Tried Eric's BBQ for the first time today, and man was it good! We ordered the 2-meat plate with tri-tip and St. Louis ribs, along with potato salad and mac 'n' cheese. Everything had the perfect amount of smoky flavor, and it paired perfectly with Eric's BBQ sauce. The ribs were cooked perfectly with a crisp outside and a tender, juicy inside--exactly how I like them. They honestly didn't even need sauce, but adding a little BBQ sauce to a few bites just made them even better. The tri-tip was packed with flavor, and Eric definitely didn't hold back on the portions. There was plenty of meat on the plate, which I definitely appreciated. Both sides were excellent, too. The potato salad was packed with flavor. Potato salad is always hit or miss for me because so many places under-season it, but this one was spot on. My wife and I also both enjoyed the mac 'n' cheese. She prefers hers a little cheesier and creamier, while Eric's version is more baked and less runny. Personally, I loved it exactly the way he makes it. The service was quick and only took a few minutes to get my order. His location is convenient on on the side of the road for an easy pull in and exit. Overall, I really enjoyed my first visit and will definitely be back soon. I'm already looking forward to trying the tri-tip sandwich next, and I'll probably add an order of baked beans to see how those stack up. Consistently great bbq. The sauce provided with each order isn't needed as the meat is flavored well.

We ordered via food delivery service and got 2 tri tip meals with baked beans and potato salad. The tri tip was good, however, we didn't get full slices rather tiny pieces that were probably left over for the day. Nevertheless, it still was very tender and delicious. The baked beans were a definite win. Flavorful with chunks of bacon and a hint of sweetness. The potato salad was store bought, nothing special. We definitely plan on trying them again. read more

Delicious BBQ, we loved the pulled pork the best. Potato salad and Cole slaw were tasty no sitting area but there is a small park next to a lake with picnic tables and shade, Markham Park. The owner who is also the cook is friendly and gives you all you need for a picnic in the park! read more

Trio tip had not a flavorful taste. They were out of chicken which is what I really wanted. Mac cheese tasted good. Hot link we're sizzling.

I got the tri tip, rib tips, baked beans and potato salad. I think this was probably the best tri tip I've had in a while! Super tender and lots of smokey flavor. Rib tips were meaty with good flavor. The potato salad was pretty standard but the baked beans were amazing. The flavor and texture were the best. On my way back home I looked up some bbq near Lincoln. Found this little bbq food truck and decided to try it out. It did not disappoint! Prices are very fair for the amount of food you get. Flavors are there. Smoky but not overly smoked. The tri-tip was juicy and tender while the ribs had a nice snap to them. They are not fall off the bone as many people like, but not me so these were perfect. The I got the beans and mac salad as sides and they were delicious. Portion was huge as well. 2 people would be able to share, no problem. Will def be back when I'm craving bbq. read more

So difficult to get great BBQ around the area, but craving it non the less. Decided to try Eric's after reading 5 star reviews. It did not disappoint. I placed an order a day ahead via text. So service was perfect...my order was ready first thing the next morning. I made my sides and went for St. Louis ribs to enjoy a pool day with BBQ lunch. What a treat! The place was not what I expected...big sign shows BBQ Here and you enter into someone's property/house. There is a food truck/trailer in front. I would definitely go back to try their other meats and get more ribs. The racks were meaty, well smoked and the cost was very fair. The ribs came with a super sauce on the side...sweet and tangy! The tri tip was fantastic. Hot links were super good although they could use a little more spice. The beans were the best part. Sweet, saucy, rich and not too soft. I made a visit here due to the reviews were all 5 stars on yelp and google reviews. As well I was craving bbq, especially brisket. Just to be confused, surprised and disappointed when I got there. That the brisket is currently off the menu. So call ahead first before going, if you're wanting a certain meat. Why do I say surprised? Well, the location of the place is quite confusing, as if you're entering into someone property/house. Be ready to expect that, if you go. I give the man props for trying to bbq. But to be very honest, I've had way better. Was it the worse? Probably, but definitely just an okay. Would I try it again? Probably not. I had the 3 meat plate (tri tip, ribs, and chicken) which came out to be roughly $30 and some change after tax. The portion for the cost is way beyond expected and fair. Was told that the Mac n Cheese and Beans were made by him, while the rest is standard store bought. I went with the Mac n Cheese and the potato salad for my sides with my meal. I haven't gotten around to the potato salad, but probably know already what to expect. Mac n Cheese on the other hand was just okay. I personally prefer more creamy. But that's me. The food did come with bbq sauce. I asked for hot sauce and was told he had none/don't make any. I ended up having to improvise that. Now let me explain why 3 stars. 1 = Service | 2 = Portion | 3 = Props. 2 missing stars are due to the food quality and taste. The chicken looks great and you can tell there's seasoning on it, but the skin was not even edible. So then the chicken had no taste, because all the flavoring was on the skin which you couldn't even eat. I tried it and so did my partner. It was like eating plastic. Tri tip was okay. It was tender, but a little over seasoned. Wasn't as medium rare/medium cooked as other reviewers photo shown. Last but not least the ribs. The ribs were just okay, but you can tell none of these items were smoked. I'm pretty sure it was oven baked and thrown into a grill or smoker to finish cooking process. Or if it was smoked then it was below temp and cooking too slow. Which explains the non edible chicken skin as well as no smoky taste or char on any of the meats. I may not know much to anything about smoking bbq. But I do know good smoking bbq when I eat it. This review isn't to bash and keep people away from going. Please go and try for yourself. This is my opinion and my experience. I will rate base on the overall picture. I love to try and support new businesses. This review is for the owner/cook. Cook like you're cooking for yourself. My review isn't to put you down, but to criticize your food for you to do better. And for people who love bbq to enjoy your food you present, so they'll always come back. Until then I hope in the future I can come back and actually enjoy your bbq, but better. read more
