I have frequented this place for a long, long time and remember it even before it had its renovations and changes. Although the decor of the place is much cuter and has a better "theme" the prices and portions are not like they used to be. A lot of extra charges for items that were free before and the menu is a bit confusing as the screens above the food bar has images of the bowls but the options to build your own bowl is in very small letters on the glass with numerous prices and extra charges printed. The staff was kind and greeted us, however they must have been solo without the manager as they seemed a bit confused on how to create the dishes and how to use the cash wrap. I still think it tastes good but I know I won't be frequenting as much as I used to. I absolutely love this place. My boyfriend and I have been coming here almost every week (if not more often) since the beginning of the year. The place is cute, the music is always great, and all the workers are fantastic! They are all super nice and friendly. The poke is one of the best in the area. I love poke and I have gone to sooo many different ones. It is extremely tasty, the portions are a really good size and it's really high quality. Poke bowl places are finally becoming more popular in south Florida, and I had to stop by after seeing all the good reviews. Pros -Decent price for its size: $13 for a bowl and they used something similar to a soup ladle for good-sized portions of topping -fresh tasting fish -environmentally friendly: compostable bowl containers (including the lids!) and paper bags! -free parking in the back lot Cons -charges $1 extra for Wakame (seaweed salad) or avocado -If you like fruit in your poke, I didn't see any sweet fruit topping options like pineapple or mango when I was there unfortunately Overall great--I'll definitely add this on my list of poke bowl places. We had passed by Poke + Go for quite some time now as we drive home on Miami Gardens Drive and didn't really pay it much attention. However, I came across Poke + Go on Yelp recently and it looked really good! Poke + Go is located on Miami Gardens Drive in Aventura, right across from the newer/modern mixed use commercial building (a block or two from Biscayne). There is plenty of free parking behind the restaurant. We went into the restaurant on a weekday evening and were greeted by one of their staff members. We needed a few minutes to study the menu since it was our first time there and he offered to answer any questions we had. You select your base at first - we both selected the Go Bowl with zucchini noodles ($13). You then select your protein, we both selected the teriyaki chicken. Extra protein is $4, but we felt the normal portion was sufficient. You then can move on to the mix-ins/toppings section and you can select as many of these as you want. There are some premium mix-ins for an additional cost. You then select your sauce and sprinkles in the final section. All of the mix-ins/toppings (particularly the herbs/veggies) were all very fresh, and were very healthy options for a dinner. We wanted to end the meal with the soft serve, but the soft serve machine was not working when we were there. I was kinda disappointed about that, but hopefully they'll have it working in the future. After a morning of kayaking at nearby Oleta River State Park, we craved good Poke and they delivered on that front! What made this place stand out was the number of specialty bowls you can build - giving me good inspiration for building my own - you can go fully custom if you want! There are enough choices to make it nearly overwhelming for a poke-beginner. That said, you'll eat fresh, filling, and highly nutritious at Poke+Go. I would definitely return when in the area. It's absolutely not worth it anymore and you can see it scrolling through the photos of the bowls throughout the years and how they've gotten dramatically smaller. I used to be able to get a meal and a half out of a bowl and now I'm barely full off one bowl :( Things that used to be free (masago) are now an extra charge and some of the old "premium" add-one (avocado) don't look appealing anymore (it's guacamole instead of the avocado slices) And like the service is good enough (after asking about why masago was an extra charge, the cashier took it off my bill and explained why which was very kind of them) but no amount of good service can change my mind about how overpriced and underwhelming this place has become. I hope that one day this place will return to what it used to be but for now I'm not going to pay more money to get less food. read more

If you've never had a Poke Bowl, this is the place you should definitely come which is located off Miami Gardens and just west of Biscayne Blvd. It's basically a deconstructed sushi roll that has all the delicious proteins, veggies and sauce usually with white rice or brown rice. They have parking behind the building and although there's another group of businesses next door with a separate parking lot, they seem to share the spots. 5/5 I ordered the Slamin' Salmon $12.00 and opted for zucchini noodles instead of rice, topped it off with avocado ($1.00 more) and added spicy mayo and white garlic sauce. The outcome was amazing, the fish really fresh and the complete bowl leaving me craving for another one. 5/5 Also ordered was the Salmon Teriyaki $13.00, also topped with avocado $1.00, and additional teriyaki sauce. The rice was perfectly steamed, and along with the well thought of ingredients, another winner and delicious bowl. They also offer the same concoction in burrito form at a lower price, but I prefer the bowl since it's less messy and easier to eat. Another Poke addition to SoFlo but this one is in my hood, North Miami. Yay! Parking can be tough during lunch hours as it shares the lot with Aroma Espresso Bar and Give Wink Baby Kids Store. The place is a bit small, roughly about 8 tables inside and couple of long picnic style tables outside. What makes this place a little different form other Poke is you can either opt for a burrito or bowl version of any of the Poke concoctions. Burritos are $9 - $10 and bowls are $12 - $13. On my 1st visit, I got the Baked Dynamite (seafood dynamite, avocado, wakame, tomatoes, scallions, pickled ginger drizzled with sweet teriyaki sauce). The ingredients were fresh and liked the warm seafood topping mixed with the sweetness of the teriyaki. I tried the Tuna Crunch on my 2nd visit and it was similar to the other bowl but this had tuna mixed with crunchies and drizzled with spicy mayo. I opted for zucchini noodles for base on both occasions but they do offer baby kale as well as brown or white rice. This place is definitely a good healthy option in my area and its close to my home so will be back again. read more

Very disappointing, seeing it's 4.5 stars. I'm from the west coast, and spent time in Hawaii, so I know a thing about poke. This place is overpriced. $13 for two scoops of fish. They don't have spicy tuna, nor spicy salmon. Their version is getting tuna and mixing it with spicy mayo. They don't have spicy ponzu sauce, and when I asked the guy for some, he put spicy mayo. I asked him why didn't he tell me that before putting spicy mayo on it, and he replied with, "my bad." People need to relearn to say, "sorry." "My bad" for coming here and giving them my money. It was the last day of our vacation and we had decided to make it our food tour day. We went in telling ourselves we would order no more than 2 items to share. We opted for 1 bowl and 1 burrito - poke dokie bowl and baked dynamite burrito. All of the sauces sounded delicious so we asked if we could sample a few before we made the decision on which sauce we wanted. We weren't too fond of any of the sauces but liked the white garlic the best. After trying both items, we weren't really impressed by either of them. There was a lot of flavor lacking in both protein choices. We wanted to like this place because we love their other restaurant, Go Bistro, but unfortunately it just didn't do it for us. Pros: - Great variety of fresh toppings (loved it when places have lotus chips!) - Zucchini noodles!! - Great friendly service Cons: - They were out of water when we got there and we almost finished our food before they switched out the bottles. - Silverware/napkins were running low. We shared one napkin - Protein to veggie proportion was not balanced, when I looked at other yelp pictures it looked like they received more protein and less veggies than we did. So we might have just been unlucky. - Flavors were definitely lacking. Both items tasted very basic. - There were bugs flying outside which caused us to be pretty grossed out. My tastes change from day to day I need you to understand. Having said that, the quality is so fresh, and the ingredients are so rich and colorful and tasty, you will perk up and wonder why you had not tried the flavors sooner. QUANTITY The size of any given menu item, be it a bowl or wrap or anything else is of a great size. There is a small (kids portion?) as well as the regular (adult portion?) CROWD The crowd is typically younger to middle age. The idea of POKÉ may still be new to a lot of folks - example would be myself trying to explain to my parents. Sure, the concept is simple, and all the ingredients are items you have had previously, however when something new is coined, folks often become weary I have noticed, if outside the norm. however at POKÉ + GO! the crowd knows what they want, and the line moves very quickly. This may be thanks to the easy too follow menu board, however I feel the crowd is sharp and on their game. SERVICE Is you may be able to gather from the notes above, yes, the service at POKÉ + GO! is fantastic. As you walk in, you are greeted with a "HELLO" or "HI" from all staff and the service continues as you move down the line all the way to the pay counter. The folks are always ready to meet my ever-changing ideas of how my POKÉ should like and taste and they are always happy to explain each and every ingredient, should you need help with what WAKAME, or POKE actually is. Service is not underrated and places such as POKÉ + GO! however it is great to note that the service does stand out compared to other chain or mom and pop style establishments. PARKING Yes, of course I have to discuss parking and with the location being right on a main street, parking could be challenging. POKÉ + GO! has countered this problem with communal parking in the back of the restaurant and the spots are a plenty. Sure, POKÉ + GO! shares the back lot with other local business, however each time I have ever been, parking has been fine and even in the rain, a simple process. Whew. Stress relieved. EXTRA All in all, I have yet to find a negative reason not to have all my friends, family and other visit POKÉ + GO! and see for themselves, just how fresh, clean and great tasting POKÉ is. The white garlic sauce on the slammin' salmon bowl was perfect and the ratio of fish to rice was spot on. In terms of speedy, from order time to out the door takeout was under 15 mins.
