I have moved 21 times This is the worst company to try to do business. I have been billed 3 months of storage fees because they changed or cancelled the dates. They say they will pick up at 7am without notice they do not arrive til after 8pm. Delaying our departure for MI. The lie about everything for q2 hours they were in the area...no delivery per driver not even scheduled. Wish you had negative stars there would not be enough! Unfortunately I don't like leaving bad reviews but the pods experience was disturbing. When moving from de to Sarasota the men that showed up (suggested from their web sight were inexperienced and horrible packers. We requested someone from pods be there upon opening. That was refused. The items were damaged and broken. My wife sent pictures to pods upon request for broken items. After receiving the photos they stated they are not responsible for broken items they didn't pack and the pods container was not damaged. We're outta approximately 3000 in damages. Why did they request photos if they already had it in mind to refuse any responsibility when they knew we used their preferred movers. We had called pods when they were loading it there were problems. Very remorseful for not using a moving company. read more

Please, be aware, if you are considering hiring PODS to help you with your next move. We hired PODS to help with a cross country move in June of 2023. At first, things went smoothly but when the driver was leaving after picking up our POD, he accidently hit a concrete parking stopper and it shattered. One of my neighbors SAW this happen, in real time and immediately brought it to my attention. It is Nov. 3 and not only is this case still open but PODS is denying the incident ever happened. Even after a live witness account was shared along with pictures taken 4 min. after they left. Simply be mindful that while PODS may sound like a viable option, if PODS causes any damage, they will not take any accountability and the financial repercussions will fall on your shoulders, even when PODS is clearly in the wrong. P.S., When and IF you post something on YELP from PODS they will immediately send a "Sorry for your experience" automated response. Ironically, they give you a website to send your complaint to and while I have been using the same website they suggested, this case is still open. Again, look at other alternatives than PODS, they simply don't stand by their product or claims made on their website/advertising channels. read more

PODS delivered to the place we were moving from and to on time however when it came to picking up the PODS from the house we moved to they... 1) canceled at the last minute for the first POD pick up saying they'd pick them both up 2 days later. 2) 2 days later they came late and picked up only one POD and it was the wrong one. Same old story -- I shipped my items from Honolulu, HI to Venice, FL. Honolulu PODS was fine. I scheduled shipment of my items to arrive in Florida before the end of October 2022 -- OVER $6,000 delivery charge!!!!! Comes the end of October 2022 and still no items, and no call or email or document from PODS to advise of when my items will arrive in Venice, FL. FINALLY, I HAVE TO CALL PODS to request an update on the status of my order, they say the POD had been delivered to their facility, but they could not deliver my items before my monthly storage charge because they were overbooked and could not handle their customer load AND REFUSED TO PRORATE THE DAILY RATE SO THAT I HAVE TO PAY THE ENTIRE MONTH'S RENTAL FEE FOR 3 DAYS.... $450 later and an EXTRA delivery charge of $150 and 3 weeks later than expected... BULLSHIT! WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER RECOMMEND OR USE PODS IN THE FUTURE. read more

Terrible Customer Service........PODS has no ability to contact their local franchises and make demands to correct problems. My pick up is now four days late and counting. There is no definitive pick up date as of this review. A customer can not contact a local office directly as, no local phone numbers are published and PODS refuses to share local contact information with a Customer. Beware of the rental agreement. We used a pod for about one month, moving from one location to another. While the pod was in their possession, the container leaked and soaked a mattress that is less than two years old and because I didn't opt for extra insurance, we lose. Pods claims no responsibility for their leaky container and considers the matter closed. We are left with a ruined mattress less than two years old. I have no idea what a "DM" is, but my claim number with pods is 1571948. I have already submitted pictures and a copy of the invoice to support my claim. Your container leaked water and my mattress is ruined and I am now told because I didn't purchase additional insurance, pods has no further responsibility.... Beware of these people, if you try to call to reach a customer service agent, the wait time on hold will be more than 20 minutes....great customer service - they take your money and then you won't be able to speak with anyone unless you want to wait on-hold for 20 or more minutes. They have you submit all kinds of information to support your claim about their defective (leaking container) pod and then kindly tell you -sorry, you didn't purchase the extra insurance so we (pods) have no responsibility to ensure that we are providing a container that is water tight. Why didn't someone just tell me up front that pods has zero responsibility for whatever you choose to store in their container.....we had a reasonable expectation that the container would be weather tight or we would have taken a different path. read more

I had a bad experience with PODS. First of all my POD got infested with ANTS, multiple things were broken during the move so it is not a smooth move. Also I was told that the final pickup of the empty POD would not have a charge but I was in fact charged $75...... Stay away from PODS and just get a moving truck. read more

PODS company is nation wide, the location identified is the most local to me presently, Englewood Florida, however I initiated my move in Ogden Utah. I incurred water damage that ruined some of my merchandise that was authorized by PODS to discard. I have neighbor witnesses and pictures when unpacking the POD identifying the damage was incurred during transportation. I drove a similar route and drove through tremendous rain that resulted in inches of water on the freeway that undoubtedly was the cause of the water damage. PODS refuses to reimburse me for my losses in which I was very conservative with my estimated damages. There claim is that their insurance doesn't cover this type of damage and that they didn't discover damages to the POD I used. Even though damages are not being questioned and that the damages occurred while my belongings were in their possession they still refuse any accountability. I have American Express investigating and the amount of damages are being held till the investigation is complete. I've called and emailed several times attempting resolution without success. They continue to send harrasing emails ignoring the topic and insisting on payment. read more
