I don't eat in very many poke places but decided to try this one since i was working nearby. Overall it was very good. The spicy shrimp was delicious. The only reason i gave this three stars is because the plain cooked shrimp was kind of fishy. Other than that i enjoyed my lunch just didn't eat the plain shrimp. Nice to see they are revamping the Montclair plaza because it was a dump. This place should do well. read more

Best quality in the area. This place is a little more expensive than other places in the area, but it's definitely worth it. It's located in the new foodcourt area next to the NoodleWorld Jr. I really like that they have Spicy Salmon and that they are not stingy with their portions. Beyond irritated with the workers here! I was waiting for my food and I told the girls that I'm waiting for sisters salmon roll without crab and I handed her the receipt. She then goes to tell her other coworker something and when the male walks out she makes him yell for the order. I said "that's for me. I'm picking it up for my sister." She then goes to say " well it could be a different receipt?" Tell me how it could be a different receipt??? Who in the world orders a roll with something specific not In it?? Good first impression! The servings are fairly large and worth the price. Workers are very helpful and even are required to wear face masks to prevent spitting in food while talking. Very sanitary and i've never seen something like that before. Definitely will be coming back again. read more

Don't be fooled by the food court mall location--fish is super fresh, seaweed salad is included in the bowl price (unlike Poke Dot or Oki Poke, both in Claremont), and tons more veggie mix-ins: cucumber salad, corn, tomatoes etc. I'm a big eater and the medium bowl is plenty for me. Ive been to them all "poke" works, delight, Boat, paradise, skipjack etc..name them all but this place has the best deal overall. Listen, each poke store has it pros and cons but the true test is the quality of the protein, seaweed salad and imitation crab. So heres the thing, never get premeditated fish.. get the fresh one and dip in your own sauce. This place had great quality, the salmon had good texture and tasted buttery-like and fresh. Portion size was one of the best! Anyways, ill always be eating here from now on. read more

The food is excellent, but being my first visit here, it wasn't the greatest experience. The service was great, our server was this very nice guy that was able to help us along with what to order since we were new. When we were paying however, this female worker decided to be completely unprofessional and drop on us that he had almost forgotten to add a payment to a customer twice (because he had almost forgotten during our visit), which honestly?? We didn't need to know. We're customers and we're there for food, not to vent your pre-menstrual complaints about your co-workers on. Because of this, we just walked away both understandably upset and distracted by the comment, so we forgot to ask for our receipt. We didn't get our order of rice and miso soup we also purchased. When my mother went back to get inquire, the lady's freaking answer was a dismissive, "Oh, I don't know." To have a worker like that? It's unprofessional, especially when she's able to catch that we need to pay $2 for extra avocado but then suddenly can't help us whatsoever when we complain we're missing $4 worth of food. The computer has a system that can pull the last payment up, that's the worst answer you can give a customer. She didn't even say she'd go get her manager/supervisor, so...bottom line, get professional competent workers that don't shame their co-workers to a customer's face and don't upset customers. I get she needed to make sure he added the extra amount we needed to pay, but she should have just shut up on the snide comment about her co-worker. read more

POKEWAY does POKE the right WAY. I'm the manager at the Starbucks downstairs and I have been waiting for this place to open for what feels like forever. They are still getting the hang of the assembly line down, but the quality is great! The service is great as well, and the owner Randy is super friendly. I've only had the bowls so far, but the spicy salmon is the best protein choice they have in my opinion.
