Including us; he was hostile and condescending to every person he interacted with while renting mountain bikes. Our entire family will NEVER return to Mammoth because if this one person being so mean and so rude.

The wind blows hard at times and you feel like you are about to get carried away off the top of the mountain especially with the loose soil. The view is stunning but as you ride down you try to determine whether it's worth stopping to get a better glance at the beautiful scenery and disrupt the awesome flow of your ride. It's so much fun riding down, do you really want to stop? On the other hand you think, I'm going to miss the view though, the view.... So what to do? Well, only one solution here, I take the gondola up the mountain again and ride Off the Top a few more times until the arms and body give in. That is the answer. The soil here is super loose, so wear all the safety gear you can handle. Also, wear a pair of goggles that can help block the wind. There are many many other trails and most that I have ridden on did not have any gnarly jumps that were mandatory, and you can ride around them. There are drops for the most advanced trails. Bike riding isn't the only thing available to do. Hiking was fun as we brought our dog with us. Leashing is required of course. Zip lining and rock climbing were available but we didn't do any of those. If you stay at the resort just note they don't have air conditioning there, but honesty the temperature during middle July didn't seem to require it. They do have a fan in the rooms. Guess I'll write a separate review for the resort later but it's 100% recommended (a little pricey) as everyone who worked there were super friendly. I'll be back there again, ride on!

John Rea not only took me on a do-able yet challenging climb up the Sherwins via Tamarack, but taught me some basic safety; what to look for in snow breaks and how they are caused and how the sun changes the snow in the back country by the hour, how to use a beacon (BASCIS only, not like a certified class but thorough, thoughtful and such) - VERY VERY safety conscious. I'm 56 with a tricky knee, he adapted the path that suited me best and we scaled it nicely. He was very complimentary and encouraging - a very "you can do it" attitude. I look forward to doing more with him and his outfit and his kick ass dogs that love to join in on the fun. Stellar guy and company. I see more adventures like this in my very near future!

The most unprofessional and greedy ski shop I've came across in my 7 years of snowboarding. I…read morebrought a friend to rent here and she got the demo snowboard package. It came with very old looking bindings and they claimed that it was all they had. Day 2 on the slopes, front binding became loose and back binding ankle strap couldn't click in. My friend was stuck on the mountain without safe equipment to get down, so she had to call ski patrol to get her down with downhill lifts. A fun blue bird day was cut short for her. When returning the gear and asking for a refund for the second day, the shop had the audacity to deny responsibility and claim that the gear was working when it was rented out and that my friend should've brought the gear back while being stuck on the mountain. They ended up offering a 5 dollar discount, when the old equipment they rented out wasn't even worth the 2 days demo price was that was charged. This shop does not belong in the ski industry. It showed zero concerns about the safety of their patrons and zero responsibility for the garbage equipment that they rented out.

I stopped in here hoping they could help, and they totally came through. They got me set up with much better gear and were super friendly and patient the whole time. The woman at the front was really welcoming, and the guys who helped me with my gear were kind and easy to work with. They even hooked it up and let us keep the rental an extra day without charging us, which was huge for our trip. Overall just a really positive experience and great customer service.
