I really like this location and the staff here. Sometimes you do get ignored upon entering but if u wait a couple minutes they come out and you can start your order. They prioritize mobile orders when they are short staffed on the assembly line but i don't like to order ahead. My order is usually the chili crisp shrimp torched with surimi and the various toppings and my sauce is that cilantro jalapeño and i must add serano peppers bro i need my bowl spiiiiicy, and this location execute it perfectly. Went to redeem my app points today for the Pokeworks POG and a spam musubi. The employee behind the counter made my drink right away and I surprisingly loved it! I don't usually go for a fruit drink but this one was pretty good and not too sweet at 50% sweetness. The spam Musubi was very rice dense with a small slab of spam. That was expected as I had the same spam musubi at a different Pokeworks location. Ambiance was warm and inviting with lots of seating available for lunchtime rush. read more

What made the situation worse was that after this interaction, I overheard Hedda K and another employee, Michael, talking about me behind my back. I clearly heard Michael say, "In situations like that you can win," referring to me. The entire experience made me feel highly disrespected and uncomfortable as a customer. I have been coming to Pokeworks for several times in various locations. This location is one of my favorites as it is very close to the stores in union square and the service is great. The staff is friendly and it has some seating inside. I like how it is usually not crowded in the evening and my bowl is nice and fresh. The sushi that is also near the drinks are good. This time the sauce was included, which was the problem last time, however they didn't include any of the toppings I requested which included pineapple, mango, and orange. This is especially disappointing because the service fees for delivery are so expensive. The meal itself was $21 because I requested additional seaweed salad, but my total came out to $31 because of service fees. To receive an order missing items twice in a row after paying an expensive amount for lunch is very disheartening. I will not be ordering from this location again. Came here a full hour (almost exactly) before they close and the counter was completely cleared out to the point that I double checked with the worker that they were still open. She said yes but proceeded to act like I was keeping her late or just being an overall huge inconvenience to her life. Not to mention when she brought my bowl to the counter it was placed next to another one (seemingly waiting for pick up) that was easily twice as full as mine. The only conclusion I can come to is that she was having a long day and didn't particularly like me, which I can understand as I'm also currently working in service. Sorry to this girl. read more

I've been a loyal fan of Pokeworks for years (since 2016 when this location opened) but had a pretty disappointing experience last night. I came in at 8 PM knowing they close at 9 so was expecting to be able to order like normal. The shop was trying to close early and I wasn't the only customer who came in and said "are you open?" Because of this - it was hard to order b/c none of the food was out and I found myself rushing (I witnessed other customers doing this too) -- since it seemed like the shop was going to close at any minute. All the utensils were gone, chairs were put away, and the staff didn't ask basic questions while ordering like "what type of sauce would you like?" etc. I ended up with a sauceless bowl :( Lastly, one of the staff members was clearly sick and probably shouldn't have been working that day. They only give you like two tiny scoops for the regular 2 protein bowl. The rice was undercooked which was really disappointing - like rice is your base and you can't cook that right ?? I ordered from the Union Sq location this afternoon 3/22 around lunch time. I was reluctant to do so because I've had a bad experience with freshness there before, but I hadn't eaten all day and thought I would give it another try. But once again, my order today was not quite right. Once I got through much of my Spicy Ahi bowl, I realized the tuna was off in color - mainly with a brownish tint to it. It wasn't any of the "sauce" because I wiped it down and it was still brownish, and not the reddishcolor greah tuna usuallt is. Now, 12 hrs later, my stomach is not feeling well at all. This location seems to have freshness issues. Again, this is the 2nd time I've had this issue with this location, but the 1st time I am reporting it. This place definitely went down hill. The fact that there was no one on the line and not many online orders should have given me the hint. I ordered my usual bowl with two proteins. I noticed that the bowl was different. Not sure if it's because it's smaller or just different. I was sad to see the crab salad wasn't there or wasn't for free and no more wasabi mayo. Instead I got the siracha mayo and it was too spicy for me. Maybe it's because I asked for normal but there was so much sauce that it covered all the other flavors. I should mentioned that lettuce was old (stems were pink) and there was definitely less fish. Overall, the product got worse, sloppy and more expensive. It's been years i havent been back to this place. This used to be my favourite place when i was in college. One of the first things in my to-do list when I'm back in New York is going to this place.. My natural voice is lil soft so I guess some of them couldnt hear very well. Instead of asking again politely, they showed attitude right away. The cashier was the only nice one.
