It's the self-proclaimed "Cheese Curd Capital of Iowa" and I believe them, given that the Frankville cheese factory has been out business for many years. And, for good measure, there is a legit-looking coffee bar as well. And, if you've never seen curds being made, check out the viewing room out back. All in all, the experience is very much like visiting the Tilamook cheese factory in Oregon, but on a more personal, less industrial scale; gift shop, coffee, ice cream, cheese and curds - no whey!

One summer I ate every flavor of Gourmet Cooler (vanilla soft-serve in a slushie) that they had. We took our childhood dog here to get baby cones on the regular. It's an enormous, industrial-chic space and is built for events and charter busses. Their patio is dog friendly but you have to come inside to order at the bar after checking in. The food looked decent and the pretzel was ok. Standard, uninspired brewpub food for the most part. Worth noting that their beer list isn't up to date so we missed out on a few barrel aged things they said they had. Basically you have to get there on release day if you want any non-flagship dark beers.
