Stopped by on a Monday so it wasn't busy at all. Parking does suck because of the gym next door. Nice and clean interior, friendly service. Not much to say, really. Plenty of food choices. I wasn't "too hungry" but still finished my food (haha). Husband and I both got bowls, and my son didn't want anything. I gave him a some of my food to try, and he liked it, so he helped me finish it. Really liked it.

Of course nothing beats authentic poke from Hawaii but this place definitely brings the flavor! We both got mediums and were satisfied and very full after we devoured our meals. The medium comes with three proteins of your choosing and of course there are various toppings to choose from; we ordered from door dash and everything was neatly prepared. It's in a small shopping center near a planet fitness. Plenty of parking. Also have a 30 min option if you're just picking up to park. I got the spicy tuna, and albacore and it was delicious. Do like to leave these types of reviews hopefully the owner reads this is a good business and we have been eating here for years but lately people in my house hold have been eating there and getting sick first was my niece got food poisoning we didn't want to blame poke 2 grill but we decided to to try again yesterday and my wife got sick also smh and we are supposed to go on vacation tomorrow morning . I hope the owners check there food quality or be careful with cross contamination please save this business by paying more attention to food quality my wife was sick all night shame i can't leave a negative star read more

It was my first time trying this Poke spot and I have to say it was a pleasant experience! I was greeted by a young man, he helped guide me through the menu since I was a little lost. He gave me recommendations and the bowl was amazing! So much flavor and amazing portions. My cashier was Leo and he was the one who assisted me since the beginning. He has great customer service! Food is honestly really good, which makes this review even more disappointing. The customer service was terrible. While my bowl was being made, I felt completely rushed--even though the place was empty. The employee was asking what I wanted super fast and had an attitude every time I added something, like she didn't want to be there. I get it--it was a Sunday, and who really wants to work on a Sunday--but her attitude was way too noticeable and it clearly showed she didn't want to be there. I don't know her name, but I've been here quite a few times and this was my first time seeing her working there. She was a light-skinned girl who helped me out. I tried to brush it off, but it got worse. I ordered a drink, she charged me for it, took my money, and then just walked away without giving it to me or saying anything. It was confusing and unprofessional. Instead of apologizing, she laughed. This review is strictly about the service because the food itself is solid. Just wish the customer experience matched the quality of the food. read more

I've been coming to this place for about six years (ever since they closed Pokémom next to Cinemark Downey), and I truly love it. It's a very casual spot, and while it's usually not too busy for dine-in, there can sometimes be a wait to order. I always get the poke bowls, which I rate 5/5 in both quality and quantity. However, I wouldn't recommend the kids' meals--I've ordered the shrimp & chips and the popcorn chicken & chips for my daughter on separate occasions, and both times, the shrimp and chicken were over-fried, making them hard and overcooked. The fries were also stale and cold. My sister, unfortunately, has had a different issue--on multiple occasions, she's found an employee's hair in her poke bowl. I've noticed that none of the staff ever wear hairnets, which is concerning. Personally, I've never had this happen, and I love the poke here far too much to stop coming--but my sister can't say the same. That being said, every time I've called about an issue, the staff has been very nice and accommodating. I always made sure to take pictures just in case they thought it was our hair, but they handled it well. Overall, I still highly recommend the poke bowls, but I hope they improve their food handling and kids' meal quality. read more

Protein: 3 scoops tuna, 1 scoop spicy tuna Mix: Cucumber, onion, jalapeño, cilantro Sauce: Ponzu Toppings: Furikake, green onion, ginger I had very limited interaction with the two ladies at the front, but they did their job and that's all any customer can ask for. The bowl satiated my appetite to an extent, but I was expecting a little bit more with a $20 purchase. I believe they lowered the amount of total protein scoops from five to four for a large bowl. But hey, resources are getting scarce by the day I guess. Tuna and spicy tuna was pretty great, although the ratio of protein to sides seemed a little too disproportionate than what I'm used to with other Poke places. So in other words- pretty solid, not amazing. Will probably go back again.

The portion size is decent, and the price is usually around what poke costs nowadays. The quality of the fish is okay, but can't compare it to Hawaiian Fresh Seafood in San Diego (the literal best I've tasted so far outside of Hawaii). The good thing about this place is you get to pick as many mix ins or sides while other poke shops around the area only allow 2 sides/mix ins/toppings. I also like the convenience of being able to fill out an order form and just being called when the order is ready. There are plenty of seats inside and outside if you decide to dine in.

Then the guy wanted to split the payment between cards, which took even more time, and when they were finally done getting all the utensils and extra sauces they wanted, it was nearly 10 minutes. THEN the counter girl ignored me and walked over to the poke bar and started helping somebody else! WTF?! Communication is everything. First come, first served is fair. You should treat everyone fairly. The owner should speak to her. It's been a long time since I've had such bad service

I recently went to Poke2Grill and it was just okay. I ordered a small poke bowl for $12.95, the food was okay and I thought it was a bit pricey for what I got. The service was bad. I asked if I could have a half and half base like they showed on the menu, but the staff said it was only available for medium and large bowls. Why don't they mention that on the menu? Also, they weren't helpful when I asked about the toppings and other options, even though it was my first time there. It wasn't even busy, but they rushed through my order. Overall, the food was decent but expensive, and the service was poor. They should clearly state the limitations on the menu, and the staff could be more helpful and attentive. I seriously just made this account hoping management sees it. i am not the one to be posting reviews but the costumer service in this store is shit! if i could give them 0 stars i would. all of the employees seemed to know NOTHING. they kept taking forever and messing up every chance they had. they could be new employees for what it seemed but to leave them with no manager and supervisor at sight to help them is completely unprofessional. I grew up in Downey and I've tried every restaurant here. You could say I'm a foodie. This place opened a few weeks ago and I decided to give them a try since I had bad experiences before with poké places. The customer service was good, place was clean, and food was sad I paid $14 for a large order of poke bowel which had a lot of fillers and the poke scoop were literally butter scoop. Ordered 5 bowls 1 with chicken the rest with shrimp/salmon and spicy tuna. Everyone got sick expect the person that ordered chicken. I tried calling in and they do not have voicemail set up so you cannot leave a message. I came in and asked for a refund and the manager said no. There is no problem with the food. After many trips to the restroom 30 minutes after we ate . I think there was a problem their sea food today. Mind you I eat here a couple times a month. I will now find a new Poke place. read more
