Hanks' moved our furniture into and out of storage post hurricane. On the positive side, dishes and glassware were exceptionally well packed and all came back in perfect shape. On the other hand, nearly every piece of furniture was scratched or nicked. Things were lost and broken. A cushion on a brand new $1,750 chair was gone, and the return mover blamed the mover who removed it (both were Hank's). Delicate things were packed in boxes too small and had corners broken off. I would say the 3 stooges moved our stuff back into our home, but that would be insulting to the 3 stooges. Stay away from Hank's. Neighbors had the same type of problems. If your contractor recommends them, demand someone else. read more

Hank and his employees are the BEST. We needed an extremely heavy buffet with granite top moved out of the sellers' home into our trailer. I know a lot of people had a good experience with this moving company but I did not and would not recommend them. The owner Tom got very defensive when I called him to let him know that there were a few things that he might not be aware of with how my belongings were handled and that he misjudged on what size storage unit I needed. My belongings are now crammed in a storage unit and it is difficult to remove anything for fear of it falling on me. I won't be able to see all the damage until the unit is emptied but my leather sofa was never protected and heavy bed rails are laying on top and there is damage. They drove away with my 3 TVs and the bottom of my antique table. they called my sister who had to meet them at a gas station and stacked the TV's in her small car. The owner accused me of not showing him everything in my house that was to be moved across the state. He saw everything and misjudged. No apology just called me a viper which was uncalled for and very unprofessional. Choose another company and stay away from this one. read more

The entire crew was fantastic. They worked extremely hard, were friendly, courteous and professional. They took care of all our furniture and very carefully handled our more fragile items. I took the recommendation from someone on this group for Hanks Moving, Inc. Two of the workers were great, the main guy was grumpy to say it mildly. But the real issue here that over $3500 worth of my husband's collectable knives and copper coins were stolen. When I called the owner, he didn't even say he would look into it. He said my guys aren't thieves, so someone else must have taken them. Well, they were locked up in a storage bin and in a undetectable container, and no one had access to them. He said "file a police report". Clearly, not a first. He didn't even say, let me look into it. He knows and works the system on the unknowing new people or elderly. Well, these are knives my husband collected over the years, some during four combat tours to Iraq and Afghanistan. So, it isn't just money, there is any price on some things. We tipped them generously and had a refreshment together at the end of the job. Then a few weeks later when we had time to go through the locked storage items, we discovered that Hank's Moving Inc stole from us. Shameful. Absolutely low with no conscience. read more

Was given a hourly quote but when the job was completed was given a flat rate which was $300 more than if it had been hourly. The workers did a great job but that effort was ruined when the owner changed the charges. read more

I have moved 4 times in the past 4 years and used local as well as well-known nation wide moving companies. 'Hank's Moving' of Englewood, FL was by far the best moving experience I have had. All 3 movers were efficient and took great care of my furniture. I found NO damage to any of my belongings and I have very heavy furniture. The movers arrived on time and didn't take breaks. The estimate was spot on and the cost was very reasonable. I couldn't be happier. If I was still in the area I would use their services again. Highly recommended! read more

Maybe good for small moves, but not so much for further destinations and larger homes. Make sure you have them send someone over to see what they are moving first, otherwise, you could end up like us; without a moving company 5 days before the move. We had contacted them one month before the move and sent over numerous pictures of items being moved and a detailed list of the items. We encouraged them to come see the items, as a relative lived only a short distance away from the house we were moving from. More than once I was told that they could for sure fit all items in their truck, even assured me that they were 99.9 % sure that they could do it. Unfortunate for me, they couldn't. Actually, it ended up in my favor, because I ended up going with another professional moving company. I may have paid more, but at least they were careful. The other company used two large trucks for the move. Save yourself a headache; call another moving company. If I could have given a no-star rating, I would have. read more
