Found this place on yelp when I was looking for a place to eat for lunch and it did not disappoint. They have catch of the day which was hamachi with yuzu sauce. I got the Hamachi with yuzu sauce and shoyu ahi over sushi rice. You also get to pick three toppings of your choice. They have unique topping such as spicy takuan and kimchi. It wasn't the price of your side, but it was a very delicious bowl. I will definitely come back.

Poke with signature tuna and salmon

Super dope spot located in a great location in the heart of Waikiki. Just one block from the main strip. I got a poke bowl with their signature tuna and salmon. The fish was so fresh and that signature tuna is a must try for sure. The place is small with only a few tables outside to sit n eat. But you're so close to the beaches anyways it's better to take it to go! The owner, Scott was super cool and welcoming. Came back a second time five minutes before closing and he remembered me from a few days prior. Highly recommend!

This place is kind of hidden and there is absolutely no seating. Its grab and go only. However the poke is very good and the service was very nice. They have lots of options for protein and lots of variety of toppings. Everything was fresh and great portions for everything! Definitely a good place for grab and go poke.

Honestly my favorite poke spot here! Even with all the amazing options here, I enjoyed Poke Fix for the best overall bowl, balanced between fish and toppings. Small shop with no seating but taking a bowl to the beach or nearby food court is a great option. Salmon, spicy ahi, crab salad, and seaweed salad. I was also asked if I've been here before because that's their most popular order, not sure if it was just the fish selection (king salmon and spicy ahi) or if the toppings were also the most chosen.

Poke Fix Hawaii popped up as "Top Rated" on my Google Maps, and naturally, we took that as a sign from the foodie gods that we had to go. Spoiler: it did not disappoint. Right when you walk in, there's a sign letting you know there's no seating inside, but you can ask the guy at the counter for nearby seating options -- a helpful little hack for those of us who like eating poké without squatting on a curb. The guy who served us was super chill and friendly. We got one of the tuna + salmon bowls (details are fuzzy because I was too excited to eat), and while it was supposed to be one scoop of one protein, he let us mix both into a single scoop -- legendary move. The fish? Fresh and flavorful. We paired it with salad, cucumber, and kimchi, and the combo was chef's kiss. The bowl was on the smaller side for $14, but it was actually pretty filling -- and honestly, that quality of fish made it totally worth it. 5/5 all the way. Definitely add this to your poke pilgrimage if you're in town.

absolutely delicious! came on one of our first days on vacation and definitely had to come back before we left. i'm not a big fan or raw fish but this was something i'm gonna be thinking about when i get back home! the owner is super friendly and a local ! 10/10 recommend

Wasabi shoyu + spicy ahi, edamame, seaweed salad, kimchi

Absolutely zero notes for improvement at Poke fix!! This is our usual spot to come back to whenever we're in Honolulu (at least twice per trip!) and every time it delivers as one of the best bites of the trip. The owner, Scott, is incredibly kind and friendly with the customers, even while making several bowls! You can't go wrong with any of the poke options as all the fish / shrimp are super fresh and the flavors (wasabi shoyu, spicy mayo, Hawaiian style) all blend perfectly with the rest of the bowl. This spot is definitely a must go if you're visiting Oahu!

Large bowl with spicy ahi and spicy ahi mayo
    Tina D.

The large bowl is pictured which is 2 proteins. We picked spicy ahi and spicy ahi mayo. Well dressed and comes with 3 toppings (we picked seaweed salad, edamame and krab salad). Overall good quality fish and dressed well. Some of the fish is market price even though it says a large bowl is $18 so this bowl came out to be $25. That was a bit of a shock and I think could have been explained better. Also wish you get a little more fish in the bowl to balance with the amount of rice. Otherwise flavorful and fresh.

Amazing. Couldn't even wait to finish my bowl to write a review. Salmon & ahi so fresh, with a super tasty shoyu marinade. The pickled garlic was a novelty topping for me that was well worth it, crunchy little treat. Friendly service too. Best lunch !!

Double furikake salmon, seaweed salad, Taegu (dried cod strips in a Korean sweet spicy sauce, it's chewy and tasty!!!), and pickled radish

Ordered: 1. Spicy garlic shrimp in mayo with kimchee, seaweed salad, pickled cucumbers on a bed of seasoned rice 2. Double furikake salmon, crab salad, seaweed salad and pickled ginger on a bed of rice 3. Hawaiian ahi, furikake salmon, double seaweed salad and crab salad 4. Double furikake salmon, taegu, pickled radish, seaweed salad on a bed of lettuce The food was super fresh with really flavor and generous portions. Fish was not slimy but fresh cut and the flavor of the fish came through - the extra sauce complemented everything. The one poke bowl was maybe 1.5 cups of food and the 2 poke bowl was maybe 2-3 cups of food. Service: Was excellent! The line moved really fast, the server was super efficient and she asked for my entire order up front and she got everything prepared. She let me know what days they will be closed due to the holidays. She confirmed my order for things that cost extra (taegu and salad) Ambiance: It's a small storefront (maybe 5'x10') with a beverage cooler on the far end. But you don't come for the ambiance - you come for the poke!!!! Overall, excellent food and fast service, convenient location to grab and go. We'll be back!!!

Fresh fish arrives daily ! You order inside and they have tables outside of the restaurant. This is located in an alley way and will be missed if you pass it on the main road. It's down the alley of the front entrance of Ross.

Arrived in Waikiki this morning before lunch and our rooms weren't ready yet, The hubby and son decided to check out Kith so decided to take the two girls for Poke. By chance we found Poke Fix just a quick walk from our hotel. Tucked on a small side street this is truly a hidden gem. Shared a 2 item bowl with Hawaiian Ahi & Salmon Furikake Shoyu and was in heaven. The fish was fresh and toppings not overwhelming, honestly I could've just enjoyed the poke alone - it was that good! The guy who was there alone helping us was great! He even gave us some ube coconut butter mochi - chefs kiss!!! My daughters agreed we would be back again for more and luckily our hotel was close by... Fast forward to 45 mins later and I realize I lost my card. Frantically I retraced my steps and came back to the shop where the same guy, smiling reached under his register and handed me my card!! I must've left it on the counter when I tapped to pay... Whoever you are, your poke is amazing! That was reason enough for my family to come back, but you're a good person for hanging on to my card - you've gained a customer for life! Mahalo

I decided to finally go out of my usual choices and try Ginza out. Ginza is located in the main ward building (the one with the theater), on the side, between Men's Warehouse and L&L. We got seated fairly quickly and was given water. Upon ordering we were also given edamame to nom on while we waited. We also decided to order two rolls, an AAB combo set to try a variety of things and fried calamari for food measure. We got: * Jen's Paradise: 9.7/10, heavily recommend. I was really craving sear salmon and it definitely helped to satisfy that craving. I didn't realize that the roll part itself ONLY has shrimp tempura within the nori (no crab salad, avo, etc). * Bomb: 8/10, clearly I lacked my reading comprehension skills this day because I didn't realize that this was baked... so when it came out and the entire roll was fully cooked I was heart broken. It tasted good, just not what I particular want at a sushi restaurant. * Chicken Karaage: 5/10. I do NOT recommend this. They remined me of mochiko chicken, but these were not very meaty or flavorful. * Fried Calamari: 10/10, fried to perfectly in my opinion, each piece was plump and delicious. * Miso Butterfish: 8.9/10, it was good, flaky and flavorful. Just not something I would order again, but it was good to try esp it is something they're supposedly known for. * Mixed Tempura: 10/10, yum I love mixed tempura, no notes, it was hot and crunchy. I would like to mention that our wait was quite long. I don't know why because they weren't like SUPER busy. It took 10-15 for us to get the miso soup and salad for the combo. +5 for the calamari, +5 for the first roll then a few minutes after for the rest. I feel like 15-20 minutes for our first actual item (calamari) to come is kind of crazy, it kept being brought to the wrong table (2-3 times). Our server apologized so its not a huge deal. Otherwise, I still enjoyed our experience. I would definitely come back again to try the rolls I would enjoy more (utilizing my reading skills a bit better LOL).

From the outside, it is a hole-in-the-wall, but don't let that fool you. This is by far the best sushi spot on Oʻahu. It is on the pricier side, but the quality and freshness make it well worth it. Everything we ordered was authentic, flavorful, and incredibly fresh. My favorite was the toro nigiri, rich and buttery, and it melts in your mouth. The service was great and I am already looking forward to my next visit!

There is something deeply confusing about Mitch's Fish Market & Sushi Bar…read more Not bad confusing.Worse. Identity-crisis confusing. Because the fish?Excellent. Cold, clean, glistening with that dangerous little shimmer that tells you somebody in the supply chain actually cared. You can taste the quality immediately. The kind of quality that silences a table for half a second. And credit where it is due: almost everything I tried ranged from very good to genuinely great. But then the room begins speaking. And suddenly the spell breaks. The atmosphere feels like someone took a serious sushi counter, stripped away all sensuality, all elegance, all ritual, then dropped it inside a fluorescent island diner where exhausted civilians came to discuss parking validation and Costco receipts. It is the culinary equivalent of wearing a Rolex with orthopedic sneakers. The contradiction never stops humming beneath the experience. You sit there eating beautiful fish while surrounded by an energy that feels strangely... transactional. Heavy. Casual in the least flattering way. A room with no mystery. No seduction. No gravity. Like Zippy's accidentally wandered into the tuna trade and struck gold. And on an island like Oahu, where atmosphere matters almost as much as the fish itself that becomes a real problem. Because sushi is not merely consumption. It is theater.Restraint.Texture.Whispered precision. The best sushi spots on Oahu understand this instinctively. They understand that exceptional fish alone is not enough. You are paying for transportive experience. For mood. For elegance. For the feeling that the evening exists slightly outside ordinary life. At Mitch's, the fish reaches for Tokyo while the room drags you back toward a tired strip mall off the freeway. And then there's the crowd. Not evil people. Not rude people. Just an oddly low-rent energy orbiting genuinely premium seafood. The kind of room where one table is eating remarkable otoro while another feels one argument away from discussing used-car financing over soy sauce packets. It creates dissonance. Especially considering the prices. Because at those prices, you begin comparing the full experience not merely the fish quality and that is where Mitch's stumbles hard. There are multiple sushi spots across Oahu that equal or surpass the seafood while also delivering beauty, atmosphere, intimacy, and actual emotional texture. So what remains is this strange contradiction: Mitch's serves fish far above the dignity of its own ambience Which almost makes it fascinating. Would I be back - no . You can get same and better quality fish, much better vine, better part of town for the same Price.
