This review is solely based on the food. Service was great from the gentleman that worked there. We got two small bowls, the toppings here are a bit different than other poke places I've had, for example the cucumbers didn't have any flavor to it and the crab meat was just minced to prices and a little on the dry side. The rice was also a little dry and hard. To be fair we came towards the end of the day, so maybe it's better early on in the day. Other than that everything else was ok, not sure if I'd be back. After a clustered poor grub job order and no follow up from business I am going to share. It's not hard to execute an order that comes on line with instructions especially when the consumer is spending a lot and expects common sense and attention to detail. How difficult is it to read comments. Put chopsticks and ginger in the bag. Not only didn't this get read and no unagi sauce on my poke as stated in the description. When you are at a motel and there is no plastic wear or silverware the $30 for the bowl becomes absurd! Not even a napkin. Called shop and asked to have manager ...Phil? to call me. It is $19 including tax for 2 proteins. Each Protein is 1/2 cup. Each topping is 1/4 cup. Half the bowl is rice. Salad is large strips of lettuce. I am new to the area and looking for a good poke shop. I stopped in here thinking maybe this could be my new place. I walked in to a clean store , no other customers , I got a welcome in and was told it would be 5-6 minutes as he had to complete a couple mobile orders. 2 ladies walked in behind me , then a gentleman walked in and walked out. When it was my turn he asked if I wanted brown or white rice? I said white , he then asked what toppings I wanted , I asked for lettuce , didn't think it was a big deal, he looked irritated when he walked back to dump some rice out. From there it was just uncomfortable, he was very short. I felt rushed and unwelcome at that point. Continued to check out , I told him it was for here and he bagged everything up and said don't forget your utensils. I paid $22 for a bottle of water and bowl I'm a manager in a customer service facing role and realize we get stretched thin but I always put my self in the customers shoes even when I'm facing multiple priorities to ensure they get a great experience. I used to love coming to this location, and the food has always been fresh and tasty. But the last time I went, I was really disturbed because of what happened to my husband. This happened quite a while ago already and I didn't review at the time. But I frequent the shopping center, and I keep meaning to leave feedback. I think it's important for the owner to know and for the customers to know. When my husband was helped the last time he was in, several months ago, the employee that was working the counter was not wearing any gloves. Not only was he not wearing any gloves, but he was bleeding on his hand. My husband, being very nice and non-confrontational, didn't say anything at the time as he was building our bowls. The hand was bleeding as he was serving the food. Later, when my husband told me, I insisted that we go back and return the food. I will not eat something if there is potentially a contaminate. We went back and the employee was really apologetic, saying, "I thought you wouldn't notice..." This disturbs me even more! I asked if he could put a Band-Aid on, he said there are no Band-Aids there... I'm very confused at this because every work place should have a first aid kit and every workplace that requires food handling should require their employees to be wearing gloves! I don't even know if this employee is even still working there... I didn't want to get them in trouble. so bummed having to write this place a bad review! I used to go to Yummy Poke but the quality and customer service got pretty bad so I tried Poke Town out recently. I went for the first time last week and it was great! fish was fresh, ingredients were fresh, all in all great bowl! 2 stars for that! today I went back again for the second time and had.. just about the worse poke bowl i've had. the fish was all either chewy and muscle-y (photo attached... so sorry), and any piece that wasn't too hard and chewy to eat tasted like, and I mean this with 100% honesty, a goldfish tank. it tasted so, so, so fishy and gross I was besides myself. sadly the fishy-ness ruined the whole bowl and made the rice and everything around it taste so gross. and for a 20$ small bowl for it to be so bad... I can not justify it. I really wanted to like this place despite the bad reviews, but sadly don't think i'll be back! :( read more

I probably should have listened to the other reviews. They're accurate and I'm surprised this place is still open. The place was empty when I walked in (dinner time on weekday). It wasn't exactly "dirty" but definitely not clean and the person working looked like she didn't want to be bothered with people. I have eaten at many poke places in the area and I won't come back to this one. Fish is stringy and not cut correctly. There is limited toppings and the avocado was brown. The rice is mushy and tasteless. I've also never been to a poke place that didn't mix the fish with sauce and other toppings. I had to come home and add my own sauce and other toppings since it was so dry. Pretty bummed I wasted $20 on this. read more

The person who took my order was very nice and informative . Place was quite. There was no line at all which I should of pay attention too from the beginning. Quality of the food was not very good. I didn't have poke for few years and was craving one that day . I wish I would drive to different place as we end up getting food poisoning from that not very fresh fish dish. I didn't finish even half of my poke bowl. The selection of items that you can add to your poke is also very little. Not planning on going back . Probably the worst poke place I've eaten at around the Sacramento area. I give it two stars because the concept of a poke bowl is there and the fish was fresh. The poke is basically raw fish that had a drizzle of sauce. By the time I took a bite, the fish had no flavor and the sauce was soaked into the rice. I was only given the choice of one sauce and I could not taste it at all. I was expecting the fish to be mixed with green onions, red onions, jalapeños, and the sauce. I chose the medium bowl with three proteins. Excited that they offered unagi as one, I was quickly disappointed when they only put one small sliver of unagi on the bowl. Then when biting into it, it was ice cold! I should have known since the guy did not prepare it at all before sticking it on my bowl. I chose salmon for my other two because the octopus was a sweet salad type that he could not tell me what was used to make it. They offered some of the traditional toppings like edamame, seaweed salad, cucumbers, crab, etc. The crab however was shredded and dry. Not the normal crab salad you usually get in a California roll or any other poke place. They also had some unusual toppings that I did not try like carrot. Never having poke before, having nothing to compare too, this was delicious! It' was 104 degrees her so we abandoned plans for grilling ribs and picnicking outside at the RV! Poke Town is a little place, one guy behind the counter and he was more than patient with the 2 of us poke virgins! I mixed my rice, 2 scoops of ahi tuna, crab salad, seaweed, edamame, house sauce, sesame sauce and topped with crispy onions (sure I am forgetting something) the guys chose a few mor things, scallops, spicy tuna ... all three bows were humongous and delicious. Love this place! I've been here twice now, one time ordering in store then the second ordering online for pickup. I definitely recommend ordering through their website rather using doordash, since doordash inflates the prices of each item. Local business open during this striving time. Been here a couple of times, and every time the proteins and toppings are fresh. There's no indoor eating right now, Togo only...but typically there's enough chairs and table for us to hang. They got marble sodas, Macraroons, ice creams to accommodate our tiny humans. Being from Hawaii we are pretty picky connoisseurs of sushi and sushi bowls (LOL) ... we got 4 bowls all with extra rice, kani salad (crab salad), ... 1 bowl was with the Ahi, and assorted toppings ... seaweed salad, furikaki, edamame, onions, etc., with various sauces. The gentleman (owner?) helped us and was friendly and didn't rush us.... he took his time and made sure we added what we wanted. I guess they read the previous reviews because it didn't smell fishy and everything tasted fresh. I don't have anything bad to say about Poke Town. I just can't rate this place high because it doesn't meet my personal preferences for a Poke Bowl. I prefer a place that mixes everything up for you and not just stacked in a tray like a salad. They don't offer mango or pineapple which I really enjoy in my bowls. And I didn't know crab was included so I didn't ask for it, nor was it offered. Typically, they walk you through the process but that was not the case here. I also like a sauce that has wasabi in it which they do not have. They do offer straight wasabi. But if they aren't going to mix the bowls then that really doesn't work for me. I can say that the fish tasted fresh so there's that. read more

I've been here a handful of times for lunch or after a work out. The portion sizes depends on the person working so it varies, but the last time I went I was satisfied with all of it. Very clean and simple set up inside. They have some ice cream desserts and different type of drinks you can choose from. I haven't tried it myself but they look good! I love the location too! I was super excited to try this place because I love Poke and we only have a few places in Roseville/Rocklin but I was pretty disappointed with this place. I ordered the poke nachos and they were so gross because they use actual tortilla chips (Which were stale tasting), not like wonton chips/sweet chips and it was just gross and with everything together. I have been to a few Poke places and this one is my new favorite place. Full disclosure is I no longer eat fish. Our Poke bowls were tofu and my only suggestion would be to mix the tofu with the sauce then place on the bowl. It looks like some of the other proteins already have marinade. I have been coming here for awhile now and the quality is progressively getting worse. Each time, I receive less and less base (rice) and fish (their "scoops" less and less full. Their ingredients are also old. The avocado was almost black today and the man working didn't care. And was still charging extra for it. The green onion and other sides were dry and brown too. Excellent quality of fresh protein choices; tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, albacore tuna, unagi, octopus and squid salad and huge variety of toppings; like masago eggs, edamame, crab salad, seaweed salad, cucumbers, crunchy onions and many more. I almost never leave negative reviews.. I know the type of reviewers who only complain...but I ordered thru DoorDash. Originally said 30-45 min. I got a message letting me know a dasher was on there way and they were just waiting for the order. Fast forward almost 2 hrs later And no order. I called poke town asking what was going on and if it was a DoorDash issue and the guy literally said (yeah.. I just haven't had time to make your order) not apologetic, he really didn't care.
