I've been going to this chain for about two years, and this was my first time visiting this location. I ordered a poke bowl, and while it was delicious overall, I felt the ingredients could have been a bit fresher and higher quality. Compared to other locations I've visited, the presentation and overall food quality weren't quite at the same level, so I think there's definitely some room for improvement. On the bright side, the strawberry agua fresca was absolutely delicious and easily my favorite part of the meal! The food is not good at all but it looks good. I didn't know it was possible to mess up miso soup or a poke bowl :( There is absolutely no flavour in the food and they barely put any tuna in. I don't think I'll be back. On the plus side, the restaurant was clean and the staff were kind. read more

Always consistent and delicious no matter which location I go to! I am glad that there is a location closer to me now so I don't have to drive almost an hour to go to the dallas location. My favorite thing to get here is the custom bowl with 2 protein choices. For the base I usually get white rice and salad mix. For the protiens I really enjoyed the spicy salmon and regular salmon. I love toppings so I usually get most of the ones available but my favorite toppings has to be the crab mix, edamame, orange slices, corn, spicy chilies, and the crunch toppings (fried garlic, fried onion, furikake, and nori). For the sauces I really enjoyed the spicy gochujang, ponzu fresh, and shoyu. It is a bit pricy but it is quite filling and can be healthy and protein packed. We ordered the build your own bowl with white rice, spicy tuna, sweet onion, cucumber, edamame, cilantro, Thai chili, diced mangos, sriracha aioli, avocado, green onion, spicy furikake, sesame seeds, garlic crisps, and wonton crisps. We ordered 2 bowls through GrubHub - the Hawaiian bowl & the 2 protein build your own bowl. I went double tuna on my build your own bowl. There were exactly 17 pieces of tuna in it. Not even enough for 1 piece per bite. All things about this place were chintzy. Pure Poke has been our usual but we thought we'd try a new place. Pokeworks is finally in Frisco. What sets them apart from other poke places are the options they have and all the toppings. The tuna and salmon are thicker cut so there is more texture and just taste fresher. They offer lots of options like seaweed salad, imitation crab salad, kimchi, fruits, veggies, and have a lot of choices of sauces. Visited this place last night right before closing, did not feel rushed and the food was amazing as usual. Everything tasted fresh and they were still fully stocked again right before they closed. I called ahead to see if they had enough garlic spam musubi for each of my family members; the guy told me they only had 3 but he would make more to accommodate us again this was around 8:20 and they closed at 9:00. By the time we arrived the musubi was out and ready for us to purchase! Thank you so much to the young man, you certainly are appreciated. You went above and beyond and for the customer which is so rare esp with customer service being in the toilet everywhere nowadays. Against better judgement, I drove out for the soft opening. And like most places, they weren't ready to accommodate a large crowd. I had this pinned and was excited too. The line extended a mile and wasn't really moving. I wasn't there for a free bowl. I was there because I was thrilled we were getting a new poke spot, which is rare here. I waited it out until it started raining. The folks coming out with their poke bowls didn't seem thrilled with the small portion. I think I will give them 6 months to get settled before coming back. I'm used to SoCal Poke spots where it moves fast and the assembly is like a well oiled machine. This place is not there yet. read more

My husband and I were very excited to try this new Pokeworks, as our favorite Frisco Poke spot did not survive COVID. Unfortunately, Pokeworks just isn't it. Very basic. 2 proteins is a very small amount, so go for the 3. Also, pick one base. I chose 2 and it was the same amount of rice as my husbands 1 base, so the salad mix took up space that should have been filled with the toppings.
