Not sure how to rate this I would say 5 starts for taste and service but I had a metallic taste in my mouth for a while after eating my bowl and had the runs after researching I read it could be due to high mercury in fish or the fish not being refrigerated so I'm guessing that is accurate. We are big fans of Poke To Me to the northwest of here, but on our way to Agua Dulce, we decided to stop by PJ for lunch. We were not disappointed! For $23, the hubs and I filled up on the two-item bowls. I had tuna and salmon with half rice, half salad; he had crab and shrimp mix with spicy tuna and greens. The restaurant is in the Albertson's shopping center; the place is clean and the selection is good. Compared to their competitor, PJ is smaller with cool decor that's not as bright and shiny. Their counter is about half the size of PTM's, but the selection is nearly identical. The ordering process is about five steps and you get two sauce options. I went with the soy sauce and Junction sauce, which was a bit heavy. Next time I may have them go light on the Junction sauce. Everything seemed fresh and it was very filling. PJ also offers a lunch special with only one protein item for $7.99. If you aren't in the mood for the bottled or fountain beverages, PJ has delicious cucumber water to wash down the thick salty-sweet Junction sauce. Oh, and they have a loyalty program--buy 8, get one medium bowl free. Given the super friendly, helpful customer service, we'll definitely be back. read more

Today was my first time trying a poke bowl and I'm glad I did it here! Everyone working was very patient and friendly. I wasn't very hungry, so I got the lunch special that goes from 11-2. It's a smaller bowl where you get your base, 1 protein, and toppings. The white rice was cooked well and all the toppings were fresh and tasty. I really liked the house soy sauce and eel sauces since I prefer sweet flavors. It complemented the salmon that I got. My wife and I, had late lunch today. Not knowing what to order, thankfully they made it easy by having the choices directly above the person making your bowl. They have it in steps so it's dumb proof. I literally made a poke salad of stuff. Half brown rice, and half mixed salad w/seaweed mixer. One scoop spicy shrimp, and crab. Two scoops salmon. One scoop seaweed salad. Two scoops crab salad. Dash of fried garlic. Dash of fried onion. Dash of seaweed flakes. Junction sauce. Ponzu sauce. Wasabi yuzu sauce. Bottom line...food was delicious. Place was clean. Employees were very nice and patient, especially when I kept on adding stuff on my poke bowl. Ambience wise, the music was too loud to the point that my wife and I, could not hear each other. Granted we were sitting underneath the TV, but still employees should be aware of this and should put the volume of the music to its proper decibel. So the customers could relax, and enjoy the delicious food. And yes, having a great discussion where we can actually hear and understand each other while eating is key to a great meal. We've eaten at several Poke restaurants and this one is just as good as good some of the others we've eaten at. The restaurant was clean and the staff is friendly.
