Gabe, you still don't get it. You would rather debate on Yelp, then just pay what you owe me and move on. And hopefully learn a lesson and take responsibility for his own mistake. Let's be clear: I contacted him about the issue, and I even spoke with his wife--who acknowledged it and offered reimbursement. That offer was never honored. Instead, I got excuses and denial. So I did what I had to do. I disputed the charge, and the credit card company ruled in my favor and issued a partial refund. All of this over $400--which didn't even come close to covering the TV that was damaged because of his work. Instead of handling a simple problem like a professional, Gabe chose to drag this out, damage his own reputation, and lose future business. At this point, the negative reviews online speak for themselves--and I make sure to share my experience with anyone considering using him. This wasn't complicated. Absolutely the worst moving company I ever hired. They did not deliver 4 containers, including 2 containers full of Jewellery made for nurses in the cancer department at a hospital, one container with 6 original painters, one with toilet paper and kleenex paper and a ladder. They loaded my furniture without padding even they said they would pad and shrink wrap the furniture. They broke five pieces of furniture and a floor mirror. They show up five hours later in Ft Lauderdale and then showed up at 1:00 am in Venice. In addition, they charged an extra $500 plus to the bill and attempted to hold our furniture by saying they cannot take our items off the truck without the payment and signing to say we received our items before we did. Customer service was horrible. No desire to resolve the matter at all. No accountability for the missing items or broken furniture. No professionalism. Their quality of service is the lowest I have ever experienced. We contacted Wellen Moving Services (Gabriel & Kari) to move us from Venice, FL to Gulf Breeze, FL. Original quote from Gabriel was $5,470.00. The week before the move they wanted to reassess, (it had been a few months, which they were aware of). Price went up to $8,200.00. Kari stated since I had no invoice (I did have an invoice) that she didn't have to honor that price. 26 pieces of furniture damaged - scratched/gouged/torn. Not enough blankets to properly cover furniture, only brought wardrobe boxes. No small/medium/large boxes. Boxes crammed with anything that would fit, breakables/art in bottom of boxes not properly protected. Filed a claim with their insurance. After months of providing documentation, photos, estimates for repairs. Their insurance replied with: "After completing our review, we've identified coverage concerns under our insured's policy that prevent us from providing coverage for this matter. Accordingly, we are unable to handle or pay this loss on behalf of our insured." read more

They did an incredible job of moving all of my things to my new residence. They work hard and don't take long breaks like most movers do. I think Bo worked the hardest! They were the worst! I paid them to pack and move me. The "packing" consisted of the workers throwing everything loosely in boxes, with no care about what the items were. They didn't take all of my belongings off the walls, there were multiple closets that they didn't even open! The garage was not even touched! Every single one of the items that I told them not to move, was loaded and taken to my new home! In addition, the workers left open containers at both the home I moved out of as well as my new home. When I called to inquire on the remainder of the items and the lack of concern for my things, I didn't receive a return call or email from anyone at the company. read more

I can't say enough great things about Wellen Movers with Gabriel and Kari. I was moving on the first to Delray Beach, Fl...3 1/2 hours away. Gabriel was on time and although I didn't have an entire home in boxes there was plenty there for him to move. He followed me down Rt. 70 all the way. I am temporarily staying at Kings Point for a few months. An old one-room apt with a stairs. My real estate agent was supposed to have the key to the lift for Gabriel to move the boxes up to the second floor. When we pulled up, there was no key. I was infuriated with the realtor.I told Gabriel I would try to find the main office for the key and I would be right back. Anyother mover might have dumped the boxes and left, but Gabriel brought everything up the stairs for me why I was searching for help. I came back empty-handed and I was so upset.
