Never again. I'm experiencing the greatest regrets hiring this company, and it's not related to logistics at all, but the disorganized billing department. I had ordered my container 45 days prior to receiving it, and was told I would be billed to my credit card in phases. I didn't get the first charge until the day before the container arrived, which was a small delivery charge. The day before my container was supposed to be picked up, I had to order another container. On this day, pods attempted to charge me the total amount of the first container and the second container at once, exceeding my card limit and disrupting logistics. The company called and collected payment from me using my debit card. However now, my containers are arriving late, my credit card company won't re-establish my credit line, although the card was paid in full, and pods is attempting to send more charges. They are a total MESS. Now, I won't be able to use my credit card for my upcoming hotel reservations due to pods incompetent practices. I could've had my first container paid in full way in advance, but pods sat on their hands, and now I suffer for it. Never again. read more

I called pods to have a container set for storage at a time I would be in the area. After gong through the process, delivery was changed on the website to a different date, a date I would no be around to fill the container. I called CS & was told that they could manually change the days. After they had done so, I expressed concern that the new dates were not reflected on the website. I called back multiple times,each time I was assured that the dates would be changed. Today, they day I needed the pod - no show. I called, they said that it looked like delivery is due 3 days from now, when I won't be there - I was pissed. Do not use, ever. read more

If it was possible to give it a 0 I would. We as a military family are used to move all over the country and have used different types of companies and never had any problems with it. But at this time it was different we paid for pods moving and storage to come and drop off the box at our driveway. They were supposed to be here between 11:30am to 2:30pm. I made time on my schedule to be there on time to Scort them inside of the military base. But somehow they decided to come earlier when I was not able to be there and before my window time they left not to come back in about 4 days. When we tried to call to resolve the problem we were not able to speak with a supervisor. Do not use this company they will not be able to connect you with anybody who is the responsible person for the company. We spend 5 hours on the phone and nothing was done. The PODS nightmare is alive and well. You need to watch them like a hawk. They will mess up your order or miscommunicate and if you don't catch it right away you're SOL. Why? Because they have zero flexibility and they make it worse by acting like they will help you. I have been told repeatedly someone would reach out and they never do. Lying is how they handle it. They offered me a refund and just charged my card again. They are very likely to mess up your move and it won't be fixable. Your stuff will be weeks late. read more

Completely unimpressed. At no point in the booking process was it made clear that our now delivered and full container could not be picked up within 15 (!!) days of drop off. For a company that touts convenience and encourages use of the web booking frankly ridiculous to not state that p/u could be that far out. This from the site is incredibly vague "As dates are subject to availability, we recommend scheduling your container deliveries, pick-ups, and moves as soon as possible -- at least 7 days in advance." Had a similar experience to most with Pods - started out great and went terribly wrong afterward: Booked Pods to put my stuff in storage due to COVID and waited for my plans to finalize for a move to Florida before booking and confirming my move date. The initial move was quoted for Tampa, FL. Two months later due to job changes I needed to update my move-to location to Bonita Springs, FL. The rest was just an absolute nightmare: - August 14th - I called and received a new quote written via email with the new cost of the move to Bonita -August 21st - after signing the lease to my apartment I called back to confirm the drop-off date and my quoted "delivery charge" increased by over $400. I was told by two different agents that my other quote "must be wrong" and I was stuck with that price even though I had a completely different one in writing from their company. Note - this was not the cost for the long-distance shipment, just the amount to drop the container in the parking lot -Early September - I called and asked if the delivery time for the Pod is only confirmed the night before, or if it is currently in the system. I explained I was trying to book my movers to unload the Pod and wasn't sure if I should confirm for the day of delivery, or the day after. The agent assured me it was confirmed in the system for 7-10 AM. Movers were booked for the day of the move and I looked forward to being reunited with my belongings.. . THE NIGHT BEFORE THE MOVE - turns out my Pod was being delivered between 5-7 *PM* What commenced was 1.5 hours on the phone with Pods - I asked if I could go directly to the facility (with the movers) to unload the pod there instead and they said there was no direct phone number to call the facility "and no one is answering the phone - you could just go there and walk around and try to flag someone down" UNREAL. Movers were canceled and rescheduled but I thought, "oh well, at last, I will finally be done with PODs." Nope - the last and final surprise was that apparently, they do not pro-rate their storage fees. I am actively paying to store my Pod at the facility even though the container was picked up over a week ago. I have never heard of ANYTHING like that. Even the cable companies pro-rate and credit your bill when you cut-off service. Every step of the way PODs screwed us. When I initially called in July to schedule for our October move the guy took all of my info, scheduled my move, and said I could set up city service later and that it was $3-400. I called the next day to set up city service and they have no record of my reservation and surprise, city service is $500. I say fine, no big deal, this stuff happens. Day of move - they don't show up, the $500 city service we had reserved several months in advance, doesn't show up. I call PODs and they tell us "oh we had truck problems A WEEK ago and so we moved your move date", claim they left a voicemail but we never got it, no one talked to us on the phone and we didn't receive an email or anything, they just changed our move date on us without confirming anything with us. They tell me that they have very specialized trucks and everyone on that Saturday had their move in date changed on them. I later find out this is a lie, one of the PODs people I talked to let slip that the available truck already had two runs that day which is their maximum - we scheduled our move THREE MONTHS in advance and still got bumped, despite their suggestion of scheduling a couple weeks in advance to secure your move date - what a joke. So, the day before we are supposed to be out of our apartment we find out we have no truck, and no way to move, can't get a uhaul the same day - we're screwed. Our 60 year old parents come over with their SUVs and we drive 45 minutes across DC on a Saturday several times to get all of our stuff into a POD at their warehouse. We think ok, off to a rocky start, but it's done! Our stuff is in a POD, we're good to go. We were wrong. We drive from DC to Grand Junction, CO via I-70 from Denver. We literally drive a good bit of the way next to a PODs transport truck and think "sweet! PODs comes out here!" We call PODs when we arrive in Grand Junction to schedule our delivery, they say it'll probably cost us DOUBLE delivery as we aren't near a distribution center, we are annoyed but say fine what cost are we looking at (ballpark 6k when initially quoted 2-3k) oh wait - SURPRISE - they don't deliver out here. Why? You deliver to Denver, and you deliver to Salt Lake City via I-70, literally pass us, but you won't come out here? Nope. Despite all their claims that they store and deliver to you "anywhere in between" they refuse to deliver our POD to us when we are on a major highway that they use regularly. We say fine, we'll figure it out, please deliver our POD to the Denver warehouse and we'll come and get our stuff. They say "whoopsie, we can't ship your POD for another few weeks", we're irritated but say fine, ship our stuff, we just want to be done. So now, apparently, our best choice is to drive 4 hours to Denver, rent a uhaul, get our stuff from our POD, and drive 4 hours back (or pay ANOTHER moving company to get and transport our stuff, but at this point PODs has bled us dry). The nice customer service rep and manager offer us a 10% discount on shipping because of all the issues we've had - we're very grateful because now we need to use that money for a uhaul. We're pissed but we have a plan and we'll finally be free of stupid PODs. A few days before we are set to get access to our POD we call to confirm that our POD has actually arrived in Denver - nope - running late but should be there in time for us to get it this coming weekend. I call next day and our POD has arrived in Denver - yay! Oh but wait, we won't be allowed to access our POD unless we pay a $250 storage fee for the upcoming month. What? We called to retrieve our POD within our included first month of storage. Why are we getting charged an additional month? Oh, because PODs delayed shipment of our POD, so that we were pushed into a second month (and conveniently forgot to tell us), and now our stuff is essentially being held hostage unless we pay. Again, no email, no call, just a hold on our account that we had no idea existed. We pay the exorbitant monthly fee for storage, drive across state, get a uhaul, get our stuff from PODs and are finally free from them THANKS TO UHAUL. Save your money, and your time, and your sanity and just use uhaul for goodness sake. *I would like to note that a majority of the customer service reps and warehouse workers we encountered were friendly and helpful and our items arrived without damage, it seems to just be PODs as a company and their policies that screwed us. read more

We contracted pods for an interstate move. The customer service people were very helpful and friendly. Two pods were off , filled and picked up. The next day two more were to be delivered . The third was delivered . I called to ask about the fourth and they said he's arrive shortly. He arrived and started delivering. I saw him taking the pod off the truck . I don't stay outside go watch. I heard some loud noises and one loud noise. I didn't think anything of it. Shortly after I looked out and the driver was gone and he didn't leave the pod. I called , customer service put me on hold to contact the driver. They couldn't explain what happened . They sent another driver , who delivered another pod. They were filled. When they took them away I discovered the driveway was smashed in! Something (the pod!) was clearly dropped on it. I called pods and told them what happened and the filed a claim. Our closing which was the next day is now delayed a week. After five days pods has denied the claim . They won't even come out to look at it ! They claim the contract we signed with pods releases then from any liability since it includes a section where we have verified the surface we asked the pod to be placed on was stable abc could support the weight. The surface was stable ....but they dropped the corner of a pod on it! I keep asking what is the drivers explanation as to what happened- why didn't he deliver the pod ?! They won't tell me . The repair is $4000- and now we will have to pay it! It's unconscionable! I would never use them again and will tell everyone I know not to. They have insurance for these things ....why not just admit fault to the damage ? There is no other explanation as to what could've happened ! POD moving & storage is outrageously over priced and has hidden fees! There's apickup, delivery and a drop off fee! There monthly storage is same price as a one bedroom rental! On their website it claims that the 16 foot container is, "Our largest moving and storage unit size, and a popular choice for moving a home with 3 to 4 rooms." That's a lie. Even after reducing our home goods by at least 50% before we put the house on the market, AND leaving one bed and a sectional for the new owners, this POD was nowhere close to fitting our 1500 sq foot home. Maybe if all you have in each room is one or two pieces of furniture and very limited personal items, or ordered 2 or 3 PODS. Now we will have to rent an additional Uhaul truck on the day of the move. I could have just got the truck and used the money I spent on PODS to hire movers the same day so I could actually relax. What a joke. Additionally, they won't give you any option other than leaving your card on auto pay. So you just have to trust they are going to do the right thing and not screw you over, resulting in a massive headache disputing the charges. Judging by the horrible reviews here where that exact thing has happened many times...I don't know if that's a safe bet? It's up to you. Also, they charge by the month and won't prorate anything. So you go one day over and you've just paid hundreds of dollars for a POD you don't need for another month. If they don't have time to get your POD then you will pay for the additional month, even if it's on them that they don't have the window open for pickup. They recommend scheduling pick up the day they drop it off, but when moving around you may not have the exact date or even an address yet. So I don't think that's realistic. Awful experience. They exclusively use overseas operators who either cannot understand you or you cannot understand. They never sent me any email because they couldn't understand what I was saying and got the email wrong. Never, ever, ever listen to PODS recommendations for additional moving help. To load myPOD, they recommend HIRE A HELPER. Still waiting for Hire a Helper to resolve the COMPLETELY POOR AND DESTRUCTIVE SERVICE provided by their contractors. Not only were these guys total misogynists, but when I unloaded my pod, most of my boxes were crushed. My movers at the other end of the journey were horrified: "Who did this to you? This is a disaster. You should get a total refund. it's going to take us extra time to unload this pod because this is all such a mess we can't untangle it." How do you pack a pod in such a way that broken China is littering the floor of the storage area in the end? My initial call of complaint was supposed to result in at least a partial refund....STILL WAITING. THESE FOLKS WERE PODS RECOMMENDATION FOR RELIABLE MOVING HELP. ABSOLUTE WORST! I booked a POD - scheduled delivery on a fully open day. They BILLED me. I received NO call the night before to designate the "3-hour delivery window" - and on the delivery day I called 5 different times including 8PM and kept being told "yes sir, you are scheduled - they could still show up tonight...." Every time they called the PODS delivery center (Fort Myers, FL) that was handling the delivery and noone answered phones, no return emails, no return calls - nothing. I had workers that had to leave early because they couldn't move the items out until the POD arrived. The next morning I got a call close to NOON saying "oh, they ran out of drivers but we can schedule you on the next available day" - which was 12 DAYS LATER!!! Still waiting for my refund 6 days later - but they had NO problem taking my money before even delivering the unit. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. read more

PODs finally called about the damage done back in July, She said the claim was denied she said that our video showed that we were there instructing a driver where to place the pod. I told her that was true but where the pod was placed is not where the damage is done the damage was done at the end of the driveway by the podzilla she said pods has no liability for structural integrity of the road and the driver's not responsible, it's not his job to determine the structural integrity of the road. There's nothing more that we can do the case is closed, she suggested we put a claim in with homeowners or have the condo association put a claim in with their insurance or take legal action. So trying to be responsible, and doing the right thing Was used against us. We didn't even have to be there but we wanted to show up when he was delivering it and we didn't have to send a video but we did. Lesson learned, I'll never use pods again. read more

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Customer service was the worst and when I got the quote to have my containers shipped, they claimed it was wrong by them but not their fault. I could have thrown the $28,000 into a fire and got more satisfaction than I did using them. Not to exaggerate, but I would not wish my experience with PODS on my worst enemy. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! I have recently moved with my wife and 9 month old baby and we used PODS. We were supposed to receive our POD on 9/15. We even received the message the evening before (9/14) that our POD would be delivered between 10:30am-1:30pm. Around 12p that day, I received a call that my POD was delayed...to the FOLLOWING WEEK! Everything we possess is in this POD and we are now in our empty house with nothing. When I asked where my POD was, they replied that it was just "in route", not at the warehouse it should be, and they had no way to track the actual geographic location (seems unbelievable in this day of age). My POD was supposed to be shipped on 9/5 and arrive at the local warehouse within 5-7 days (well before 9/15). That day, the employee that called me said he would contact the warehouse for accommodations to get the POD delivered sooner and get back to me right away. I have not heard from this employee since this phone call. The customer resolution team was also supposed to call me that day for compensation "as needed" for the delay and I have yet to hear from them too. I called again later that day and reached a new employee (PODS will never redirect your case to the same service person). This employee, Cindy, could not help much more but she at least she kept me on hold as she called the warehouse and submitted this to her supervisor Maria who was supposed to contact me again. Additionally my contract was changed without my verbal or electronic agreement because "it would not arrive that day, so it had to be changed". No...this means PODS BROKE its part of the contract not that it needs to be "updated"! A contract is between 2 parties, not the business doing what is best for their behalf. Sept 16: Cindy said she would call first thing in the morning for updates, which she did (only employee I am grateful for) but nothing new and she pinged Maria again to contact me. I have since called multiple times to reach Maria with multiple employees pinging and emailing her and she has not responded to me now 3 days later. That evening still no word from the warehouse or updates. Only that a scheduling dispute was submitted (I don't know what dispute there is...the POD didn't show up when it was promised). No word from Corrine, the agent assigned as my advocate (not a great advocate we will see). Sept 17: called first thing in the morning. Ariel/Uriel answered and said he couldn't help. Tried calling the warehouse with no response and left a voicemail to respond to them immediately. Refused my request to be transferred to a supervisor, said it needs to be scheduled. Called again and happened by chance to get Ariel/Uriel again and he called the warehouse again. No response. Called a third time, got an Adam who transferred me to Corrine's (my supposed advocate) voicemail. In her voicemail she said she would respond 24-48 HOURS LATER!!! That seems totally unacceptable to me. Regardless she was supposed to have contacted me 48-72 business hours later from 9/15 (still no word or reach out from her). Contacted them again that evening for an update. Still nothing. A "resolution" was suggested that I HIRE ANOTHER moving company to pull my stuff from my POD in the warehouse and move it to my house as other customers have done this before. Really??? Also this employee (can't remember name) left an email message to Maria to contact me ASAP. Nothing still from this supposed supervisor. Sept 18: Called in the evening and talked to Sarah. FINALLY an update. Local warehouse won't make accommodations and so the POD won't come until 9/22. The person who made that edit was supposed to contact me by phone and email, which never happened (unsurprising at this point). The scheduling dispute was closed without any of my knowledge. Sarah tried to transfer me to the advocacy team (something that until this point was forbidden to me) since Corrine didn't respond in the window of time she was allotted. Nothing and Sarah left yet ANOTHER message stating for somebody to contact me ASAP. This is just RIDICULOUS. I have been left in the dark this whole process with clashing abilities of what is allowed from employees. The lack of communication is totally unacceptable. I have now had to go out and get some meager supplies and we have to eat out every day to live because we have nothing. In this time of COVID, this is just unnecessary risk to me and my family. PODS has failed me to an almost indescribable level. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

Using pods to move? Beware! They refused to deliver my full pod to my new house because the driveway was too steep (it's not very steep at all: moving trucks had no problem with it). Also refused to leave it on the street claiming it was too narrow, or the parking strip (again too steep: it's only slightly off level). They then refused to refund my charges. Update: I was contact by a pods representative who offered to refund more charges if I'd sign an NDA and agree to remove all negative reviews (in violation of Yelp's terms of service). I can only imagine that many people take this offer and that the actual number of negative reviews for PODs would be much, much higher. They're a horrible company. It's been 16 days and still our POD has NOT been delivered, yet, payment in full was received BEFORE scheduling our delivery. Every day we call and are given a different story of why or where our POD is. We are in TX. We were told it was in San Antonio and this is where the original delivery would originate from (2.5 hours from our new home). When that delivery day came and went with no delivery of our POD, we called were told they were "trying to locate our POD." A few days later, we were informed it was located - in Pittsburgh, PA! Finally, we were told it would be delivered last night. This morning, NOTHING. We called, again and were told they could not "find our street." There was no phone call from the driver. We were then asked by PODS customer service to send us a "Pin Drop" in an email to them. A simple Google search of our address would have given both their driver and customer service the exact location. We then sent the email, called PODS Customer Service and told "it takes about an hour for emails to come through" so they STILL could not confirm if there would be a delivery. We were also told we would get a credit, but that has also been MIA...maybe it's with our POD. read more

Huge mistake using this company. I ordered a pod and it turned into extra charges as the driver did not position the pod properly on my property despite repeated instruction on the phone while the pod was being delivered / positioned on my property. After about two hours of telephone communication with various representatives, and being told I would not have to pay the repositioning fee, I have been charged about $88 so far to reposition. It still has not arrived at the storage center. Each day I call, they say it will arrive at the storage center, each day it does not. Totally Dissatisfied with your company! I have been dealing with your company for a little over 1 month now and to say the least I has been the worst part of my total gut rehab of my home in Tucson. From the start of first billing and delivery - wrong size of Pod, overbilling and double billing, locked out of system, a nightmare trying to add another month due to contractor's delayed, after adding another month your company came that day to pick it up with my belonging in it, and so so much more! Your company has giving me nothing but grief. I can't even talk to any supervisor or manager at anytime. You and your business practices should be totally ashamed!!! When we finish with our project well will be blasting all social media, filing complaints etc.... Myself and my other half are going let the public know what a nightmare experience we have had with your company... The billing dept for PODS is a total debacle. BEWARE! We were overcharged and have tried repeatedly to get someone to fix it, to no avail. I booked online for a delivery on a Saturday. The driver called me that Saturday to say he was 40 minutes away, to deliver the POD. He never showed up. When I called his phone number back it went to voicemail. The next day, I called the PODS 1-800 number and they were unable to tell me why the POD was never delivered. It turns out PODS uses franchises and the tech told me they couldn't contact that franchise because it was a Sunday. So I had to wait for the Monday to have my POD delivered. Today is Monday and I called the PODS 1-800 and they said they would not be able to deliver a POD until tomorrow. I canceled my order. I would never go with PODS again, as there's no guarantee you'll POD will be delivered on time. read more

I will always communicate when I deal with a bad company, I want others to know from our experience. Be very careful read everything, They will charge for delivery AND pick up, and if you didn't use the pod and you realize it has to go back for whatever reasons, they do not pro rate. If you keep it one day, they charge you full price. Their customer service was rude and their attitude was "too bad so sad, you should have read the contract" And yes, we should read everything, but knowing that they do not give grace periods, they want access to your accounts, with that type of attitude is really spooky. I would give a zero if there is an option for me. This company is going down in service. Two hours late drop off time for PODS. No call no show for picking up our PODS is unacceptable. Customer service team in Florida seemed to pick up the phone and asked if they can help with anything, but obviously they are NOT trained to help in term of knowledge, problem solving skills, communication manner and hospitality. I would have given 4 Stars until the final delivery happened. During the time of renting and storing at the Longwood Facility was great, each time we needed access, the facility did a great job of bringing it out and staging it; no damage to any of my items. BUT WAIT FOR IT .... now it's time to finalize your rental and have it delivered; delivery to your residence is set Thursday delivery window 3:15-5:15 ... BOOM, at 4:00 the Manager calls and says they can't make it, so I already took half day off from work Thursday "lost time". So he says we can be there Friday morning between 6-7:00 am and I said "well I need this POD picked up Monday" and he said "to help us out he will pick it up for you on Saturday". NO NEED to call Customer Service, he says "we will handle it." So my Husband and I killed ourselves all day Friday and Saturday morning. I called the Manager (his personal cell); left 4 voice mails, texted .... No response; even spoke to the Driver twice; which was not help. Why offer a pick-up service if you never had any intentions of picking up the POD? So I got screwed for a Monday pickup and was told I had to wait until Thursday to be picked up .... NOPE I raised hell w/ Customer Service and the District Manager, POD removed Monday night at 7pm. Johnny Thank you for that. Now The Billing Dept., we pay for a month in advance and you get to keep our money when we return it within that billing cycle, so you get 16 days of my money! Keeping money for services not rendered!!! Looks like it's time to look into a Class Action Law Suit. read more

This was the WORST experience I have EVER had with ANY Company: 1) The machine that unloaded the POD was "Huge", much larger than the POD itself. It had four strange pivoting dual tires that extended several feet beyond the sides of the POD. As a result the dual tires tore up the lawn, tore off the the sprinkler heads in the lawn, scraped up and marked the driveway, damaged the curb alongside the driveway and smeared heavy black grease all over the plants alongside the driveway which resulted in us having to cut the leaves off of the plants. The machine was about 20 ft high when backing clear of the POD so we had to cut back a tree to get the machine clear. Other container companies have some simple fork-lift machine to place their containers. 2) The "Customer Service" is the WORST! After you place the order they tell you how THEY will do things and on what schedule with NO consideration of your needs or concerns. And heaven forbid is you need to make a change: There was change in the construction schedule that required the POD to be moved and they said that it was just tough luck as they would not alter the original schedule or if they did change the schedule it would just add several days to the pickup. When I said this would work I was told that this was the way it was going to be an that there was no one else to talk to and the Agent hung up on me. We have previously used Rat-Pack with NONE of this nonsense but our Company recently got a "Business Account" with PODs. What a mistake! read more

PODS will charge additional fees they do not inform you about over the phone at the time of booking! If you don't mind being taken advantage of, use PODS. If unanticipated charges concern you, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! My total delivery fee was supposed to be $973.49. They charged my cc for that fee 1/4/19. Out of nowhere, on 1/11/19 they charged my cc again for an additional amount of $335.58. When I called to inquire, I was told the extra charge was added for mileage. That was never mentioned when I confirmed the total for delivery of my belongings. Be aware PODS will charge you hundreds more than what they mention during your order, and there is nothing you can do about it. Trust me on this one! read more

Awful experience, tons of hidden charges. Three weeks late on delivery, charged us almost double the quoted delivery fee. AVOID.

This has to be the nightmare move form hell. We moved from Hacienda Heights, CA to Palm Desert, CA. My son had used Units but I decided to use PODS. Big mistake. They are totally incompetent and stupid idiots. They are in the wrong business. Believe me. Lesson learned, "listen to your children". I ordered my POD on the phone and they said you're moving from Hacienda Heights to Palm Desert. No problem it is only about 100 miles. A two hour drive. They delivered the POD, we filled it, called the number for pick up and received their confirmation call that some one would be there tomorrow between 10:00 and 1:00 PM. Perfect. Wrong. At 1:45 nothing. Crickets. I called the local rep who I originally talked to and he said some times they can be late but he would check. Hold on. He comes back and says your order was cancelled by the warehouse manager because it was too far to drive. What??? You took the order, I packed my stuff, it's in your box and sitting in my driveway. Why didn't someone call me? Man, I closed escrow and am on my last day to vacate. He said he was sorry but there is nothing we can do because the Warehouse Manager is in charge. I call the national number. They say no, your driver is still on his way. You account has a green light which means we are still coming. I tell the guy what the local rep told me. Hold on. He comes back sorry but it was cancelled. Yes by the Warehouse Manager. No he didn't tell anyone. No Palm Desert is not too fare. Yes it is just a 2 hour drive for a big truck. SoI say what the ---- am I supposed to do. Everything is packed in your box. I was supposed to be out of the house today. I can't stay here because there is literally nothing in the house. Hold on. Back again. Here's what we will do. Tomorrow we will pick up (you don't have to be there) your box and take it to Chino Hills, then on Friday we will pick up the box in Chino Hills and take it to Riverside and on Saturday we will drop off your box in Palm Desert. Complete stupidity. They should be sent on a suicide mission in the Middle East. No kidding. Well, praise the lord they delivered the box on Saturday, 4 days late. We emptied it and called them the next day for pick up. They said we can't get anyone there for 21 days to pick it up. I thought "of course you can't" that would be efficient and you could have one less box in inventory instead of two. But you wouldn't want to do that. Nooooooooo. I swear it is run by complete fools. Seriously. Carry your stuff in a wheel barrel. You will get it there faster than PODS. read more

I used PODS and they are a total ripoff. Every month they just take out money, I call them to report fraud and they hang up on me. That's real professional and I am sure not part of the BBB practice. I call back get someone else, spend an hour and a half with someone who seems competent and she says oh sorry we will refund you in 3 to 5 days. It is January, the balance has been paid off since September. Wtf. DO NOT USE THEM, YOU WILL BE SORRY IF YOU DO. Also, I need to mention that they are all like robots; they DO NOT CARE. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY PODS is a joke. Do not use them. I'm living the nightmare that is PODS customer service and logistics departments. I will NEVER use PODS again. I've had the worse experience with this company. My delivery date and location were changed TWICE without notice. My POD was falsely confirmed as delivered TWICE. I paid the deposit and cancellation fees for movers and took off work TWICE. Customer Service and logistics departments do NOT know where my POD is nor when it will arrive. They suggested I call back every day. They use third party trucking service to transport PODS that they admittedly can NOT get a hold of. As of today my POD has not arrived and I have filed an insurance claim as everything may have disappeared. read more

They picked up the POD three days late from our house in Charlotte NC, then delivered it two days late after we arrived in San Diego. It was due to be delivered in San Diego on November 17th and ended up being delivered on November 19th. We tried to get compensated for the extra two days we spent in a hotel while waiting for the POD, but no one got back to me. One customer service person that l spoke to heard my British accent, then spent 20-minutes telling me about her favorite British TV shows. Then she hung up on me and never called back. When the POD finally arrived, it looked as if it had been spun around and turned upside down. We had a slew of damaged furniture and half our belongings were covered in a white substance which had clearly come down from the ceiling of the POD. So far, we've spent over $1300 rebuying damaged furniture. We had previously used PODS in the past and had no issues at all, but this time it was a disaster from start to finish. I was promised a manager would call me - that never happened, and I was allocated a person who would supposedly look into any compensation...I never heard from her either, despite my emails and phone calls to her. I would never recommend PODS to anyone. Everything about them reeked of unprofessionalism and the fact that I was consistently put on hold showed how much they care about their customers. They are a hot mess. Addendum: I heard from a person in the Social Media division of PODS and he said a member of the "Senior Customer Resolution Team" would be reaching out to me. This was in December. I contacted him again on January 14th and said this: "Hello M***** - While we continue to await the response from the diligent research done by the PODS team (it's been five weeks without a word, but I'm sure they're working hard at it), I just wanted to point out a couple of other pieces of damage. We've protected our IKEA office table for years, but considering all the damage done to our other major belongings from the PODS journey, I guess we can count ourselves lucky with just these scratch marks, annoying as they are. The cracked glass at the top of the print is terrible. We've had this print for eleven years and it cost a small fortune to have framed (the print is 40" x 28") and it's been in fine fettle all this time. Leave it to PODS to add this print to the rest of the damage, which now stands at a cost of $1,600 that we've spent to rebuy our damaged / destroyed belongings. The good news is that I've already dissuaded at least one person from using PODS. A physician colleague of mine just moved (also from Charlotte) to San Francisco. He had to move a five-bedroom house. He decided against using PODS after hearing our story. So, a small victory". I sent photos with this email. My advice...avoid PODS at all costs. Terrible customer service and loud music- especially having to call 30 time and being given the runaround. They just leave your pod hanging out and cannot even tell you where your belongings are and do not care if they are subject to heat and elements. Customer reps cannot hold a call without accidentally hanging up - thats if you get through at all- the wait music is terrible -especially after thirty calls to confirm an order that was confirmed and not fulfilled. Drivers call with ETA and then never show. They are totally unreliable. And managers are nowhere to be found. These guys do not have their act together. Go elsewhere. read more

First of all, they put the pod in facing away from the condo building. I was also billed twice in one month, and it took them 4 months to refund my money. I called several times about the billing issue, and each time I was told some one would call me back. I email the gentlemen over-seeing my account about the billing issue, and it took him 5 weeks to respond to my email. I received a quote on how much it would cost to have the pod moved to the new locations and was given a confirmation number. When I call to schedule the move using the confirmation number two days later, I was told that price was no longer any good, even though they told me quotes are good for seven days. The customer service reps rarely know what's going on when you call them. It was overall convenient to move my things and store them in the short time I had to move, and because I didn't have a home yet to put my things right away, it all worked out, but this company can do a better job in every area. read more

Pods was supposed to deliver my Pod but delivered someone elses instead. Left me and my family stranded in an empty house for a whole week with the worst customer service possible. Meanwhile another person's pod sat in my driveway that came from a different state. Imagine if this family knew their belongings were not where they were supposed to be. Noone ever reached out to resolve the situation. I was promised a phone call. I have emailed and left voicemails. I even tried emailing the president with no response. Do your research and see how many people are dissatisfied with Pods. It shows in all their reviews. I will never use them again and I will be very vocal with how terrible they are. Any good business will try to make an unhappy customer satisfied in some way especially when the issue was caused by them. read more

PODS is truly one of the absolute most dishonest and terrible companies I have ever used for relocation. They over charge for everything then never call you back or return emails. They even refused to come pick the pods back up on the scheduled date and now our driveway will be blocked for the holidays. They are even charging us while we have their empty pods!! It's insane.
