BUYER BEWARE!!! Public Storage DOES NOT return any prorated amount at the end of your stay. You pay on the 1st, and even if you move out on the 2nd, tough luck, you've paid, AND you've signed the lease that I'm sure says this policy somewhere in it. What they won't do is tell you upfront that they're going to keep your money. Meanwhile, if you don't move in on the 1st, they sure will prorate the number of days left in the month and charge you for them. So that means that they have already charged the previous renter for however many days were left in the month AND they're also charging you. Double-dipping, not being clear and communicative with their policies, and being an absolute brick wall at each of the four different attempts to get them to return our money all have left me with a sour taste and a certainty that they won't be getting my business again, nor anyone I know if I can help it. So, while having a policy is a business prerogative, having a policy that the public would have no reason to be aware of (because other storage facilities DO return your paid days based on proration), not taking the initiative to make the clientele aware of a policy that will cost them, and worst of all, being intractable in customer service dealings, are all very poor business choices indeed. read more

I am an auction unit buyer and will never deal with this facility again. Tyler is an idiot. I presented my sales tax resale certificate, and after an hour of back and forth with his district manager, they did not accept it. They had the information, said it wasn't complete, but all the info they need is on it, and the rest of the form is "confidential" and not to be shared. Two days prior at another Public Storage in Ft Myers, and another one about a month prior in Naples, neither had an issue with this information. There is a box to check in their system and he didn't feel comfortable clicking it. I even called the other facility in Ft Myers and asked her to help, and she said it was easy to do, but Tyler didn't want to lose his job over this! There is a BOX IN THEIR SYSTEM FOR THIS!!! WHY IS IT EVEN THERE??? Screw Tyler and his bosses. These people need to get back in line for a brain. All this for $25 damn dollars. i rented a storage unit 3 years ago and i can't believe how much the unit keeps going up. my unit is triple the price and that is ridiculous! i have called them multiple times and the corporate office as well. i went there a couple months ago to get some items and mostly clothes and shoes. i started noticing tiny black and white bugs in my sheets. to my horror i have bed bugs. this has been a complete nightmare. my entire mattress is covered with bugs. when you are paying almost 400 a month they need to protect your belonging. i can't imagine that they would not do this. i have no idea why they don't spray. i'm so stressed out over this. i will keep everyone posted. i'm just sick over this read more

I agree with all those who have found Public Storage on Jacaranda in Venice, FL, to be incredibly clean. Also, Jeff was beyond helpful and was about the nicest person to deal with I have ever seen. They had a great promotion on and I think this is a terrific business - especially with such great employees. I had some trouble getting the space and discount I wanted online on my phone (because it was a new iPhone) and Jeff was extremely patient and helpful allowing me to ask him questions. His assistance made the sign up experience very smooth. Since then, he has always been at the ready with anything I needed for boxes and access issues. Jeff is helpful, professional, and cheerful! They do what they offer to do. It's expensive but they have a lot of specials all year round. I got lucky and landed on one when I needed it. The moving in process was simple enough, the free available carts were a nice surprise and very helpful. Yeah, no notes. It's a storage unit. read more
