Came in for takeout because the most of the reviews talked about how good it was. An older Asian man who I assume is the owner/manager based on how he was communicating with the staff was rude asf. Before even asking me what I wanted to add for my bowl, he was assuming the toppings so some drops of unwanted toppings were inside my bowl. I ordered two bowls a small and a medium and the amount of fish that were added were so little it felt like a small was suppose to be kid size and the medium was suppose to be a small. When checking out, he acted like he was ready to go home. He tossed my card and receipt back in such a rude manner. We told him "Thank you" anyways and he didn't respond and just said the total for the next customer. Bruh. The food was meh. My 10 pieces of fish cooked from the heat of the rice, plus the rice was mushy. Overall the experience coming to this place and the taste of the food were both not good. Very disappointed this place. I was just made 3 same orders and it was 1 minute ago and realized I chose white rice instead of salad only for my bowl. I was called the restaurant several times, and no one answered the phone. Finally, they picked up the phone and I asked them to change to salad instead of white rice , and they refused to do it. They told me the order are ready and they're busy to pick up the phone. Even though my yelp told me to pick up in 30 more minutes. Me and my sister have been regulars here for months! Literally 3 times a week, sometimes more. The fair price, the portion, the friendly service, and the fresh quality are reasons why we keep coming back and ditched other poki places we've tried! They know our order but always ask as we go through the stations as if we will ever order anything different. We always order spicy salmon and spicy tuna because it's always so fresh and the perfect amount of fire on the heat scale. They offer miso soup on the house if you dine in, it's like $1 to take it to go. They charge $1 for avocado but they give a generous serving of half an avocado, no biggie! The lemon infused water is so refreshing! Caution- if you come for a late lunch, when schools get out for the day, it tends to get really loud because kids go upstairs and run around like crazy haha! Yes, it kinda looks like a sketchy area in between a laundry mat and liquor store I've literally never seen anyone go in before but it's the inside that counts anyway and this place is awesome! The only thing I wish they had was stamp cards, like those buy 9 bowls get the 10th one free or something. Shout out to the new girl just learning the register- you got this! You're doing great!
