I've found Mike to have such a positive and thoughtful presence. Not only does he have a good eye for attention to detail and an ability to do good work quickly, but he doesn't hesitate to give me advice when I'm undecided! These 2 recent images are from my visit yesterday, where I got a Short GelX Almond Cat-eye from Mike while my grandfather received the $50 level pedicure from Selina. He is definitely a character. Very nervous 80+ year old Spanish-speaking man that doesn't trust people, but Selina was kind, patient, and way nicer than she needed to be. This is his second time getting a maintenance trim since he can no longer do it himself and he always leaves feeling like we were treated like royalty! The front attendant V got us comfortably seated immediately and the complimentary drinks/ seasonal candy are always a nice touch. I had some delicious hot tea & even got some cute photos showing off my new nails :) Btw the small cuts on my fingers are from my personal bad habit of pulling and ripping my cuticles. I find getting nails helps me when it's at my worst as I can no longer pick at my skin or nails! Mike was very careful to ensure I wasn't in any pain & completely changed the way I felt about my hands. I hope this set lasts a while! My previous pink coffin set from last year lasted almost full 3 weeks I believe (lots of washing and manual labor as a server). I'm hoping these last the same if not longer now that I work from home! I was also informed that owners changed, as the previous manager bought out the place... sad to see some friends go but I love the change in decor and overall space feels elevated in quality. I arrived on time, but instead of being seen, I was told that they had called me and that I would need to wait until 6:00 PM.( i was at work and they didn't even leave message!) I had cleared my schedule, drove there, and showed up on time and being asked to wait an additional 45 minutes because of their internal issue is unacceptable.(looked like they over booking) This is also not the first time this has happened. On a previous visit, I arrived on time for my appointment only to be told that the technician I booked with "forgot," and I was asked to take another person instead. I understand that mistakes happen, but when scheduling issues repeatedly inconvenience the customer, it shows a lack of respect for people's time. As a paying customer who plans around appointments, I expect better communication and more professional time management. Unfortunately, because this has happened more than once, I'm very hesitant to return.

When I saw Lyndsay's review for Spa Nails, I decided to give them a call and see what their hours were. I talked to Peter on the phone, explained what I was looking for, and he said to come on in at anytime. I headed out a few minutes after the call and prayed that it would be a good experience. All I can say is that Peter was AMAZING! My nails look INCREDIBLE and while he had to remove my old, damaged nails, he did it without any problems. We chatted and chatted the whole time and it was like talking to an old friend. We talked about our kids, he gave me suggestions for places to see and visit in the area, and was just really nice. I feel like I won the lottery with going to Spa Nails and finding the best nail person that I've ever had. Peter is so talented and takes each fill as a challenge. After picking polish and before sitting in the pedicure chairs, we asked if they would be done at the same time. We were told yes. They sat us next to each other, ran our water, and told us to put our feet in. My pedicure was started and my friends was not. My pedicure was completed and my friend's pedicure was not even started. Now granted they had a few customers but we told them we were willing to wait to start so we could be done at the same time. When I was done and my friend was finally started, I asked could I still sit next to them since no one was waiting to get a pedicure and I had to wait on them anyway. I was told no and to move to a manicure station. I don't know if they thought this would make me get a manicure too, but it didn't work. So the whole time my friend was getting their pedicure I was far away, where we had to talk loud to speak to each other. No one ever came in for a pedicure. The seat next to my friend, that I originally was sitting in, stayed available. My feet looked dry, on the top and bottom, before I even left their. My polish was not good. There is polish on my skin and cudical. On top of this, they tried to use the razor thing on my friend's feet. Which is (1) illegal to use in Georgia at a business and (2) not sanitary! I will go to Polished around the corner from here like I originally planned to do in the future. Don't waste you time or money at this place.
