I remember fishing at mammoth lakes last year and I had a good time with my dad and my step uncle during summer. We got a rainbow trout 2 times a day, when it's 6 pounds of them. Lastly, I think I'll visit again.

    Family had a great time!

Everything from beginning to end was great! We initially went to Lake Mary Marina but we're told only online reservations were what they were accepting. But,....they mentioned this place and are VERY glad they did. We were able to rent a double kayak and 2 paddle boards for the afternoon. The staff was super friendly and extremely helpful through and through. Highly recommend going. Note: there is no service there so be ready to truly disconnect.

We rented 3 kayaks a couple days ago and a pontoon boat today. Lake Mary is beautiful and we had so much fun! We saw eagles and ducks. All of the employees are super friendly and helpful, even though we're not the best boat drivers. Thank you, Pokonobe Marina, for an exciting and memorable time!

Awesome employees! Very accommodating! Boat was fun for the whole gang! They have a nice beach area with a shady tree area! I would for sure come back. Shout out to Shane for making our visit great!

VERY SHADY BUSINESS, they charged us for a boat rental made on June 3rd, my party as well as multiple other customers arrived at 8am for the boat rental but no one was on site. We checked the entire dock area, as well as inside the lodge and no one was there. We waited till 10am and no one showed up. The phone number on their site leads straight to a voicemail telling you to email them for questions. They don't answer their emails though. When i booked our boat rental in May their site said they were taking rental reservations for June 6th onwards but I had mistakenly made the reservation for June 3rd. I emailed asking if the reservation was still going to go through and if we would receive service but again no one answered. That same night though they did charge my credit card for the boat rental reservation. After we left I emailed them again asking about our reservation and have still not received any information. I am contacting my bank for a dispute regarding this. By the way their website now says reservations are for June 15th onwards so someone is managing the business but ignoring emails. We got lucky I guess because that day was windy and their boats were in poor condition and didn't seem to be well maintained.

This place is awesome! We rented a boat and had a great time! The crew is very helpful and everything is just wonderful! They have a BBQ diner with fantastic location and view! We would come back for kayaking next time!

I knew going into this venue we would have to go with the flow due to unpredictable weather. Natalie Saini eased my mind from the first time I emailed with her and spoke on the phone with her. She was here for me as a coordinator every step of the way! She would email me back quickly and even coordinated a private tasting for us since we were unable to make the group tasting they have twice a year. Her organization and experience made me so confident that our hard work planning would all come together! We had rehearsal on the rooftop and had to switch locations to inside Parallax less than an hour before ceremony time. I'm sure that was stressful for her, but she made me and my husband not have a worry or care in the world. Our day was absolutely perfect for us! She accommodated our wishes of having 10-15 minutes alone after our ceremony. Natalie went above and beyond. She let us have our moment together in our reception area where she had waiting for us drinks and lots of appetizers! We walked around our reception area and got to see it all before our grand entrance to our guests. The gondola staff, the servers, bartenders (Connor especially!), chef, coordinators, and all the Mammoth Mountain staff were so good to us! Our guests raved about the food! We did the family style and it was almost like plated! Lastly, right when we got into town, Natalie came to our cabin and picked up all of our wedding decor and details so we did not have to worry about it! The Sunday after the wedding, she dropped it all back off to us in perfect condition and boxed so nicely. We cannot thank them all enough for putting on this epic wedding and best day of our lives thus far! Mitchell & Marissa Martens

The closest Westin @LAX has the fat comforters right now. The heavenly comforters should be year round. Not some half drawn out thing. Missing the lavender sleep rollers they used to put by the beds. Probably the most mediocre welcome drink pour I have ever had. Elevators scratched and hallways would benefit from touch up paint. Special applause for house keeping, they made our stay better. 3/2025 -- The best stay we have had. Thanks for the mid week room upgrade to a one bedroom. 1/2025 -- It's a solid option. I actually prefer the studio or 1 bedroom units over the 2 bedroom suites. The 2 bedroom penthouse is nice with the big windows. Across all the rooms, the couches are not very comfortable and the in room kitchen feels a little lackluster in appliance quality. Beds are comfortable. I would have designed the bedrooms with a chair or spot to sit. Housekeeping and front desk were warm and accommodating -- they delivered robes, towels, a dog bed, blankets, cutlery, extra pans, etc on a daily basis. Organized and prompt service. Issue with bill and wrong CC on file (which was my fault) resolved - no issue at all. Never rude or inconsiderate. Hallways could benefit from touch up paint. Elevator scratches would benefit from a polish. Active construction -- kind of a bummer if you own one of these units or you are facing the new project. Watch those bonvoy redemptions and rates (which were half what they are now prior to the property remodel in 2022). As most people know, the Marriott system squeezes and changes rapidly. 5/2024 -- Had a pleasant stay during May. Even though it is extremely hot in Oakhurst, the venue, being in a wooded forest, is a very comfortable temperature, not too hot and you don't need a jacket at all, even at night. It is a bit of a pain to get to though - you have to drive up a winding mountain for about 20 minutes coming from Oakhurst so if you are planning on drinking at the event, make sure you either have a DD because coming back down that same road at night with no street lights and while under the influence can be dangerous. The venue itself was a bit confusing for us to navigate. We had to ask people passing by for directions on where to go but we eventually got to where we needed. It is also quite dusty so be prepared to have your shoes and the bottom of your outfits covered with dirt. And being up in the middle of a mountain, be prepared for no/poor reception.

It took almost ONE HOUR from leaving Highway 88 in order, arriving at The Hideout Annex where I attended the wedding venue! Will you please carefully study my photos and will you please notice the GARMIN GPS time stamp for the photos, too? This is no exaggeration . . . Seriously--The Hideout is in the middle of CA BLM TERRITORY, i.e., WILDERNESS REGION! My photos will make you pause in utter silence due to the fact the entire area is just so utterly remote. More importantly, make sure you do NOT drive a vehicle with a low, wheel base clearance such as a sports car or a sedan; for your safety, drive an all-wheel drive SUV, dually truck, i.e. any 4-Wheel Drive vehicle is best. In addition, this entire region's location is extreme wilderness equating, survival terrain. Never come here ill-prepared despite, weddings venues are conducted here, i.e., cold temperatures shifts drop erratically here--hot around 75° F during the day, temperatures drop to 49°F around 6:30 PM--please bring a down jacket, warm pants, socks, boots, hat, gloves, down sleeping bag/blankets, pillow, medicines, a change of clothes, toiletries, fire starters, wood, food, H2O: Everything you'd think bringing on a wilderness camping trip-PACK INSIDE YOUR VEHICLE especially, if you get too inebriated to drive, you might as well sleep off your alcohol party binge without freezing, eh? Plus, whatever supplies you bring in, you must consciously pack out - - - being mindful "wild things" live everywhere around The Hideout . . . So NEVER keep food or toiletries inside your vehicle--because you're just asking for a "wild thing" to cause dangerous drama in your life when you're WAAAAY too inebriated dealing with the dangerous toothy thang, i.e., you just won't survive THAT attack! A lot of parents I noticed were irresponsibly allowing their children running loose, frolicking through the fields/meadows unattended, and unsupervised while attending the wedding at The Hideout: It's most important not allowing children running freely, parents must maintain possessing absolutely heightened, cognitive awareness of sights and sounds 24/7, follow rules such as putting food in bear containers, keeping bear spray in possession 24/7, making sure children don't drop food anywhere, keeping children sticking by their sides without fail, and never allow children run freely through the meadows where rattlesnakes and large animals are simply camouflaged, unnoticeable, and undetected. Sadly, the four restrooms are too far away from The Hideout Annex which is across a huge field causing the children striking out on their own accord--independently scurrying reaching the restrooms in time without having "an accident" where unfortunately, their parents lose their watchful eyes on their children! Therefore, I don't recommend children under ten-years old should attend wedding venues at The Hideout because The Hideout's wedding location is just too remote . . . The Hideout is a gorgeous, wedding venue; however, I just wouldn't recommend young children accompany their parents here. There are too many possibilities for young children being injured or wind up missing due to the area being too vast and too remote; I personally just want immediately removing the odd equation and eliminating the happenstance beforehand-period. I would only consider The Hideout as an adult wedding venue worth attending; however, I definitely would refrain having the children in tow, i.e., hire an overnight babysitter/Nanny for attending a wedding at The Hideout.
