FedEx Office Print & Ship Center - I happened to be inside of FedEx Office for some time, as I had quite a few items to send back to New York City.

FedEx Office Print & Ship Center

The service at this FedEx Office Print & Ship Center is great! The man who helped me get my things…read moretogether was really helpful!! Though, I must mention that my visit was highly uncomfortable, as there was a customer there who has apparently never seen a Black person before. In her whole life. So, in wonderment and amazement, she stood in one spot and stared at me for the whole of my visit. She just stood there and stared at me. Like a possessed person. Like I am both Eng and Cheng. Like I had a uni-horn protruding from my forehead. Like I had an appendage growing from the small of my back and had glowing, sparkling, glittery skin. Like she really, really, truly had n.e.v.e.r. seen a Black person before, in her entire life. Ever. She burned a whole in the back of my head for, at the very least, 15-20 minutes strong. While her child had no mask. In fact, while she was looking at me she should have been looking for a mask for her child. At the time Alaska had one of the highest Covid-19 patients in ICU rates in the country. Her curiosity about what the Black person in the room was doing was more important than the health of her child. Make it make sense. Welcome to a day in my life.

The store manager Matt set the bar for customer service. I've never had a FedEx employee open the door for me when they see me struggling with all the boxes and then brought the cart in themselves. He was extremely professional and prepared which made my life so much easier. This FedEx office sets the bar. 10/10.

I cannot recommend this Any Town Moving & Delivery enough! Moving a 3,400 sqft. home is an…read moreundertaking, but they did it in a single weekend without a single hitch. The crew was professional, incredibly fast, and handled our belongings with the utmost care. Moving is usually a nightmare, but they made it look easy. If you want a stress-free move, hire these guys! It's worth every penny!

Hired AnyTown moving for our recent move across town (anchorage). Charged $160/hr. Said they'd be…read morethere between 8:30 and 9am. Showed up at 9:30. Moved fast and filled truck (we packed). Then everything went south. Our new home has an angled driveway. The previous owner used a different mover - same exact size truck and they backed it up the driveway without any issue. Any Town decided to go up head first. They lined up and gunned it. Ended up wedged in our driveway. Used some of our landscape boulders to try getting unstuck. After an hour they called a tow company. Meanwhile nothing happened with our move. We didn't get upset. Accidents happen. Eventually they got it unstuck and decided they'd carry all our belongings from the street rather than attempt to drive up like the previous movers had done. Our 2 hour unload turned into a 4+ hour unload. Meanwhile they tell us they've got 2 more jobs to do so they called for help and just before they finished unloading - helpers showed up so they could move on to the next job. We never requested extra "help". They just showed up at the very end - in order to ensure they could finish 2 more jobs that day - not to help us. After all that (before getting bill) my husband felt bad for them getting their truck stuck (not knowing we were going to get walloped) and gave each of their workers a big tip. Then we were given a bill for $1040! Plus a credit card fee! They had given us just a 1 hr credit for all of THEIR issues. They damaged our street. Their tow truck damaged our neighbors yard. They didn't help with reassembling our beds as we had initially requested. They took an entire day instead of a half day - wasting our time. They just wanted to get out of here. When I requested a refund of 1 hour's time they threatened that they'd charge me for the "extra" help they brought in (without our request or approval). Horrible handling of unfortunate situation. The workers were good. The owner was horrible. You can't punish your customer for your mistakes. Next we're filing a small claims action and contacting BBB.
