Cool little UPS store, first time being there and the young lady at the register named Skyler was very polite and had great customer service skills. She actually was engaging with me throughout the whole transaction and after. I asked her how her day was going, and she actually was sincere with me and said she was getting things accomplished first thing in the morning, even though she's been having customers back to back, which I found that refreshing considering a lot of people these days and Customer Service just say, I'm here or just another day at work. Thank you, Skyler for your great customer service skills and making me feel welcomed. I pray you get paid more than minimum wage because you deserve it..!! Suggestion to the owner... Extremely disappointed with this experience. I paid extra to pick up my package due to it being fragile. UPS marked it as delivered, but later stated they were done delivering for the day at 3:30 PM. Customer service offered no real help or accountability and simply told me it would be delivered tomorrow. If you're going to charge extra for a service, it should be honored and communicated accurately. read more

Wowed by how awful the service was here. I understand the difficulty in staffing but the level of awful service I experienced was not about the incredibly long time it took to get in and out. After waiting for 45 minutes (being 4th in line), I finally was graced to come up; while waiting I noticed the attitude from the agent was just poor and avoidant if the 12 people now at the door. When I went up I put two items directly next to each other on the table. I went through a lot of questions that took slow amounts of time to even get through and paid a high amount for her to not even have included both items. She nastily stated if I wanted to mail it together I should've placed it on top not aside it. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?!?!?!? The piece of paper in the UPS packaging placed down together to be mailed and both addresses pointed to while this long line grows over the person not even asking never mind just making it an added 20 minutes and extra cost than if all together. Her attitude was poor, intelligence lacking and demeanor hostile when I had the nerve to ask why she is charging and processing these separate? I would rather take my chances in tying a package to a trained raven over ever coming in here again. Not trying to be mean but this was awful. read more

This is my go-to store for picking up packages. Convenient location in mid-town Anchorage. The lines are never long and the staff is always friendly. Normally, UPS policy is to return held packages if they are not picked up after 7 days. I called ahead and asked them to hold a package for me since I was going to be out of town for longer than 7 days and they did so. read more

Adequate. The staff were pleasant and helped me obtain the packages that the a-hole UPS driver made no attempt to deliver to me. I was home all day long, and as is typical for the UPS driver that has our route, rather than attempting to deliver, he just stuck a note on our door that said "sorry we missed you" So I had to go to the UPS store the next day. The girls at the UPS Store made excuses for his behavior so I knocked off a star for that nonsense. read more

2 out of 3 times I've gone there's a line to the door or out the door. The helpful staff has always kept the wait short. I haven't personally had any issues here and appreciate how quickly they try to help. I know there are a ton of other locations to drop off packages but because I like the staff here I keep coming back. They also take unwrapped Amazon returns and package it for you (for free). Definitely, if you have your own packaging for personal shipping it is significantly cheaper to package everything yourself as it cost me $8 or so to pack a pair of shoes (one and only time I ever came without my own packaging). I'm finding that the UPS store is better to me than the United States Post Office. For one, they provide notary services. Even though my paper to be notarized said a postmaster could do it, the post office refused. Literally turned away business. Doesn't seem like a good business model. Second, they provide envelopes and other packaging materials for free. Third, they are nice and friendly. I suppose the USPS does those things too. Just no notary. Overall, the UPS they make for a fast, easy, comprehensve experience. Sure, it may cost a little more, but why make two trips wen you can make one. Next time, Post Office, I might just drive past you. read more

I would prefer to leave a rating of zero stars! On January 17, 22 FedEx delivered a package for me at this ( 200 W 34th st, Anchorage ) store. Unfortunately it was placed in a wrong mailbox, although the shipping label correctly showed my box number. The store manager admitted that they have misplaced my package and that they will refund me the value of it. In 21st of January, I sent them a proof of purchase of $175.00. I have been lied to repeatedly, and asked to call back- no results! I have called many times. I have left messages to Melissa and Peggy , but they fail to call me back?? I have yet to receive any money for the value. They are very unorganized and I would not have anything send to them , since customer service failed me. Be warned!!! read more

This is a great UPS store in East Village area of downtown. The prices are higher than the post office but they will pack and ship things for you, which the post office doesn't do. It can get busy at times in the middle of the day so you might want to plan ahead if you're in a hurry. Cassie is great, always smiling and friendly. I enjoy talking with her and Hector when I go to pick up my mail. The store is always clean and I love receiving an email when I have a package! A+ service read more

Is there anything worse than having to go to the post office? These days I would argue that dental work and shopping for health insurance is less painful. Thankfully there are alternatives! Even though this place is called "the ups store," it's so much more. These folks can send mail through either the US postal service or through ups. I just showed up with a wrapped present for my niece and they boxed, taped, addressed and stamped it for me with a smile and a pleasant conversation. No long lines! It was fast! It was convenient! Melissa and Peggy at this store went above and beyond in helping getting some labels for a birthday event i had. Great customer service skills even when it was partially my fault for not being clear enough how i wanted my labels printed they remain friendly, courteous and of course professional.
