. Plenty of street parking without worrying about getting your car dented by some idiot in the small crammed parking lot out of of Chicken Lovers. Next time you're in the mood for BBQ, check out Danny's Grill and don't forget #2 always works harder than #1!
